My experience was with the los angeles location on the corner of Pomona and Atlantic. The women who we had initially signed up with was Liza. Initially, she seemed very compassionate showed us our options, had us sign all the paper work and promise to take care of us and iur mother who had passed. That was all a lie. After we handed her the payment in full she went missing!!! I had questions the days before about a slide show that i could have possibly played at my moms service did she respond to my texts… no. The thing that upset my sister and i the most was that she put the wrong name on all of my mother’s serive information i found that very disrespectful as well. I also texted her about that did i get a response… no. The day of my mom’s service was she present since she was rhe one handling the case… no Did she tell us she wasn’t going to be there… no. Although Artie i believe was her name and also a gentlemen did a nice job considering we had never ment them and they didnt even know who we were. Not their fault at all. The following week i went to pick up my mother’s ashes i spoke to Liza that day who said they weren’t ready i asked what day they would be she said a Tuesday for sure. I go back on Tuesday it’s her day off lickily Lorena was able to help me. Unfortunately she almost sent me off with somebody else’s loved one. I felt like the whole thing was a total slap in the face to my family n most importantly my mom. I will definitely tell ppl i know not to come here if they want to honor their loved n not make their servuce into a joke.

I went to this Guerra & Gutierrez location today to pay my respect’s to one of my aunt’s that recently passed away. The place has an intimate vibe and appeared to be well kempt. The staff had a good demeanor. The parking lot accommodated multiple cars(though we did have to park back-to-back). What I liked most about the place is that my family was able to set up three photo collages on easel stands in the chapel, as well as play a video slideshow of my aunt on a flatscreen t.v. in the chapel. I also like that hand-picked songs by my family could be played in the chapel. Another thing I liked was the kitchen where you could have snacks and drinks.

My father in law recently passed away and I have to say that Liza really went out of her way to make sure everything was in order. We happened to come across this mortuary after a bad experience with one in Lincoln Heights. I’m glad we chose this one. Each staff member I dealt with was courteous and considerate. The facility is nice. The chapel is spacious and the kitchen area is a nice size. All in all, dealing with a death is painful but Liza made making the arrangements very comforting and easy. I would highly recommend Guerra & Gutierrez.

The employees were all very friendly and respectful and the building was quite nice and welcoming. However, the place could us a bit of a touch up. Especially with the pews in the viewing area that aren’t secured to the ground.
