Hipstermaid

I got hipster-​maided over the weekend and let me tell you. I AM IMPRESSED. Sign up and scheduling the appointment was super easy. Their website had such a friendly UI and arranging a visit was a snap!
Their customer support was super supportive of the logistics challenge we had (I was going out of town and my roommate was going to let them in). On of the day of the cleaning, my roommate overslept and snoozed through the scheduled time. Being super-​cool hipsters, he contacted costumer support and before you can spell out the word C-​L-​E-​A-​N, the maid team came back and started cleaning the place. That’s what I call service!
When I got back from my trip, the living room was spotless, the kitchen was immaculate, and the bathroom was ready to eat off of. I give Hipstermaid my highest Unilocal 5 star rating and hope other friends can experience them!

I live in a five bedroom house on weekdays with 5 other people and it was in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. The kind folks over at Hipstermaid were able to accommodate my M-​F schedule and send someone out at 6:45 PM on a Wednesday. That someone was Valerie, an absolute sweetheart who arrived precisely on time and ready to get to work.
The living room and kitchen areas of the house are usually pretty messy, but Valerie did a great job tidying up with all counters cleaned and all carpet vacuumed; A+ there. My bathroom mirrors, toilets, and floor were very well-​cleaned but there are still a couple stubborn spots in the shower. The company only uses green products which is great for the environment but may not be so great when it comes to heavy duty cleaning jobs. This wasn’t a huge deal for me, though. My bedroom was cleaned last; she did a solid job here mopping my floor, changing my sheets, and dusting the hell out of the place, but since she was coming up on hour 4 and since she was working alone, it was a tad rushed and a couple minute details were missed (namely my closet mirror and sliding door). From what I understand, the maids typically work in teams so I don’t think this will be a problem in the future. The house in question is pretty far from LA proper which is probably why the evening collaborative effort was a little harder to swing. Their LA operation is also pretty new so they’re probably still ironing out the kinks. Honestly, I’m just grateful that they were able to send someone out that far away and at that hour.
Overall, I really enjoyed having Valerie over and she did a great job! The Hipstermaid booking website is very easy to use and the flat rates they charge for someone who’s had a thorough background check are pretty reasonable. I’d definitely use the service again!
