I wish I could write a separate review for the pizza. The Indian food I had was actually pretty good, better than I expected from an «express» style Indian place. I ordered a pizza since it was only $ 5, which I was only able to eat a slice or two. If I only had five bucks, and someone made me get a pizza, I’d choose Little Caesars personally, but thats me.

Pizza taste like 711 pizza. Quality is terrible. No wonder it’s only 5 dollars. Would not buy again. Outside advertisement is incorrect. It states«Giant slice of pizza for $ 1.99» but when you buy a slice, the pizza size is pretty small.. Imagine Costco pizza but 1⁄3 less or even smaller on some slices. Not worth the money. Your better off buying little Caesars!

Indian Grill is conveniently located a block from my house. I have ate here(to go only) a few times. The food is fair here, sometime you get something ok and then other times is really good. I try, an usually do, to stick to their tandoori chicken with a side of rice and lentils. I don’t eat in because unfortunately it gets super hot inside the establishment and they don’t have AC I think because they simply leave the door open to let air in. Also, I’ve ate at many other Indian food locations and more upscale versions and the food isn’t really on the pricey side. Here however some items do seem overpriced. For example, one large side of lentils is $ 13 which is sky high for lentils and the size. This is the one thing, prices, that really keep me away from eating here more often. Either way the place is convenient and staff usually friendly. Finally, if you ever call in an order and they say 15 minutes, add 10 – 15 minutes to what they tell you. They always take longer than what they say but to their credit I think its because they make a lot of the items from scratch.

Leaving the Mint one evening and looking for something different to eat, spied this place about a quarter of a block to the East. A combination pizza joint and Indian food. So being your intrepid reviewer I got a slice of Pizza, some goat curry and rice. The price was very inexpensive, but honestly skip the pizza and go to 7 – 11 or little Ceasar’s, much better. but the curry and rice were adequate. Very flavorful, large portions. I spent a bit of time talking with the cook who proudly told me he cooks everything fresh(great to know) each day and takes the leftovers to his family each night. The food did taste fresh(thank God). Prices reasonable and it did satiate my hunger. but dont go out of your way to visit

Girl behind counter is definitely arrogant and rude. She will stare at you to make sure you don’t sprinkle too much of their garlic powder on your disgusting pizza. They hide the Parmesan cheese sometimes and say they don’t have it when you can see it in the back. Their menu says they deliver but every single time I called they don’t. Have yet to try the indian food.

A mix of hunger and boredom led me to go against my good intuition and try out this questionable eating establishment. It had been a while since I’d had a good curry and I had some time to go before my clothes finishing washing at the laundromat so I gave the place a whirl. I walked in and I was almost astonished to find that the ad claims were true — this place actually serves pizza at the same time as it does curry. Now, I wasn’t brave enough to try the pizza but the curry I was. The long and short of it is that I ordered two different curries and some naan and I threw it all away after taking just a few bites. Tikka masala tasted worse than the frozen brand you buy at Trader Joe’s and the vindallo was one of the saddest I’ve ever tasted. Like an overcooked, bland jalfreeze from hell. No idea how this place stays open!

Seriously one of the best Indian restaurants in all of LA! There’s a Nepali cook from Kathmandu who really knows how to cook! Hope you all enjoy.

I just called them to ask if they delivery, they said: -«no, only pickup». –Ok, would you have the menu online somewhere that I can check to order upfront? -«Yes, ; –This website is not working as your business website, its directing to a business plan website. — «Come get whatever you want, we have everything here» — I don’t know what I want. SHEHUNGUPONME!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

This Place is Great! It’s cozy, clean, staff is friendly, and most importantly the food is so tasty!!! My favorite is the Paneer Tikka Masala. The food is fresh, and the prices are really good. And they have amazing pizza too. I recommend this cute little place to everyone!

got another carry-out order the other night for dinner: regarding the indian food, again calling ahead does nothing … just head on over and pick what you want … the issue here is that if the asian chef is not working, the food is not/will not be made to order … they won’t even respect their own menu and will only serve what they have in their 8-or-so warming trays … you want saag paneer that’s on the menu but not already in a warming tray? nope … they’ll push their mixed vegetable curry … you want garlic naan? nope … old hard plain naan for you … of the 6 items i wanted, they had none … even the lamb curry i wanted was scooped from the warming tray marked goat curry …(they’re supposedly not the same since they are two different line items on the menu) we’re going to have to take a long break from golden indian … at least whenever the asian chef is not working …

I had a slice of the curry chicken pizza, a slice of the chicken masala pizza, the veggie samosas, and a mango lassi. I was a little nervous at first because this place is in the corner of a grungy collection of shops/restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was good enough to come back for the rest of the Indian food. The samosas however were not too great– greasy, not very crispy, and the filling didn’t have any distinguishable vegetables. The mango lassi wasn’t the best I’ve had, and probably wasn’t made with fresh mangos, but for $ 2.50, it was just fine. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat at this place but since it’s cheap, tasty, and conveniently 2 blocks from my apt, I’ll be back.

My friend had recommended this place for lunch but I ended up going here for dinner. I was hesitant to try out a place that sells indian food and new york pizza but i decided to give it a try. Their chicken tikka masala is so good. The sauce was very sweet but i still liked it. I’ll definitely be going here again soon.

Delicious, fast-to-go style, authentic Indian! If they don’t have what you want, they will make it for you, but you’ll have to wait. Everything is fresh, aromatic and the prices are awesome! You’ll crave Indian for a while after eating here. I don’t recommend the pizza. Skip it!

So, Pizza and Indian food? My brain had a little dificulty processing this one, but I tried it anyway. I loved it! The food was very good and didn’t upset my stomach.(Come on. We all know when we try a little divey spot in the hood in a strip mall thats the FIRST thing you are concerned about.) I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and Rice. The rice was cooked perfectly and the masala was flavorful. I want to go back with an adventurous friend and try other menu options.

I was in a catered event which was done in Irvine and food served by the Indian Grill. The event was for support of Asian families organised by a group called Sahara. The word means support. First they had a large number of Indian models all dressed by in exotic clothes and then came the food which was mainly vegetarian but had the lamb steaks which were awesome. Heard of lot of stories of troubled families and how they were helped by Sahara. For fund raising there was a silent auction.

Hubby and I come here quite frequently, and the lady behind the counter always remembers us. Very sweet lady and cook! Indian food here is authentic and we love the chicken tikka masala. The naan is big and I believe they charge $.50 for garlic The $ 5 pizza is also pretty good. They always remember we like half cheese and half pepperoni.

some of l.a.‘s finest closeted art pieces can be found adorning the walls of this combination indian cuisine /pizza grill. upon entering, you will find a large print mural toward the rear of the seating area. its subject matter: a digitally doctored photo collage of an american family partaking of foods sold in this establishment — a young girl masticates part of a watermelon while her assumed mother holds an indiscernible food item close to her mouth. an older man adjacent to her peers into the camera lens with pizza laden hands. this scene is juxtaposed in front of a combination pizza which horizontally bifurcates the entirety of the composition. the wall opposite this piece displays two elephants symmetrically flanking a map of the continental united states.
