I stayed in the Hollywood Apartel from December 11th to December 14th. Upon check in, I was told a crime scene investigation would be taking place outside of my apartment door because of an incident two days prior. I asked if it was a murder and they refused to give me information. I was told there was blood on the floor outside the apartment and police still at the scene. I insisted to be moved to another unit and was told that would not be possible. When I attempted to reach reservations, the line was disconnected twice from Dmitri(?) hanging up and Nazan refusing to speak to me. After 40 minutes, I was only offered another apartment after a «last minute cancellation.» I asked every team member I spoke with if they would live in this unit and they all said no. I am disappointed in the lack of concern for your guests comfort. Being that the incident happened two days ago, I should have been communicated well in advance so I could make plans accordingly

I’m going to give this 5 stars because I live in an apartment normally, so this it solves allot of the issues of a normal hotel vs apartment. BUT the process is VERYDIY. First off– yes you have to check in at an office around the corner to get your parking key, apartment 6 number pass code. To do this you need to find street parking.(really not that big of an issue.) Parking is $ 30 a day at the lot under the building. If you think you will not need to access you car you can park at the lot across the street for $ 20.(I choose $ 30 because I needed time to go back and forth to my car for all of my bags.) The rooms are cleaned before and after your stay BUT there is a trash chute on every floor, This comes in VERY handy. Also(in the room i had) there were dishes AND dish soap. sponges, a washer and dryer with soap provided. You can also pay $ 35 to have a maid come in, but it’s really not worth it. and(this came in handy) there is a toilet plunger AND toilet brush so if you clog the toilet(as i did) you can fix it yourself instead of waiting for help. But the main reason I booked this hotel was because it’s just a few blocks away from tcl chinese theatre which is a starting point for many tour buses. So over all. If you are the kind of person who wants a nice room in a nice location, AND you are the type of person who does NOT use maid service, AND does not need help getting your luggage to your room– this hotel is for you. If you want more active customer service– try a more traditional hotel.(there are plenty in the area.)

This company unfairly took money from me. They even charged for cleaning when I actually did not even take the reservation. I showed up around 9 pm and followed their email instructions to obtain a key and nobody answered the door. I waited around for an hour trying to call someone to see if I can get into my room. I ended up leaving and staying at a much nicer facility that doesn’t charge for parking. A 4 night reservation worth over 800 dollars was not refunded. does not advertise their parking fees or cleaning fees. I wouldn’t have made the reservation in the first place had I known that there would be such extravagent fees. The place was centrally located in LA, but there are tons of better places to stay. If they don’t have the decency to refund my money, I owe it to others to let them know of what a seedy place this is. Ginosi apartments has not, at least up no now said when, how much and to whom they will charge what they will. Do not choose this please.

Needed lodging for Rose Parade. Stayed here. Parking cost extra $ 25/day. Toilet stopped up but since it is holiday, no maintenance to fix issue. Lucky this rental was a two bedroom with two bathrooms. Upper floor was extremely noisy with foot steps and jumping. Party in one apartment was noisy on New Year’s Eve through 3am(assume this to be exception to their no party rule). Combination door lock so don’t forget to take combination when going out. No dead bolt on door like residents living here. Elevator is secured with key fob to allow access to elevator floors so remember to take fob with you as you go out together as you only get one fob. Check in was on busy touristy Hollywood Blvd so allow time to park and register.

Do not book here! This place if under investigation for fraud and double booking rooms and not allowing people into once they have the money. Ginosi Apartments will be bankrupt within the next year and will be looking to make cash by using this tactic on unsuspecting people. DONOTBOOKHERE!

I booked this apartment via vs booking a hotel room for two nights. The prices were great, location is what we needed and it had everything a nice hotel has but for a better price. I really enjoyed my stay here. I knocked off a star due to a few housekeeping issues i was displeased with but overall the apartment is great. If you have a car park across the street, its $ 20 per night, expensive but its better than street parking which is hectic in this area, and that’s around the amount you will pay at a 4 hotel in this area anyway. The company sends you very detailed info on how to retrieve your key to the apartment upon arrival along with a video as well. There is no reception desk or check in area so pay close attention this detailed email they will send if you book with them, it came to my email 2 days after i booked. The apartment was spacious, had updated appliances and granite counter tops, balcony, hardwood floors, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, plasma, free wifi, pool, jacuzzi, BBQ area, lobby lounge and fitness center. It had everything we needed and i also liked that how it looks online is how it looks in person. Everything in the apartment also worked well and was fully functional. If you want the comforts of a nice hotel/home feel book this apartment! TIP: The company who owns the apartment is called Ginosi, just google it and it will pop up. They have other apartment rentals thorough out LA as well…
