I came here to do my color hair., cut my hair., and my hair is looks pretty much., I like it here! P’ mark ^_​^ you are very professional, very grateful to change the view of my hair to perfection.

He is brilliant and very detail oriented. A great haircut for a low price. I really recommend him, and plan on continuing to come back!

If Mark was the guy that passed me off to the other lady that ruined my hair, then this is just as much his fault. I told the lady exactly what I wanted and she nodded her head OK. The first thing she did was buzz my hair I wanted to keep! I realized shortly after, when I asked for a mirror, that she didn’t speak English and just nods OK to everything I say. This is obviously not what you want in a hair dresser. She messed up my hair so bad that I told her to buzz my entire head because I didn’t want to look like an idiot.

Mark is great… in his busy schedule he managed to give me an appointment on the same day and gave a great haircut to boot.

Mark is an artist with hair. He’s quick, personable, and does it all for a price that doesn’t break the bank. He also takes credit cards which is a relief since I hate to carry cash. I’ve had my hair cut there several times and every time come out feeling great about myself and the way my hair looks.

Really good cut. Very friendly. I don’t get too many hair cuts but this is definitely a place I’d want to come back to. I asked him for a trim and I got a trim. He paid attention to detail and his prices are very reasonable. Be sure to ask for mark.

MARK is AMAZING!!! I’ve always had a hard time finding a good stylist who can cut my very straight and odd hair. Mark styled my hair exactly to my liking… he really took the time and patience to evaluate my head shape and hair direction. As well as paid very good attention to detail on what I wanted. I really couldn’t describe very well what I wanted but I just basically told him I want a very clean look. He handled my needs perfectly. What I liked is the style of how he fades guys hair is very good compared to all others I’ve been to. He knows how to cut! I will refer all my friends to him. Most importantly he’s a very nice guy!

This place is a little hard to find, but definitely worth the effort to find. Mark is an extremely nice guy who really pampers you. For just 15 dollars, he cut, washed and styled my hair. He does take his time and keeps your sides and back very clean.

fact: asian hair is best understood by asian stylists. for sure LA has a truckload of great asian stylists, but they’re all pricey and crammed inside K-​Town. Mark is an exception to both: his prices are amazingly low, and he’s located in Hollywood!
for something like $ 20 I got my hair shampooed, layered, trimmed, and styled perfectly. his price for coloring and perms are also great, so I’ll be going back for that.

Mark is friendly, professional, and simply provides a great experience at a great price. The salon is easy to miss and the space is simple, but Mark is a true professional that made me feel comfortable while I watched him read my hair like a book and cut with a variety of techniques. He used multiple products on my hair and really took the time to give me a good cut that was designed to work with my thick, unruly mop. I have paid much more for far less and I plan on coming back.

I was hesitated at first to come and do my color with Mark. I saw him from a local Thai newspaper. I love to put different color on my hair so I decided to give it a go. The place is not fancy. It’s hiding in a small lot on Hollywood Blvd. He was very nice. He greeted me with a nice warm welcome smile. He listened about what my hair went thru and how he can colored it better. He was neat and attentive to every step of the way. He didnt take on any other customer while he was doing my hair on which he could have while he was waiting for my color to blend in.
He was super gentled when he washed my hair and my shirt was dried after the wash. I’ve been to places where they’ve washed my hair and it got wet (so unprofessional) I highly recommend this place to anyone for anything. He can do color, normal color to hot pink like mine! The color was even, so vibrant and my hair felt soft even after the bleach and color. He can styles your hair with a good judgment! Trust me, I went into his salon want something that I think would look ok on me. It was this really short bang and ear lenght all around. I came out looking better. He lets me know that of course he can make the hair cut but becuz my face is round and big it wouldnt suited me.
I always trust the hair stylist judgement. He seemed very sincere and I loved loved the outcome. He also do make up as well! I called this place a diamond in the rough. I always to to the the bar in the adjacent plaza and never realizes about this exist! Now that I found this spot, it will be my go to salon fron now. Btw, the price is very effordable. Good quality color and great hair cut at a good price!!! Thank you Mark… for making me look this goooooooodddd!

I am a procrastinator and a little spoiled so when Mark told me on Sunday that the first appointment he had was on Tuesday I was initially disinclined to wait but am I glad I did! Working in the Valley and living in Thai Town is not conducive to early or mid-​day appointments so I was very happy that Mark was willing to schedule an appointment with me at 6 p.m. I was a little shy at first as its always a little nerve-​wrecking trying someone new but Mark was welcoming and seemed happy to see me. He started by looking at my hair and asking me what I wanted and once he got the general idea he started to work. To say he shampooed my hair is an understatement — he gave a superb washing along with a relaxing scalp massage. I’ve never had gentler hands work on my hair and instantly I knew I could trust him. Once he started cutting my hair I was very please to see that he took great care to review every angle to make sure it was coming out even. Once the cut was complete he showed me how he had made slight alterations to my request and the results were phenomenal! Never in a million years could I have imagined how happy I would be with my cut. I am so happy that I followed my instinct (and the great advice of the two other Unilocalers) and waited for Mark. He is truly an artist who works wonders with hair.

Let’s be frank, I typically don’t Unilocal but when I do it’s not for something mediocre. When I found out my stylist of over a decade left town I was devastated. Since Mark took over his spot, I thought He couldn’t be half bad.
Soooooooooo glad I took the plunge. To test the waters I started with just a trim and color. To my surprise and delight my first experience was amazing. In the next months (and several visits) Mark gained my complete trust.
Last night, I let Mark chopped off about 12 inches of hair and redo my color. After about three hours I was totally transformed and has him to thank! If Unilocal had any more stars I’d give him more than five for sure!
Get on his client list now before it’s too late
Pros: listens to your needs, easy to talk to, METICULOUS, reasonably priced.
Cons: parking lot has funky ins/​out, salon looks a bit out dated (maybe thats why he is able to pass on the savings by not spending $$$ on flashy salon stuff?)

I’ve been keeping a secret; the reason why I did is because the last couple secrets I mentioned on Unilocal,everyone and their mothers went there, and it wasn’t a secret anymore. The secret is where I get my haircut.
Since I gave up on going to beauty schools on getting my haircut, a friend (who’s hair I always liked) recommended this place in Thai Town. Hesitate at first, I decided to take the leap of faith and try out this place. Mark greeted me with a friendly smile and asked what I wanted. Being extremely picky about who cuts my hair, I went with my safety, the usual Big Bang’s Taeyang signature hairstyle (and most Asian guys’ hair now-​a-​days) the fo-​hawk. After an hour of cutting off strands of hair, the fo-​hawk returned. However, it wasn’t the exact copy of Taeyang; Mark mentioned since my face is more round, he catered the hairstyle to work with my face, which is something a good amount of hairstylist I went to don’t do.
Soon after that, many people complimented on how my hair was pretty nice and some even asked where I got it done. Because of that one haircut, I kept going back to Mark, and decided to let him do whatever he thinks looks nice with my head plus whatever is on trend. So far, I had different lengths and styles of fo-​hawks, side swept/​part and the classic pineapple spiky hair, all which so many people have complimented on how good it looks.
Now my secret’s out. Mark is the reason why my hair always looks good. Don’t believe me and my hair? My profile picture right now? Mark chopped it an hour before I took this picture.

Mark is awesome. He’s super easy going and professional at the same time. He knows what the customer needs and definitely did a great job beautifying my hair. Highly recommended!
