Ok after bringing the figurine to an antique appraiser it seems the white line may be part of the stone. I wish that Goldberg’s had explained this better when I pointed it out. Communication is key although English is definitely not their first language. I’m upgrading to 4 stars as the repair is good albeit pricey.

these people are amazing. they fixed a French candlestick holder circa 1870-ish, gold gilt bronze arm as if it had never been bent. i was in awe. also, i got a chance to peek around their studio and found the work that they do to be some of the most curious and unusual i have ever seen. i plan to be back with another glass piece to fix — as i saw they can even recreate glass! wow. job was about $ 250. which seems reasonable for a family heirloom.

DONOTGOHERE! If you value your treasures, keep it away from this place! These guys are RUDE, OVERPRICED and worse of all BROKE my antique vase!!! I took in a rare antique vase for polishing/cleaning. They charged me almost $ 200, but I figure it was worth it since I didn’t feel comfortable shipping it cross country to a more reputable restorer. It took over 3 weeks not«a few days» for them to finish a project that probably required 30 minutes of work. After I took the piece home, I placed it back in the display cabinet and noticed under the direct overhead lighting that there was now a hairline crack! I called them and told them what happened and they said they didn’t know what I was talking about and basically told my to «prove it» if I thought they are responsible for the damage. I should have inspected the piece while I was at their«studio»(which is nothing more than a dark and dank apartment), so legally my hands were tied. NEVERAGAIN!
