Gus’s is likely THE best hamburger place that I’ve been to. I usually get their classic cheeseburger which includes french fries, Greek salad, and a drink. Their ingredients are very fresh, probably more fresh than In-n-out, and the burger is just divine when you bite into it. The french fries are decent, and the Greek salad adds an exotic element to your cheeseburger. The burger itself is juicy and tender. The patty tastes just like a grilled ground beef patty should, without any other seasonings needed. The pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce in the burger is very fresh, which stuck out in my mind because I never though those would make the burger, but now I realize you can’t have a good burger without good vegetable fillings. I live far from Gus’s, but I try to make the drive out from time to time so I can confirm that I did indeed have one of the best burgers in my life here. I am by no means a burger connoisseur, but if you’re in the area, definitely check out Gus’s for burger that will be worth the drive.

Soooo went there for breakfast today… Took longer than normal but it was delish… My stars are for the employees… Why do they sit there at the dining area when they are on break? Two men sat there drinking coffee, then a woman sat there doing her make up talking to her co worker about her face problems. Last time I went I saw the same thing. Two workers sitting talking and then the servers would stop to chat with them. Did they forget to build a break room?

I love this place!!! Whenever I want food and drive thru I am always here, since downtown doesn’t have any In N Outs. Gus is just amazing restaurant quality food and really good.

Good food, good prices. However, their customer service needs improvement. After ordering a tuna salad in the drive thru, I noticed that I was given a chicken salad instead. When I called the business to inform them of the error, one worker started to argue with me. She stated, «Everyone in the kitchen heard you say chicken.»(I know this was not the case because I was on the phone with a friend at the time. When she heard me say«tuna» over the intercom, she replied, «Eww…Tuna?») On a second occasion, I ordered a chicken salad through the drive thru. Upon arriving home, I noticed that my salad had no chicken. When I called back, they said, «Come back and we will fix it for you. We will charge you $ 2.18.»(Come on! You are going to charge me for a mistake you made? I had to drive back for YOUR error!)

I had the bbq bacon burger, and instead of a salad and fries I only got fries. It was about a 9 dollar burger with taxes add. The first impression I got was that it’s to packed, it might take a while for them to dish out the food, but it was the exact opposite their response time was fast less then ten minutes. The only thing I would fluat them on is that the cheese could of been more melted.

This place is ok. I’ve had a burger here and it was meh, but the french fries are really good. I recently went back to try the pastrami everyone raved about. But, I couldn’t enjoy it. The meat was too thick and fatty. The bread was good and fresh, so I ended up taking off the meat and eating the bread and pickles with the mustard on it. Hey, I was hungry. I had to eat something. lol It was big though, enough for 2, loaded with meat(and fat). I may give this place another try. It stays busy, so something must be really good. I think the prices definitely are for the amount of food you get. I always catch police or firemen here. Police and firemen always like good and cheap. Customer service has always been friendly and the drive-thru moves pretty good. That’s why it’s deserving of at least 3 stars.

This place is one of the best values in Los Angeles. I have been stopping in mostly for lunch, on/off for about five years. It is clean, the food is great, portions are large, service is fast even when it is busy, prices are about as good as it gets. The Greek Steak Salad is always good, Rib-Eye Sandwich, Panini, Pastrami, Burgers, French Toast. I’ve never been disappointed nor have the people I’ve brought with me. A nice mix of people. There is not a lot of indoor seating, so think twice about coming during the lunch rush when it is cold or rainy. The restroom situation is not great.

***** Sigh ***** I have been a customer for over 13 years now but I will no longer be going here. I ordered what I usually get, the Philly cheesesteak panini with fries and a drink. I ended up in the hospital from food poisoning. I hope to never experience that ever again. The doctors confirmed that it was indeed the bacteria in the sandwich I had eaten for lunch. It was terrible. I ended up vomiting for a very long duration and fainted. I couldn’t believe it but sadly the place I loved is no longer appetizing to me. I live right across the street and I literally get goosebumps every morning when I drive past it. Never again. Everyone told me to go complain because of my days missed at work but honestly it’s not like they can do anything about it. I just wanted to post this on here so that hopefully the managers and crew members see this. Please check your products and wash them properly. I would hate for somebody else to go through this. It’s horrible.

Great service and awesome food. Down side to use bathroom you must exit building. If that doesn’t bother you then no issues. The portions are nice for the price. Definitely will continue to come back.

I live about 12 miles away from Gus, but that doesn’t stop me from making the drive out here, because the food is simply too good! Although I would say I’m a huge Mexican food devotee, and this place doesn’t exactly serve the best Mexican food, the plates seem to be somewhat dry and the rice isn’t the best. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for Mexican food but with that being said everything else is mouth watering! The sandwiches, salads, wraps, and my favorite THEBURGERS, ugh. So delicious. I don’t wait more than 10 minutes on a busy day. But the seating does tend to get full at times. I don’t blame them, this place is amazing.

This place is just awesome. I ordered the chicken avocado fries, salad, and drink for under $ 9. Come on, where are you gonna get good food in LA for that price? You order at the register and they bring it out to your table-can’t beat it! I head that the place caught fire a few months ago so it’s a totally remodeled restaurant and very classy. I really enjoyed my lunch today and will have Gus’ as a go-to spot for the future. The menu selection is huge, they have ample seating inside and out, and they even have the drive-thru if you wanna grab something and go.

For a drive thru restaurant this place is excellent. I had the avocado turkey Panini combination which comes with a very nice green salad and a drink with french fries. What more could you ask for? How about their service? Their service is excellent. Servers bring the food to you rather than making everybody wait around near the counter which only congests the counter area. I’ve come by here twice now because I was in the area and they’re the best place around. Keep up the good work Gus!

Not the same Gus I remember. I’ve been coming down to this place since the 80’s when I used to live close by. It was the neighborhood’s local burger joint and everyone would come down here to eat and hang out. Sure there would be those annoying teachers that would go during lunch and ruin the vibe, but that was temporary. I even remember seeing the local firefighters line their trucks outside the restaurant in order to grab some food. Hanging out, eating chili cheese fries… Those were the days. But ever since they redid the restaurant and changed their menu, it no longer feels the same… It’s a shame. Even after I moved away from the neighborhood, I still found myself returning every once in a while. But the vibe just isn’t there anymore. I’m giving it 3 stars as the originality of the restaurant is completely gone and the food just doesn’t taste the same…

Best little quick drive through. Where else can you get a Rib eye for 8 bucks. It’s delicious. They substitute just about anything for no extra $. Absolutely love their salad’s. It truly is gourmet fast food. They’ve recently redecorated the place. Looks great, had a better flow. They got XM playing in the background. I have yet to have had a bad meal.

I used to work down the street from here and this was our go to place to order breakfast from. Food and customer service was always good. Well now they have remodeled the place for the better, same great customer service, and their pretty fancy too. Food served on real plates, they bring your order out to you, and they put purple onions on their burgers, impressive. The mushroom Swiss burger was excellent, and the fries are perfectly seasoned. Nice place to grab some lunch and they have an extensive menu to choose from.

The jalapeño cheeseburger hit the spot. The burger overall taste like quality ingredients so I was pretty happy about that. The fries were fresh hot and crispy. The salad could use a mixing before serving over the salad. All I got was a bunch of oil and no balsamic. I was disappointed in the avocado chicken panini. It didn’t have much flavor and the bread got soft quick. The burger and fries itself gets 4 stars. I will return to try the steak salad and fried chicken. I saw a lot of people ordering those dishes and burgers.

Newly renovated! Gives a much better atmosphere, new everything. Great menu selections, from fried chicken to Greek salad to carne asada steak plate. I’ve tried all and it’s delicious. A much better option than a lunch truck.

I said it before and I’m saying it again. You can always tell a good place by the amount of government and police vehicles outside. 7 cops today.
