I had the #2 Beef Teriyaki plate and can drink here and it came out to $ 13.18 which is quite high. At that price point I expected some really good beef teriyaki, but was highly disjointed when the place came out. The salad was only made of chopped iceberg lettuce and lots of thousand inland dressing. The beef was way too salty and had no other flavors. Being really hungry, I ate all the lettuce and only had a couple bites of the beef before I, still hungry, walked out. There are plenty of other good places around this one — avoid this one.

This is a ‘lil hole in the wall burger joint in the Harvard Heights area. It is a mom and pop establishment run br s Korean couple. The husband is super friendly. He acts genuinely happy to be of service to his patrons. I observed a young woman ordering french fries; Mr korean owner was asking the young lady how her family was doing… that kind of personal service is such a lost art. The burger was average. The french fries were undercooked. The place was clean(‘A’ rating from health dept). Some mexican as well as Korean food on the menu.

It pains me dearly to write this review. I love hole in the wall places, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to give up on Teriyaki Burger(the Greek Tommy’s part of the sign is severely faded). I’ve been twice and been disappointed by both the Teriyaki and the Burgers. The Burger was just awful. Burnt flavor cooked on a too-hot grill, with a stale bun. The teriyaki was just OK and nothing memorable(teriyaki is not my favorite thing, but the owner/cook recommended it on my first visit.) Unfortunately, between my two visits, the owner decided to drastically increase the prices of everything on the menu. It saddens me, but this can only spell disaster for this little spot with so much potential. With mediocre food, low prices are the only thing that can keep a place like this afloat in Arlington Heights. A simple burger combo is now $ 9. Yes, that’s what I pay for a burger combo at a sit down restaurant in Old Town Pasadena(Jake’s). I do hope the owner sells this place and they turn it into a tofu soup place or something. Pass this place by and check out Capital Burger for the dive of all dives just two blocks down the street.

was hungry. was close. was the teriyaki combo plate, decent but small. Not worth the $ 8 imo but I probably should have gone for the burger or burrito anyway. i may come back in the future.

Can’t decide between breakfast, burgers, or teriyaki? Then this place is perfect for you, as you have all three at your choosing. Very casual, hole-in wall atmosphere. There’s not a whole lot of room for sitting but I’ve never seen it crowded enough for someone not able to sit down. I came here with my roommate and we were served by this sweet feisty middle-aged woman. I got the beef teriyaki burger combo. The burgs run from 3 – 4 bucks and additional 2 dollars for combo(fries and drink). The burger was juicy and sweet, with just the right amount of topping and condiments. The fries here are excellent. They are slender but not too skinny and fried to the perfect crisp. I’m a crunchy fry guy, and this place has some of the best I’ve had in LA. It did take a little bit for our food but I will forgive that because she was the only person working and had to cook our food. I didn’t mind the wait because it was DELICIOUS! All in all this place is a great neighborhood spot for a nice, decently cheap meal.

I’ve passed by this place a few times and wondered how it was but at the time they had a B so I waiting hoping they could get an A, so the other day I noticed that they actually had worked up to an A. I went in and ordered a few different things to try out their taste. We tried a cheeseburger which was pretty good and their teriyaki chicken which actually had more flavor than I had expected. Interestingly when you consider it was with teryaki we were also asked if we wanted kimchi sides with it(which was pretty good). Unluckily I didn’t get to try their burrito since they had ran out of tortillas but it was pretty late. The lady taking our order was pretty cheerful considering we were there fairly late and they open around 7 am, which I found pretty cool since I know who I was with could get pretty confusing. All in all a nice place to stop by when you want eat in a hurry

this place is a greasy cheap hole-in-the-wall but enter at your own risk. because of the low prices, the clientele tends to the sketchy side. when i first went in, everyone turned to stare at me a la newcomer in western saloon. but unlike the heroes in those movies, i hightailed it out of there. a couple of days later when i grew myself a new pair of cajones, i ventured in and ordered a «2 eggs, bacon and hashbrown» for $ 2.95. of course, i had to be difficult and asked for it sandwich style. to my surprise and utter delight, they put EVERYTHING — inc the hasbrowns — inbetween the toast. it was GREAT! to top it off, they had squeeze bottles of siracha ready at hand. i let it loose all over by bfast wich, much to the counter ladie’s amusement. their specialty seems to be the burgers and teriyaki. havent tried it yet, will update when i feel like dabbling in some danger.
