Attn. all hairstylists! DO Not PURCHASEHAIRLOCS!!! I have been a hairdresser for 40 yrs and have been doing extensions for way over 20yrs. I lost a very valuable client due to the incompetence of this company and poor quality of their hair. I booked out 3 hrs. for client just to open pkg. of hair which was totally different from the my client had to come back the next day(my day off) just to notice that this time, the color they sent(which was supposed to be 3 shades lighter, ands I didn’t trust them at this time) was still different from the swatch!!! She was to leave on a trip the next day so I had no choice but to tone them, which totally changed the integrity of the poor quality of hair to begin with!!! I will never use this hair again!!! Right now my bank is trying to get my money back!

For the love of God, do not waste your money on this company. I have been wearing extensions for over five years and this is the most disastrous experience I have ever had with any type of extension. I am very aware on how to properly care for extensions. I have my cosmetology license and I used all professional products on my hair extensions. Sure they looked good at first. They felt«alright» compared to other brands that I’ve used, a bit dry. But I fixed it with multiple hair masks and it was acceptable. However, after a few weeks, any time I would go to touch my hair, heaps and heaps would just fall right out. Chunks of hair almost the size of the entire I– Link. This was not your«normal shedding». I will be posting photos so you can see how the hair just breaks off at the top. I always always carefully brush my hair from the ends, so it’s not a matter of being rough with it. I’m as careful as you can be with these. & I know that it is not my stylist because I know how these are installed and I can vouch that she does a very good job. She is also certified with Hairlocs and agrees that what she saw was absolutely unacceptable. SHEEVEN stopped wearing the hair from Hairlocs and bought from another company… I spent over $ 500 on this company and I was told this hair was going to last me up to a year with proper care. I got to wear them for about TWOMONTHS? WITHPROPERCARE before getting them re-done(which cost another $ 175) and then slowly the hair just started snapping away even more. Before I knew it I just had STRINGS hanging past my hair. It was disgusting. I had to buy an extra bundle the second time just to fill in the hair that had fallen out. The tops of the extensions are completely frayed with a string of hair hanging out of it because you can see all the hair that has broken off. Imagine that PLUS all of the stuff still at your scalp… It’s absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know what kind of hair this is but I don’t believe it is 100% remy. Maybe they are using some really cheap low quality glue that starts disintegrating after a few washes so the hair starts falling out, I don’t know. Like I said I’ve never experienced such terrible quality. SALLYBEAUTY’S has better quality. I had the light blonde ombré I Tips, so maybe they were bleached(over processed) and someone just isn’t being honest about it or something. I emailed Hairlocs about getting some replacement hair since I barely got any use out of mine and since I just wasted a crap load of money and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I do understand that the hair doesn’t come with a warranty, but I don’t think anyone should have to deal with what I did and I just want to do everything in my power to make sure no one else has to waste their money like I did! All I know is that I AMSOTHANKFUL that I didn’t make the choice to become certified with them at the hair show!!! I truly feel awful for any stylist that made the choice to become certified with this company and has to deal with this and represent this pitiful hair, and I would imagine probably a lot of really upset clients! I would recommend finding another company!!!

One star is too high of a review for these extensions . I own a hair extension and restoration studio and I use many types of hair extensions and hair pieces so I am knowledgable in this field. I have been using hot heads tape ins for a couple years but decided to give hairlocs a try after seeing them at the hair show in Nyc this year. Not only are their reps uneducated about their product, they have terrible customer service. The quality of their hair is poor. I wear everything I offer before selling it to clients. This hair was dry and knotted and felt like cheap track hair after one wash. After multiple unreturned phone calls made to the company to inquire about hair quality I have decided to write this review. They offer no wet line for hair care for their product as well as no remover. On top of poor hair quality their tape is gummy and sticky and leaves a gross residue on the hair. Very difficult to remove as opposed to hot heads . I would not recommend these extensions at all.

Hi, I am a hairstylist of 10 years and purchased hairlocs hair at this past hair show in January 2015. I bought and got installed a full head for myself and a ordered a full head for a client as well. I was trying this brand because the hair felt so good and the prices were less expensive than some. However, the price we saved was not worth the quality of the hair. When I took my set of tape-ins out after the first 6 weeks, the tapes were deteriorating and the hair was peeling apart from the weft. I managed to get most of them back in, but will definitely not get the 3 uses out of this hair like I was told from hair locs. I called the customer service line and was redirected to the educator, who said she would get back to me and never did, she completely put the blame on me as if I don’t know how to use extensions. I have been a certified extension specialist for 5 years, and using tape for about 3 years. Also I have called about three times since and never received a call back, finally today I called three times and actually got to speak to someone who said I could get 50% off each of my next five bundles, why would I want to try five more bundles of this terrible hair. My client I bought them for does not even want to put that set back in her hair. She said she would be okay with a new set, so since I only need two sets of tape in, instead of 50% off 5 bundles, it would actually save the company money to just send me two new sets for her, as I will not be putting this hair back in my head. If the quality of the hair was better, or if the customer service wasn’t so terrible, maybe this company would work for someone who has money to just buy new hair every time. I wish this company would have owned up to there mistake or not lie about getting 3 uses out of something only to make the hairstylist look bad. Obviously the hairstylist is not their important client, since they also sell to unlicensed public. I can not belive the only way they are dealing with a problem from a customer is make that customer buy more of their products.

This use to be a reputable company however in the last coupe of years, something has changed. Not sure if they are in financial trouble or what. This is what is going on now: 1. never return phone calls or emails 2. using synthetic hair passing off for real human hair 3. charging for expedited shipping with items not arriving on time. I lost a client because of putting synthetic hair on her head, and her having the worst experience ever! I refunded her the amount for the fake hair, and never was reimbursed by hairlocs. I was told, I would have to send her hair in for them to examine. I mean really?! Needless to say I will never use this company again. The bead method is great just not this particular company.

I can’t believe the horrible customer service I’ve had recently and as equally bad over the last 10+ years I’ve been using this company. Never call back or reply to emails. The hair is actually really great but the people behind it are rude and lazy in my opinion.

I have called about 60 times(no exaggeration) over the last two days. No one answers the phone. I did get someone once yesterday. She said she would check into my order($ 600 worth of hair) that was supposed to arrive 3 days ago and call me back. Nothing. My guess is this business is closing down and hasn’t had the nerve to tell it’s clients. I have been a hairlocs customer for 10 years. Very disappointed.
