Very small market, but produce has been excellent. Off of a very busy street, but there’s plenty of parking available. I’d love to see this market expand and thrive since it’s so close to home. My weekly produce stop.

So much potential this place has, I truly hope Saturday’s can be a good thing around these neighborhoods. Came here with my father to use some senior citizen vouchers he received from I really don’t know where but he had twenty to spend and then some. Well there was only three stands and a food stand selling tamales, the food stand had chairs and tables but we were not hungry, maybe next time try out the tamales, it was hot, if they had aguas frescas then that would have been a plus. The three stands that offered had plenty of greens and fruit but that is about it. I think more stands which could offer other items would be awesome for this small farmers market. Hope to see this place get a bit bigger since it has space to do so, but I guess they are getting their toes wet before diving in.

SATURDAYS, 10AMTO3PM!!! Finally, a weekend farmer’s market nearby with PLENTY of parking! There are not a lot of booths yet as it’s relatively new to the area and they must need to see a bigger crowd to attract more vendors. That said, my husband and I got a treat at every booth! I’ll take quality over quantity any day. Nice veggies and the peaches were divine. Amazing goat cheese and yogurt. Another booth had an assortment of spreads and dips that were delicious. And the mole sauce — wow! Fresh yummy pastries(muffins and croissants). A jewelry stand. Am I forgetting anything? In short: Yay!!!

Stumbled upon this new market white driving on San Fernando. It’s in the parking lot of the mega Goodwill that recently opened I’ve been there twice. Open Saturdays 10:00am to 3:00pm. There are only about 7 to 10 vendors, each carrying a limited selection of quality products in their area of specialty. The vendors there promote organic farming. They are all really nice and attentive. I walked away today with the sweetest strawberries and nectarines for a bargain. Last time the papusa vendor was there — amazing as always. It’s the same as the Atwater Village vendor, but without the long line. Unfortunately they weren’t there today. I did see the tamale vendor there though. Other vendors included citrus, berries, honey, vegetables, and an Asian vegetables vendor. It’s conveniently located for me, so I’ll go as often as I can to help get this market going, but it’s not worth making a special trip there as its still such a small market. Oh, there was also some live music there, just one or two artists, not a whole band.
