Hours posted on Unilocal and store front say open at 6am nearly everyday. I walk in at 6:30am and they said they aren’t open until 7am.

Was in the neighborhood and needed a quick lunch. There is parking in the lot up front, but the spots are tight. I was craving some Palabok or Pancit, BUT when I stepped up to the food on display, there was none. WAH! Fine. I settled on some fried fish(bangus) & rice. With my plate, they gave me soup, too(sinigang). Also, when I attempted to order a soda, their machine was broken, so I settled on bottle water. My food? The sinigang was hot and just the right sour & savoury. My fish wasn’t hot, but it wasn’t cold either. It was fried well, so I was happy.(Note: I find it difficult to eat my fried fish & rice w/plastic spoon and fork; I prefer metal utensils to pull the fish apart.) However, my partner struggled. He just ordered the shanghai lumpia &BBQ chicken. He said both were cold & the chicken was very fatty. I left satiated, but I can’t say the same for my partner. I imagine their catering is better.

Came here on a Friday to buy some vegetable lumpia, since it’s still Lent and I can’t eat meat. It was around noon, and it was really busy. They had a variety of dishes that had no meat, like pusit, chop suey, tofu and green beans, etc. I asked if they had any veggie lumpia since I did not see any as I was standing in line, and thank goodness they did, because I was really craving them. I bought three of them, and he said that they were $ 1.50 a piece, which is expensive, but hence my craving, I bought them. They had to go containers at the beginning of the line which held the suka, lechon sauce, etc so you can bring some home. As I got to work to devour my egg rolls, I was disappointed that they were cold… not even warm which I would have been fine with, but cold and soggy. I still ate them because I hadn’t brought lunch, and they were still good, but I really wish that they were hot or even warm. Hopefully the next time I go, they’ll be fresh.

Been here dozens of times before, I went with my wife every time she miss Filipino delicacies, she a Filipina by the way, so I give her a time to spent and enjoy Filipino food, I’m not really a fan but now I’m already used to its taste so sometime I also missed this kind of food which was very different from what I really used to have. Easy and convenient place since it’s a buffet style place. There are multiple option to pick with, like lumpia, eggplant torta which is best for breakfast, pork adobo, pansit, corned beef and egg, and a lot more. Not a good place for me maybe but best place to everyone who wants to try or enjoy real Filipino dishes.

I’ve never had Filipino cuisine and since my Filipina friend was in town she insisted we go here. The chicken and pork adobo was amazing as well as the lumpia with the special sauce. She is a big fan of cassava cake which was delicious with the layer of flan on top. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back!

This place was like eating at home, the rice was not premium. And the water tastes funny like tap. We were exploring that’s why we came here. The eggplant was pretty good but my peeps said the corned beef was too greasy and watery. The customer service was great and the prices were high, it was 5 $ a plate. But we agree we are full.

My rating is 3 ½ stars. Pros: Plenty of food for the price point(I got 2 vegetable dishes with rice for under $ 9). Parking lot(1hr)!!! Food is decent and already prepared(buffet style) so you get your food right away if you’re starving. Slight Con: Food was warm, not hot, and the breakfast option I grabbed the other day was cold and had to be reheated once I got home(I live 5 min away). There are no vegetarian dishes, and don’t even think about vegan options. A vegetable dish means there are vegetables in the meat dish. Which is a bummer since I’m vegetarian, but was craving Filipino food so I just took the meat out of my dish. Not really the place I would take friends who want to try out Filipino food. But definitely a good place to go when you’re strapped for cash, in a rush, or craving cheap Filipino food.

We were craving Filipino breakfast after work, so by word of mouth we heard Good-Ha was good, ha?! Very friendly service, large portions and homestyle comfort food. It’s one of those point point kind of places, no fancy frills or anything. I got rice, torta(eggplant in egg), corned beef, and tocino(sweet meat). Definitely hit the spot, was exactly what I was craving, and friendly on the wallet.

I’ve come here many times before but this is the first time I decided to write a review for these mamas and papas who work this piece of the Philippines in frufrushishi Koreatown. I love how simple and humble the food and the vibe here is. It’s like coming home. Had the pares and palabok and they were SOOOGOOD ha! Sorry I have no pictures to share. I ate it already.

First time here. Went based off recommendations from gentleman serving my meal and did not regret a single bite. He was very patient with me and made suggestions based on my spice tolerance level. Large portions — saved other half for my lunch tomorrow. Devoured half the grilled chicken, white rice, and pork(which was juicy and mild in terms of spice and the sauce tasted like it was peanut based — delicious!) Also got lumpias — very tasty. Had to share those with co-workers who were also VERY happy. Coming back next week and bringing a co-worker! 10−7−15 Came back because I was in the mood for it big time. Come to find out that they don’t serve the same thing everyday. DIDNOTMATTER. Currently eating pork adobo, pancit, and steamed rice. The pork adobo is nice and hot and the pancit tastes great. Sadly for co-worker, I’m not sharing today! Can’t wait to see what they have next time. By the way, the samples are great! I’m always happy to try a dish before I commit to it. Greatly appreciated.

I’ve been here a few times and they always have ready to serve and a big variety of different dishes you can choose from. Most of the dishes are bold flavors which I do like because it goes great with the white rice. I enjoy the lumpia(fried egg roll) and the crispy pork they serve here with white rice or pancit. And I always grab a couple of turons(banana eggrolls) for dessert; they are sweet and crispy, especially when they are still fresh. Today, I came in not knowing what I wanted and they were very friendly and nice enough to let me sample a few items and they even threw in a small soup for me to try which was pretty good with the meal. I have yet to venture out and try some of the things that do not look familiar to me but one of these days I will try and see.

Once you walk in you’ll see nice decorations that totally feel like the Philippines. Their food is amazing and you’ll be coming back again and again! My favorite is the pork binagoongan(pork with shrimp paste and coconut milk) and beef kaldereta(beef stew). They have turon which is like a deep fried banana with jackfruit, and is something that should be definitely tried for dessert. They also have drinks like sago’t gulaman, calamansi juice, melon, etc. And they’re prices are very reasonable, not too pricey which is very good.(:

So super friendly and very proud of their food… and they should be! This cuisine is phenomenal, the staff is family and delightful and the drinks and treats are so good! Everything is home-made quality and decorated just like your philipino grandmothers living room(a huge part of the appeal). If you don’t know what drink to get skip the soda and ask for the Sago Gulaman, you can thank me with a compliment!

There are a handful of Filipino food establishments in the LA/Echo Park area, but you won’t find too many in the heart of K-town. Good-Ha Express fulfills my guilty pleasure of Filipino breakfast with the rice(I choose plain not garlic) fresh fried egg and longanisa or tocino. My friend and I have visited this establishment several times and continue to visit despite having a local Filipino express restaurant virtually across the street from our headquarters. The service staff are always friendly and food is served hot; something you don’t often find from a Filipino food establishment. I’ve also had pancit and Eggrolls catered from here. My colleagues and family are usually thrilled and satisfied with the catering. My Mother is a huge critic when it comes to Filipino cooking. She didn’t criticize today’s pancit catering and the 100 piece Eggrolls that I ordered were all gone after an hour. Thanks, Good-Ha Express for cooking with love!

This place rocks! The food is sooooo good and the people are so friendly. I walked in and said, «This is my first time here.» Marjorie asks, «Do you like Filipino food?» I said, «of course, I’m Filipino!» She replied, «oh, so you’re Flip!» Her response sold me on this place. I got the combo plate to go. You could choose pancit(noodles) or rice, or half/half. I chose pancit because I already had rice that I made at home. For my 2 sides, I got the pork adobo and the beef caldereta. Omg… delicious! Fatty goodness! They had a bunch of Shanghai lumpia but I decided to try that out next time. They also have desserts. I might try their breakfasts too. Oh so many options! They’re within walking distance from the Wilshire/Vermont metro station, which makes it extra easy to get there.

I’m upping my previous review from 3 to 4 stars. On my third visit, I finally met Angel, the owner, in person. She’s very sweet, and eager to offer samples to customers who haven’t been before. She even offered me samples, despite having told her I’ve been a couple times! Food is still very good! This time I reordered the Taro Leaves(in coconut milk sauce, not curry as I stated in previous review) and tried the Lechon Kawali and BBQ Pork Belly. Both are quite good! I also ordered the Beef Shank. I liked that it came with a side container of sauce, but I think that was because I got the last piece of it! As I said, Angel is very sweet. Overall, this is among the top turo turos I’ve been to, and I encourage anyone to try it out!

Good Ha Express is super fast, casual, rich, and delicious. I’ll use my boss’ description of it: «scoopy scoop food.» This is definitely a place you visit to indulge and possibly take a nap afterwards. Angel, who I think is the owner, walked up to our table and joyfully welcomed us to the restaurant, as she noticed we weren’t regulars. This gave me a legit«mom and pop» impression of the place. As a newbie to Filipino food, I had no idea what to order and what to expect in terms of taste. They had a variety of menu items on display, and the server gladly described each item to me and gave me his recommendations. I ended up getting the noodles and pork adobo, and they were both very flavorful and delicious. The pork adobo was fatty, tender, rich, and magical. I’ll definitely be back!

I was driving up 6th street and saw this awesome restaurant. I remember the name from another location(not affiliated with this one). The food was way better and the customer service was excellent. They had all my favorite foods and desserts. Please go by and tell Angel, I sent you.
