I used to really like this place. The Coconut Shrimp is great and thats the only star I’m giving it. I stopped by over the weekend. 5 min after leaving I started feeling sick and had to pull my car over to vomit. I spent my entire Saturday night in the bathroom. Either employees aren’t washing their hands or the food isn’t being kept at the right temperature. I’m never coming here again and I really enjoyed eating here for almost 4 – 5 years.

False advertising. Came in at lunch time expecting to pay 11.99 for lunch buffet(since it was advertised outside) when I got my bill it was $ 23 for dinner buffet. Completely unethical. Food wasn’t fresh either. Never coming here again!

I was asking if they can change the channel to NBA. The waiter said«No». Then I said«Okay, I’ll find another place to eat then.» He then take the folks and knives back. What a «good» service! I eat there at least once a month, they treat me like this? I’ll never come here anymore.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch and it’s generally just okay. They have a very large selection of food which is good, including a fresh ramen section and freshly cooked meat section. In the fresh meat section, you can choose steak, chicken breast, shrimp, and«imitation crab»(although it looked like salmon, maybe it was mislabeled). You can also add onions, noodles, bean sprouts, mushrooms and other sides to be cooked with your meat by the chef right there. I think this is the best thing about Hokkaido as everything else is pretty mediocre. They have all your typical selection of asian foods and some nice touches like a chocolate fountain for their fruits and desserts. They also have a sushi bar but the sushi is all pretty bland. Some of the food like the fried rice and pot stickers had a strange sweet taste. It wasn’t a bad taste but just very different than I’m used to. tl;dr Hokkaido chose quantity over quality.

This place is more of a Chinese buffet rather than Japanese as the name would suggest. That aside, the hot food is kind of salty but not the horrible. The sushi on the other hand, was uneatable as the stench of old inappropriately refrigerated fish permeated the sushi area. The best choice was the tepanyaki station which was actually quite good. The décor is quite poor and fixtures are falling apart. You can do worse than here but there are certainly better places for your all you eat desires.

Went there tonight for my mom’s birthday only to have eaten spoiled cheesecake! It’s usually my favorite but I nearly vomited. I thought it was just me so I had my sister and mom try it. They both agreed that it tasted really bad. I told the manager on duty, some young guy, and after some time talking to his employees tells me that the store they get it from accidentally made it with some other sort of fruit. WTH does that mean? There’s fruit in cheesecake? I knew it was BS instantly. I was very disappointed in my experience here. We go there all the time in the past. The food was also all old and you can tell it’s been sitting under the heat lamps all evening. Business has really gone down at this place. Less and less people show up. I don’t see them lasting long especially at that busy and prime location. I asked the manager for a discount for our horrible food tonight and he just laughed. I also want to add that they received a score of B.

We came here about 3 years ago and it was great! But now food was average :(…first of all the seating booths or most like 80% needs to be changed it was peeling and old… so moved to table… Food doesn’t seem as fresh like before and bathrooms need to be updated… Next time we will just stay on our side of town for seafood buffet for mothers day:(:(:(

Sadly, this restaurant has been steadily going down hill since I first started going there a few years ago. The food quality isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. The choices are the same, which could be considered good or bad. Personally, I’d like to see a few new items on the menu. The desserts(except the ice cream) are awful – dry, flavorless, etc. Lastly, the place is starting to look unkempt. The booth seats are tearing and the carpet always looks dirty. I wonder if the place just isn’t making enough money to maintain itself. Too bad. It was a great idea.

Food is ok. But the place is worn out, carpet very dirty, so are the chairs. Hard to enjoy the food when it’s disgusting around us.

With 2 ½ stars, I almost expected to get food poisoning from this place. I didn’t. I don’t get what’s so bad about this place. It’s really 3 ½ stars, but I rounded up, because 2 ½ stars makes it seem like you shouldn’t go here. I’m not a huge fan of buffets, but this one had Peking duck! I came here on a Friday night, around 5PM, and I guess that’s when the food is still fresh, because I did not have a problem with any of the food that I tried. Egg rolls and shiu mai were a little salty. The fresh sushi section did not disappoint. There was a ton of salmon sashimi! There seemed to be a poke tray too. I’m not sure if it’s labeled as such, but it was chunks of fish in a marinade. The hot food section is pretty much an unlimited version of Panda Express. They had a corner with some other meats and ribs and Mongolian bbq. There’s an ice cream machine and a chocolate fountain. My favorite dessert was the taro and sago pudding, which came in a little white pot in the refrigerator next to the ice cream machine. It was refreshing and not too sweet after the heavy meal. If you’re trying to go to a Chinese buffet, this is exactly what you’re looking for. If you want a nice dinner, why even enter«buffet» as a search term?

This review is not on the food. I walked in here with my bf thinking a buffet sounded like a good idea. I was starving. There was one person in the whole restaurant eating and that was the first red flag. The server, I’m guessing, took us to a half booth table. Of all the tables she chose to seat us at the most disgusting, worn down, cushion. At first I thought that the cushions were multi colored, but then I realized that the whole cushion seat was completely torn apart and the foam was coming out. I was shocked. The beer menu stand that was on the table was so sticky and gross I felt disgusted after picking it up. Everything was just too gross to make me want to stay so my bf and I politely apologized and left. We walked two feet to Westside Tavern instead. There is no reason a restaurant should be in such a deplorable condition.

Long story short, Had a couple pieces of tuna sashimi. Some were spoiled. Did not have a great time at night. 2 stars because the other buffet items were solid.

I came here for my daughter’s birthday AKA Easter dinner. It was pretty good. I’m a vegetarian had at least 5 items I could choose from. A couple of «Yucks» but not too much. Overall OKp The price is a $$$$!!! Kids are charged b(= height and my kids are tall but they’re still only 9 years old. ‘(

Out of the locations this is my favorite. The buffet selection is huge. From prepared foods to Mongolian Stir Fry. Phở, sushi, desserts and a chocolate fountain! Something for everyone. We take friends there for dinner.

Some of the buffet items were good(sushi, miso soup) and some were very so-so(rice, shrimp, chicken) while some were absolutely inedible(flan way too eggy, felt like I was eating a sweet omelet!). The best items are the sushi which were fresh and quite tasty with a hint of spicy mayo. However I didn’t venture with the sashimi as I was not sure of the cleanliness nor the freshness of the product. The vegetable tempura was also very good! Very crispy and savory. The desserts were awful… The ice cream tastes like it was made with spoiled dried milk, very flaky with a very bad aftertaste. The brownies were as dry as the desert, felt like I was eating paper. The coffee cake was very greasy. Overall the quality of the food was okay, I would only give it one star but the service was good.

I always say that buffet’s and McDonalds are always a bad idea. Sometimes, some insidious part of your brain convinces you otherwise, and then the inevitable guilt and shame follow your bad judgement. The only thing I think worth getting at McDonald’s, and this is pushing it, is the coffee and MAYBE an ice cream. Buffet’s are ONLY worth it if you limit what you eat. But then, what the hell is the point? You’re paying a premium to be able to eat a lot. And because of the volume, the quality isn’t good. So if you’re going to limit yourself, eat low quality food, and pay a premium — well that just doesn’t make sense does it. So pay the same price, eat high quality food, you’re STILL going to eat too much. You just wont eat AS much and it’ll be better. See, I just logically proved that you should NEVER, EVER, go to a buffet. That said I hope this place does not go out of business because something about it’s existence makes me feel warm inside. If it does however go out of business I hope something awesome replaces it.

I was quite upset to have spent nearly $ 50 to dine here. Sadly when this place first opened, they were doing very well. It saddens me to see that it has deteriorated in quality beyond belief. The food has gone down in quality. The soup containers aren’t refilled when they are almost empty. The most obvious sign is that their seating and back cushions need to be replaced. The seat cushions are horrible chipped and damaged. Additionally, Pillars have paint peeling off and left as crumbs on the floor. Another annoying rule is that they assign you what sections you can and can’t sit in. As a a result, their sectioned off seating is kept so pristine because this stupid rule while people have to sit where the seats are damaged. There used to be mochi and green tea ice creams as well as varieties of other desserts. Now I’m just happy to see fresh fruit is still available. The nice aspect is that there is plentiful sushi but even that has gone down in quality as well. There’s also other varieties of seafood to choose from. You can also have your food grilled and cooked in front of you in certain areas of the restaurant. The staff is lovely and attentive but this wasn’t enough for me to raise my rating. This place really needs to invest in better seating and minor adjustments if they want to stay in business and keep people coming in and spending their money here. I sadly won’t be dining here anymore and regret spending my $ 50 for 2 adults. Sorry.

Traffic is garbage. But they give you 3 hours free in the underground parking. But for around $ 12 you get your monies worth here. Mind you, these are lunch prices. Would not recommend for dinner. Look, this is AYCE, it’s not rocket science. Maybe the fact that people are expecting some high-end restaurant affair is the reason why there are low reviews. Come in. Get seated. Wait for waiter to offer you drink. Then walk over and show the world why Murica is so great! Plate after plate of food while the world starves of hunger. Best feeling in the world, right? No? OK. Try not to think about it. But seriously, the food is pretty good. At least 3 star worthy. Cause let’s face it, all buffets are 3 star worthy. But their Mongolian BBQ station is good. And they have a chocolate fondue station! And red bean ice cream that I’ve never heard of that’s pretty tasty. Basically the rest of your buffet staples are here; their take on Asian food and seafood and fried chicken and pizza, etc. But seriously, their Mongolian BBQ is the shit. There is no limit to the amount of meat you wanna stack on your plate. Not afraid of looking like a fatty like me? I stack up and make myself a surf n turf plate like a boss. Steak and shrimp with noodles. God’s gift to man.

I have been here several times over the years. I have found the food to be very tasty and there is good variety here. I like their seafood selection of shrimp, squid and clams. I have not been here for dinner recently where there is greater variety of seafood and meats. As of this date the bench seats are torn and it looks bad, but the food quality seems to be same.
