I thought I was probably going to get a regular slice of pizza. I was surprised on how good it was. The crust is so delicious. Add toppings to that and you got a winner. Pizza was cooked within 10 min. I looked around the room and saw others digging into their slices. I’ll be back.

Love it! Had the Luca, damn good pizza! It’s hard to find good pizza in LA. Hill Street has the best crust I have had in years!

I’ve always seen Hill Street Pizza on @happeningdtla’s insta for $ 5 specials, but to be honest, the pizzas are not photogenic. Let me tell you people, if this pizza was on Tinder, I would swipe left. One night after leaving Mrs Fish, it was there so… why not! Since I was here in real life, I tried it out and it was GOOD! We got the mushroom pizza and couldn’t be happier. The pizza took a long while, but we did some people watching to pass the time. Super friendly service though and there’s wifi avail. UPDATE: I came back on another random night cause I was craving Hill Street Pizza. It was ok, but definitely not as good after a night at Mrs Fish lol So all in all…3 stars on a regular day, 4 stars for late night eats if you’re patient enough.

Food — eh, okay. Location — they got lucky there. Service — moderate. Price — bit expensive. Timing — open till late. My cousin was visiting me from Atlanta — took him to Perch for a nice evening on a Friday night. It started getting packed as the night progressed so we decided to relocate ourselves to Mrs. Fish which is literally a walking distance. In that process is when we noticed this pizza joint. We decided to give a try. Ordered a Plain Cheese Pizza and a Moroccan Pizza. I would say that the pizza was too greasy and the proportion was quite small. It is a tiny place and I was happy that we came here before it started getting really busy and people did not have any room to sit. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive since they started baking the pizza after we ordered — till that time we entertained ourselves by observing drunk people coming in and out of the restaurant.

Happy to work in the building above this fine pizza place. It’s perfect… Except it draws me to it often. I love the gruyère and arugula pizza… I get it with out the speck but I’m sure it’s unctuous as all get go. The pizza is perfectly crisp… The Barrata pizza is also my favorite, a basil leaf atop a table spoon of Barrata each slice with a shaving of parm… it’s perfect. All the guys in my office love the fennel sausage, there’s nothing not to love… They’re all great.

Best pizza I have had in a long time. If you go, ask for a pizza with: cherry tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and olive oil. You’re welcome. Service = 5 Atmosphere = 5 Pizza = 5 Price = Reasonable

If you’re looking for a late night bite after being out in DTLA, this is the best place! This joint is conveniently located next to Perch and Mrs. Fish. Of the few times that I’ve been here, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! I love coming here because I haven’t been disappointed– their pizzas are always amazing!

My friend and I accidentally discovered this place before having a few drinks at Perch next door. We were confused with the menu at first but shortly realized you can customize your own pizza. We ordered just the red sauce, mozzarella, and basil. It was the perfect size to share! I can’t be more excited about how perfect the crust was! Usually thin pizzas tend to get soggy but this one still stayed crispy. This pizza is definitely on my top 5 list. Great find!

Great artisan style pizza served into the wee hours of the night, so you don’t have to eat junk after that night out. Tried a slice each of the Moroccan, the Provence, the Italian and the Bruchetta. All very different and worth trying.

It’s ok… The pro’s: –Satisfying and filling –They take credit cards –Walking distance to Perch The con’s: –A very long wait since they bake their pizza right after you order –A bit too pricey in my book for the single serving pizza you get, though it’s enough for one person –Too much crust to middle, in my opinion

I strolled in right after Mrs. Fish next door. wasn’t too sure what to expect since it looked fairly new. BUT good thing I popped in before the rest of the crowd cuz it got quite busy. I got the Italian which was a-ok. And take into consideration that I was semi-buzzed and still thought it was just OK. The ingredients did indeed seem fresh, but the actual texture/chewyness of the pizza was kinda ehh — it was a bit too soft in the center. The crust however, was quite tasty and seasoned well. I’m sure I’ll probably end up eating here again in the near future just to try out their other pizzas on another drunken night.

Great eats especially when you’re drunk! Delish Provence pizza that came w/goat cheese, potatoes and olives. I usually don’t like pizza but I loved this!

After an evening at Mrs. Fish I randomly checked out the Legendary Hill Street Pizza. I was first impressed to hear the playlist the moment I walked in. However more so by the fact that the head chef knew my name right off the bat… almost as if he knew me. I ordered the(Fennel Sausage). The inner fat kid in me found myself wanting to order another. That’s how good this gem of a spot is.

Finally there’s a pizza place in DTLA that doesn’t have the same menu and ingredients that you see at every other spot. Some the best are the Provence, the Mushroom, and tasty retake of the Caprese salad

Randomly, this place came out of nowhere. No «grand opening» sign or anything. Maybe the Pizza God’s decided that downtown LA needed a solid pizza spot, so Hill Street Pizza was born. I ordered the white pie with the potato and olives(The Provance). I think to myself: «Potato and olive white pie? Random but i’ll try it»… You don’t understand how legit this pie is. You have to go in and try for yourself. The crust, the cheese, everything about this pie is solid. So i’ve had 3 pie’s since this place opened and i got a little gorda, oh well. Life is short, have some Hill Street Pizza!

A 700 degree oven, they take seven minutes to make your pizza. Hmm. Most of that is them putting it together. It’s a great downtown spot next to Perch and Mrs. Fish. Perfect for a post-early-drunk pizza. Here’s the thing though, it’s actually a classy joint. Leather lined booths and a metal finished cafeteria style table and a posh pizza menu will impress most. The New Yorker will be happy because you can order a simple, pepperoni pizza too. That’s a big deal in Los Angeles. Especially for a pizza place on Hill Street that seems to exclusively play Modest Mouse.

It’s a terrible thing for my diet, but I’m glad to have a quality pizza place this close to where I work/live. Seems like they’re still experimenting a bit, but the crust was crispy and the toppings did a good job of staying on top of the pizza. This will be a great spot to grab a quick bite before hitting up Perch or Mrs. Fish!
