The World’s Smallest Tea Room! But don’t let that fool you; there’s an amazing love and appreciation of Tea here. Exported directly from China, the owners here have a unique set-up. A Kung Fu school inhabits much of their space(on the second floor of a corner mini mall off Santa Monica Blvd). But then, there’s a nook where there are many, many hand-picked teas. And these aren’t stuffed in a bag to steep. You may either buy to go – or sit for a spell and enjoy it in right there. No, it’s not a place you would hang out too terribly long — there’s just not room. Still, Elayna(one half of the couple) will be very happy to give you insight into the various teas. And very hospitable, too. Check out the many Green, and Oolong and other varieties. The two options are a Tasting($ 10), which is a large pot; or a smaller tasting($ 5). The leaves come in different forms — depending on which you get. I opted for an Oolong Gingeng, and my leaves looked at first like pellets. But, after they steep awhile, they open up – and the flavor comes out. Elayna claims you can refill many times — they’re that powerful. Served with little sugary nibs that you dip into your tea. I will definitely return and try some more. Park in the lot, or on the street.
