The food is kinda weak here. Im a make this brief: — Salmon is nasty. No flavor. — Mandoo is bomb. — Rice needs siracha — beef is chewy jerky — Chicken is gross. also rubbery/chewy. — get kudos for having aycd(all u can drink) sodiees. — expensive for portions, poor value Service was ok. Nothing special. It’s in the food court on fig@wilshire.

What happened to Waba Grill? It’s not Waba anymore but the menu is the same as Waba’s menu. Odered half & half bowl. Half & half bowl($ 5.50): half beef and half chicken. The chicken was better than the beef for sure. Bottled water($ 1.15): she forgot to give it to me and I had to ask for it. 10% student and military discounts. 3 stars! It’s super cheap and the portion is big. Grilled Restaurant is almost yummylicious!

Good for lunchtime rush downtown. Their menu is simple and fast(think yoshinoya, but better tasting) and standard for any Asian chicken/steak rice topping joint. Lots of peppers, sriracha, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce on the side for you to take — they even have containers for you to take on the go — which admittedly may have been my favorite part.

Cheap, quick, easy. This place is a very decent everyday choice in DTLA for a rice bowl that gives good portion for low cost at a quick turnaround, while serving a fairly healthy choice. Great for a group: Food Court so everyone has their choice of sandwiches, Japanese sushi/grill, vegetarian friendly grill, convenience stand with snacks and Lotto tickets or rice bowl at Grilled. Tables are easily moved to accommodate any size group with extra space available upstairs. Takes cards. Free Refills on Pepsi. Free bathroom token. Bowl of chicken($ 5 special) or Steak(~&7) is actually a half size take out box. Seems larger than Flame broiler bowl. Comes with lots of rice and green onions. Plate is full size box, but same size portion as the bowl, adding veggies and salad for a few bucks – not a good deal. The deal is to add meat for $ 2.50 get a side of the other choice. For example, order the chicken bowl and side of steak. Sides include pickled jalapenos, soy sauce, Rooster Sriracha sauce, teriyaki. It is not super special, gourmet, full service or mind blowing, but I am happy to return.

Oof. This place was not very good. It is a teriyaki place that caters to the downtown lunch crowd. I had a basic chicken teriyaki and a good portion of it was charred and the rest of it was without much flavor. The vegetables that it came with were very bland. There are other places to go in the area, and even in the same complex this place is located in.

I’ve tried their chicken bowl($ 5) and the steak plate($ 8). And while the food is pretty solid, neither stood out to me very much. The flavors were decent but for $ 8 I expected either more meat to rice ratio. The plate includes a side salad and orange slices. The plate is fairly filling but Noda Sushi gives your better value for the same $ 8. And Essan Thai has much more interesting and healthier options for the same price.

am i the only one that thinks the meat here tastes a little like a mexican/korean bbq blend? but in a good way! both the chicken and steak bowls are good choices. i especially enjoy the charr on the outside of the chicken. price is really reasonable at $ 5 – 6 for the bowl and $ 7 – 8 for the combo plate.

I was looking around for places to eat. The entrance is so discrete, I thought it was just the entrance for a liquor store. I ordered the bowl, from my experience bowl portions are tiny, so I added extra meat. It was the most piled on portion of meat I’ve ever had. The steak had a smoky flavor, and chicken was nice and moist. Only problem is after you eat your fool and see all you oil, you realize it probably wasn’t too healthy for you. I’d only wish the teriyaki sauce was a Lil bit more flavorful.

I like coming here to get a cheap, easy, and quick bite for lunch. They specialize in offering a number of teriyaki meat & rice combo plates and bowls. Today I ordered the half & half bowl to go. Service was quick, maybe a 3 – 4 minute wait at max. For $ 6.35, you get a huge order of grilled chicken, marinated beef, & green onions which are served over about an inch thick layer of white rice. The onions(optional) are tasteless, although the beef has a juicy marinated flavor, even without taking into consideration the teriyaki sauce. The chicken is a bit charred on the outside, though tender on the inside. The meats aren’t greasy like a lot of other rice bowls I’ve had in the past — they grill the chicken and beef on the premise. Finishing off the bowl was almost a challenge — let it be said that you get a pretty decent bang for you buck. This is a good spot to hit up for lunch M-F, though I do not believe it’s open on the weekend, since the entire building that houses it and some other eateries are closed Saturday & Sunday.

This place has an interesting theme as a mixture of asian/mexican for its menu. The asian reference is that quite a few dishes have rice as an item and the mexican portion if you want your typical tacos and burritos. The price is comparable to other downtown fast food eateries except that the portions are pretty large mainly alot of rice with the plate dishes. In my opinion if you like large lunches and small dinners this probably would be a good deal. Figure to spend around 6 – 7 dollars without a drink.

Great place to visit for a quick lunch. The people are always friendly and the food is tasty. Would recommend it to anyone in the area. Other reviewers say that the Noda restaurant(right next door) is better but, I would disagree. Noda is slightly cheaper and the quality of the food isn’t something to brag about. The last review recommended the burrito bowl — I totally agree! *thumbs up*

Nice spot for lunch in Downtown L. A…Quickly became hooked the first time I ate here. My friends and I eat lunch here frequently, and so far everything i’ve tried on the menu has been very satisfying. I highly recommend the burrito bowl with either chicken or steak. Pricing is reasonable and the owners and staff are hella cool and friendly. Regarding the other review advising to go next door to Noda Sushi… i’ve been there too. Not at all impressed. Good food, reasonable pricing, and great customer service… Grilled doesn’t disappoint.

I work in downtown and am a fitness freak. Their chicken veggie bowls w/brown rice are the best in town! Cheap and delicious. Hidden gems in small food court. Staff is very friendly as well!
