I love, love love Get Shaved. Great flavors, and generous portions. They have a happy hour thing on Tuesdays, that’s usually the day I stop by with my co worker after work. The guy that’s always there is awesome, great sense of humor, very efficient and just overall great. I know I should have gotten his name by now.

THISPLACEDOESNOTDISAPPOINT! definitely one of mine and my kids go to spots when we need to cool down from this California heat. By far one of our FAVORITE places to go for shaved ice! The texture, the flavor, the presentation of it is just so amazing! It’s not like your average boring overly sweet shaved ice! Here it’s sooo smooth and it melts in your mouth! Yuuummmm! and especially with the ice cream. O M G ! the best! I always always always order«one love» MUSTTRY!

I came in here for the first time with some coworkers on Tuesday, and I really really enjoyed it. Super delicious. But my favorite part was the worker. We walked in like 10 mins before they closed. He was SUCH a good sport. He was so joyful, and extremely nice. I didn’t catch his name, but he is the reason I’m going to return.

Customer service sucks! The employees just talk to each other and ignore the customers. It’s quite disgusting, in my opinion. I have never been in a place where the employees don’t even say«welcome.» So it was my first time in one of these places, and last! Xoxo

Pretty good spot they’re quick with making the ice. The staff is friendly also this is a good location, right next to CSUN on Reseda and Prairie. The ice is definitely good, it wasn’t that busy when I went. Overall a good spot and I will be back.

Very sad, crazy busy.. super slow. Ordered mine with macadamia nut ice cream, they did not put it in but I had already driven away. Shaved ice had some chunks, the flavors did not soak all the way down to the middle so half the serving was plain shaved ice. Assuming they were employees n not the owners, you have a problem with quality control

Normally this place is great. Two guys here tonight 11⁄13 behind the counter aren’t doing a damn thing. The tables are incredibly dirty and the store is completely empty. The two employees come out from the back when someone walks in, then disappear in the back as soon as they are done. Two of us ordered root beer dreams and they didn’t ask us if we wanted ice cream, we assumed it came with it. Nope, no ice cream. A disappointing experience from a normally good place. Wish I could take back my tip.

WOW! I have never in my entire life been confronted with such lack of customer service! I’ve been a loyal Get Shaved customer at this location and the one on Reseda Blvd.(they all belong to the same owner) and have enjoyed their shaved ice many times without a single complaint. I LOOOOVE their #10 flavor(One Love) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and condensed milk on top. It’s AMAZING! Their flavors don’t taste completely artificial like they do at other shaved ice stores and their ice is always the perfect snowy texture! That being said, I am sad to report that one bad experience has ruined it for me and I will probably never visit this location again. Customer service, professionalism, and good etiquette are a big deal for me, an the following experienced change my perception of this place. I walked in by myself on a Saturday night(yesterday) and a large family(of about 10) was in line ahead of me. I was a bit distracted and wasn’t sure what the hold up was, but when the large family finished placing their order, I heard them say to those customers something about«their machine being broken,» so I figured, «Oh no worries, good thing I have cash!»(In reality, the issue was that their system was down.) The two employees ALEX, and a girl whose name I didn’t get(we’ll get to that a little later) told those customers not to worry, that their order would be taken care of(without having to pay). At this point, I was still under the assumption that it was just their CC machine that was not working, so I continued to wait in line. After a few minutes, another family walked in an got in line behind me. This was when ALEX proceeded to ask me if I was part of the party in front of me, at which point I said«no.» Then, in a blunt and uneducated manner, he said. «OHTHEN I’M GONNAHAVETOASKYOUTOLEAVE.» I understand that their system was down; it happens. I also would never expect to get anything for free as a result of this. What really bothered me was the way I was told. I would NEVER say to a customer, «I’M GOINGTOHAVETOASKYOUTOLEAVE.» That’s plain disrespectful and humiliating, especially after standing there for several minutes. I honestly would never have been offended and would have gone on my merry way if he would’ve said something along the lines of, «Ms., I’m sorry, but unfortunately our system is down, and we won’t be able to take any more orders, we apologize for the inconvenience.» Simple as that. As a bonus to this experience, I called back after I left, to get this guy’s name, so that I could bring the situation up to a manager to make sure he would be properly trained on customer service and how to handle this sort of situation in the future. He answered the phone, so I asked his name. He stuttered and turned the phone over to the girl employee, who asked me if I was the upset customer who was just there. I said yes, and she asked me «Well, why do you need his name?» REALLY? WOW! At this point, I’m pissed, so I said I would be writing or calling in to speak to his manager and that’s why I needed his name. She said«Oh in that case we’re not allowed to give our names over the phone.» W-T-F??? SKETCHY! I told her«No worries, I’ll include that in my phone call to your manager, I’m sure he’ll be able to find out both your names based on who was on schedule or clocked in right?» So she finally tells me his name and proceeds to apologize on his behalf,(something he couldn’t even do for himself!) After all this, her«apology» didn’t seem very sincere(not to mention it was coming from the wrong person) so I told her I didn’t really care for it, and ended the conversation. I really hope their manager gives them some intensive training on how to respectfully treat a customer. Humiliating someone and then trying to avoid accepting responsibility by lying, is unacceptable. P. S. After this unfortunate mishap, I drove over to the the location on Reseda Blvd. and got my shaved ice from the two awesome girls there :)

Been here once, but definitely going to go again. Right as you walk in, the workers greet you warmly. They are very patient with customers and work efficiently. The atmosphere of the place was great because the workers were very happy and seemed to enjoy their jobs. A little kid dropped his shaved ice and the nice worker quickly cleaned it up and offered him a new one. The shaved ice also is very fluffy and has the right ratio of ice to syrup. I recommend getting a size smaller than what you want because the quantities they serve are huge.

A good and reasonably priced place to get shaved ice. You can get it custom made or try one of their own creations. It’s about 3.50 for a medium size, which I think is a good portion for one, and enough to share. My husband and I got a medium island breeze, which was a combination of coconut, mango, and guava. It was delicious.

This is the real deal and definitely the best shaved ice I’ve ever experienced. Living in Florida, there’s nothing that compares to this where I live. Having heard about Get Shaved for nearly a year before I was able to get a ticket to Los Angeles and experience it for myself, I can tell you it was well worth the anticipation, wait and money. It’s kinda’ a big deal. Seriously. And the portions are generous. The snow-like shaved ice is the perfect consistency, blending and not too sweet. No slush just light and airy melt-in-your-mouth pillows of snow perfection mixed with the amazing flavors available and endless toppings. Add to that some delicious Taro ice cream and you have a dessert that you’re not going to want to share with anyone. Only down-side is I live 3000 miles away and can’t get my Get Shaved fix when I want. How I miss the«One Love.» Ughhh.

It’s like eating freshly fallen snow with extremely good and consistent flavors! Seriously though, the ice shall not crunch, it shall not melt overly fast, and it shall melt in your mouth with the mix of toppings and syrup. Best of all, the flavoring is consistent throughout the ice. Tons of flavors to choose from, but I always end up getting monkey brains(strawberry, banana, and condensed milk) or some kind of other combination with condensed milk. I ALWAYS always get ice cream with it — it’s so worth it and their ice cream is extremely creamy, dense, and flavorful! It adds a great texture to the dessert and makes it infinitely better. In terms of size, UFO is the perfect amount for one person for dessert, but if you’re just here for an afternoon snack or something, the small would be fine as well!(More ice cream, the better!) Parking is extremely easy in the giant lot and you can enjoy your shaved ice and ice cream while you watch sweaty LA-fitnessers walk out of the gym and try not to feel guilty!

Hands down one of my favorite deserts when it’s hot outside. The flavor a are always subtle and not too overwhelming. The ice is very fine so there is no need to be crunching on any ice cubes while you indulge. There are so many flavors to chose that it might feel overwhelming, but really all the flavors are fantastic. And if you really don’t know what to get the staff is always nice and if you ask for help they will offer suggestions right away. The last time I went I wasn’t sure and I asked which one she recommended and I got the #10 and was not disappointed. I always get vanilla ice cream in the bottom because it goes with everything but still gives it a good taste. For the topping I like condensed milk the best. The location is great, with a great parking lot that is shared with a lot of other restaurants and stores, including LA fitness. The staff is super friendly and are always willing to help and chat with you. This location is by far my favorite Get Shaved location and I can’t wait to be back especially during summer.
