I totally love the garage Gallery. It is located on the other side of the 110 freeway in a dark street parking is very scarce its all meter parking however, there is parking right around the corner for $ 10 which is pretty good and plenty of parking. The gallery itself looks like it used to be an old auto mechanics garage where they fixed up cars it has plenty of room. I like it its really old school its not like the typical Gallery you find in downtown LA but that’s what makes it so great you find gems like this. The walls are covered with murals painted by extremely talented graffiti artist the quality, color, and composition of the entire pieces will blow your mind. The work is this absolutely fascinating and it’s unlike any Gallery that’s in LA. Half of the garage cut in half so as you walk in you see the amazing artwork that is displayed by some of the best artist is Los Angeles has to offer. it is a must see. I love the way the artwork is displayed the artwork is hanging buy nuts and bolts and steel chains hooked to the roof of the building which gives it almost like a steampunk type of film very cool. As you walk to the other half all the gallery have a huge dance floor highlighted by neon lighting because the room is dark they have a DJ that plays during the shows so you can dance kick back have a beer and just relax or enjoy meeting new people and talking about Art. The ambiance here is totally relaxed and it’s just a fun place to come to. probably the best thing about this Gallery is the owner which, his name is Trek. He’s a really nice guy a sweetheart and I love that he’s so passionate about artist in general and the art scene around the globe he’s a credit to the kind of people that run the art scene in downtown Los Angeles if you have a chance to make it out to his gallery I highly recommend it because, it’s well worth it.

Love the Garage Gallery LA! This place is an art gallery with an underground vibe. I come here each month for RaveReady’s «Art of Gloving» event and this location never disappoints. The venue is beautiful with gorgeous murals painted on the walls. Art hangs throughout the walls which are set up like a maze. The owners are super down to earth and inviting and for the most part I notice people are respectful of the art space. They have a small dj set up, bar and dance floor in the back. Good amount of couches and chairs. It’s a great place to hang out with friends to enjoy music and art without the pretentiousness of the LA scene. Parking is a bit of a pain during Fridays and Saturdays if you don’t arrive early. There are other galleries and music venues on 7th street. Parking in the area ranges from $ 10 – 20. If you’re in the area it’s better to Über it.
