I’m so bummed to hear of Grind House closing — a true unpretentious neighborhood coffeeshop without the frills. The baked goods and coffee were always fresh and inexpensive, the outdoor seating quiet, and the man who normally worked behind the counter? He was absolutely wonderful. Hopefully they are only closing for renovations!

Was pretty standard, prob could get something comparable at McDonald’s for a buck. Definitely try another coffee house in Weho

Lovely local spot! Basic selection of coffee, tea and smoothies, plus some breakfast/snack options. The staff is always nice and efficient, and they usually have different pieces of art in rotation on the walls. It’s a small, low key café with seating inside and out on the sidewalk. A great place to post up with your laptop and fire off emails or write while getting your daily caffeine fix.

Between the wrong orders that had to be remade and the ridiculous attempts at sandwiches, this was a pretty bad experience. I ordered the $ 5.75 «cheese dream» sandwich at it was thinner than a single slice of bread. When I got it the peices were stacked on each other and I thought someone had eaten half of my order. Keep in mind the«cheese dream» is a grilled cheese with MORE cheese! I don’t think it would be physically possible to put less food in this order, so the original sandwich remains a mystery. This place is somehow related to «Rock Paper Coffee» on Sunset, which is similar but vastly better. I’ll stick with Rock Paper.

The store is pretty dilapidated, they could use some major upgrades to the furniture/walls/ceilings. It was quiet when I went in, I ordered my drink and the guy behind the counter made me feel like I was being a nuisance by buying a coffee there. I asked for a medium, was charged for and received a large. The coffee(a Spanish latte) was really not very good. Disappointed.

My suggestion to all coffee and cappuccino drinkers. This is a great place to relax an sip your coffee from. I love the white choc they melt in the coffee. Its great

Admittedly I am a harsh coffee critic as I’m from Portland and spoiled. The coffee here isn’t amazing, no bells or whistles but it is independent and one of the few coffee shops in the area. We walked for blocks until we found this one so it gets points for being here lol. I’m used to having one every 10 feet. In Portland the interior of this place would have sceeved me out and I would have assumed brown water crap coffee but it wasn’t bad. My partner ordered an iced americano but got an iced espresso instead but it was fine so whatever. If you need a buzz in WeHo I guess this is what passes for good coffee so for where it is, it’s good.

Well, apparently they now have non fat milk and all is right with the world. And it looks like the loser who provided me the horrible customer service last time, is gone. At least he wasn’t there today. So that’s good. Just wish they had a better selection of baked good like they used to. But the coffee is still great.

Great coffee. But don’t come if you’re in any hurry. One person on staff at peak hours means long wait in line. Smellin the roses isn’t a bad thing tho I guess

Stopped in to have a latte and do a little internet browsing. It is a shame there is nothing special to say about this coffee house, other than the friendly Barista behind the counter. It’s has an extremely«blah» feeling about it. It could be SOMUCHMORE with a simple(inexpensive) makeover and menu pop. The grungy décor teeters on a dirty feel. I see the amazing potential of this coffee house and hope the«powers at be» will give it the attention it deserves.

Grindhouse is a small café tucked off of the notoriously busy stretch of SMB through West Hollywood. The coffee is good and the staff works furiously to keep the line moving swiftly! Easy parking: Early mornings are fine, afternoons are a lot trickier to snag a meter. Large drink under $ 5: Yes Friendly staff: Yes Indoor seating: A couple cramped tables. Outdoor seating: Plenty of chairs and small tables line the sidewalk. Décor: Not much, large mirrors help open the space up. People with laptops: Not really Hipsters: No Famous Faces: No Foam Art: No People watching: Decent In & out quick: Yes The challenge continues!

Coffee was gross and the outdoor seating is just on the sidewalk where you almost get hit by parallel parking cars.

I like mom and pop places and this was right around the corner from his place. The guy at the counter was so sweet and talkative. Complimented my glasses and just made conversation :) I had the organic Guatemala roast and carrot cake. It was yummy. Be back for sure!

Decent little café in Wes Hollywood. I came here for a peppermint tea on a kind of date(think it was a date hahaaa) and it was nice to sit outside in the sunshine.

Grindhouse is almost hidden away, around the corner from Marcos it could be easy to miss for someone not local to this neighborhood. Because of this, the place is never too crowded and there isn’t ever a huge line. The staff is nice and helpful. I’m not a coffee drinker so I can’t speak towards that but it’s a nice place to hang out, and has outdoor seating. Also: they have a painting of Steve Jobs on the wall, sitting with one of the first Macintosh computers. This place gets an extra star just for that.

Cute little coffee house hidden on a side street off Santa Monica Blvd… nice place to get a really good cup of coffee, a muffin and some computer time. Found easy parking right across the street. The location on Sunset is larger and has a bigger selection, but this is a hidden gem if you need to spend an hour or more getting some work done. Friendly staff. Good dog watching! Tables outside and inside.

Great little spot right off Santa Monica, spacious outdoor seating area and surprisingly not a lot of noise from the traffic. Coffee selection is great and all organic, nice little breakfast menu as well.

I was back at Grindhouse café this afternoon because friends wanted to meet there. I bought my coffee and was sitting in the outdoor space, the owner was walking in and my friend called to his attention a very dangerous protruding metal bar sticking out from a broken umbrella. The owner noticed me and said you wrote a bad review on Unilocal about the coffee shop he said«You need to leave,…get the F#@% out of here» I said OK but i want a refund for my coffee then. he said NO just get out. He caused a huge seen in front of all of his customers. Extremely unprofessional!!! I said i should get a refund if i wasn’t allowed to stay. I got it. All this being said there has been no improvements from my original Review other then a new Health code sign without a Fly Smashed on it, and the bad barista girl had been fired. He said i need to take down my review !! But nothing has changed there except for a lower rating due to an unprofessional uncaring petty business owner !

I love going here, they have a great selection of pastries and flavored brewed coffee. Their staff is really nice too! I was here once before when it was still called Café Marco, and it’s only moved upwards from there! It’s a nice place to chill out and just enjoy a nice afternoon in WeHo. Definitely one of the places I recommend to friends when they are in that area. Keep it up!

I don’t know what kind of magical beans they traded for their half and half but it’s the creamiest, dreamiest half and half in all of West Hollywood, nay Los Angeles! In addition to the liquid crack, I love their cinnamon scones, 2 for $ 5 breakfast sandwiches(English muffin, turkey sausage, egg whites and cheese), free wifi, friendly staff and overall café vibe. I don’t live down the street any longer but I am happy to still feel at home here.
