omgggggggg this place has been around FOREVER&i can’t say FOREVER definitively enough! this isn’t just for(AUTHENTIC) soondae lovers(u kno, the dark smelly kind– not for the ‘white people korean food’ eaters), but i luv this place for their gritty thick broth&meaty/plentiful ‘mystery meats’…other ‘soondae soup’ places DON’T COMPARE to this place cuz the broth&meats make all the difference. plus the people that come here are old grumpy fobby korean men who don’t speak a word of english, but are having the time of their lives just being away from their nagging wives hanging out here&getting drunk on soju&watching korean soccer or something. so there’s that too! :) anyway, if ur hungover, come here! if ur feeling under the weather, come here! if ur sick of the usual day-in/day-out ‘korean bbq’ fare, then come here! &the2types of kimchi they have alone are worth buying separately! the owner ladies have changed but the new lady is JUSTAS ‘involved’ &gives u extra everything just cuz it’s never that packed in here(except maybe on wknds at nites when it’s cold out). i made soooo many trips out here from brentwood– sooooo worth it!
