Great, local grocery store, that has a lot of Korean food essentials, including a whole refrigerated section *just* for kimchi. Wow. There is a good selection of produce at pretty affordable prices. They’ve also got a good selection of sashimi, lots of banchan to-go options. I like that they have organic, farm-raised eggs here. There’s also a bakery area, in front of the cashier closest to the parking garage entrance/exit, where you can get pasties like small cakes, red bean buns, and such, but that’s a little pricey so I’ve never bought anything from there. I usually shop on weekday nights and there’s never any trouble finding parking — plenty of open spaces. Although there is a booth upon entering the lot, don’t worry about it, parking is free. Galleria Market is located on the bottom floor of the mall. So, park near the bottom if you don’t want to be lugging your groceries to another floor!

Great place to find asian foods and produce. The price is fair though the seafood is not so fresh.

I love this place. It’s an all-in-one type of market. There’s a large food court on the top floor. Top 2 floors have a shopping mall. And there’s the grocery store on the bottom floor. The parking garage can get a bit tricky on the weekends and fill up quickly. There’s also 2 elevators that are usually being used so I almost always take the stairs. The supermarket entry way also has a pharmacy and a bakery. The smells of the fresh baked breads are intoxicating. The grocery store has a large produce area with very inexpensive prices. They offer free samples of certain products most of the time. Large selection of fresh seafood and meats. Equally large area for banchan and kimchi. There’s also a mini food court area in the back of the grocery store. I always hit up the ramen and Korean snack isles too. Large selection of tasty treats. Lastly, you can always find a great deal on alcohol. A bottle of soju runs about $ 1.99 for the sale items and once in a while you can get a 12 pack of Cass beer for $ 5.99.

Pretty good market. I like this one better than any of the markets around. I’ve always come here even though there are newer and cleaner markets opening all over koreatown. No longer will I come here. Beware of the parking attendant dood. He’s got a serious attitude and will yell and make sure you can’t park. Just was there and this lady was backing out from the first space so I waited to take the spot and he demanded I move BC I was blocking the entrance so I just pointed to say that the lady was backing out of the spot(her reverse lights were already on). He got so pissed off and kept yelling that I was blocking the entrance. At that point there was only one car behind me. So I kept insisting that I was just waiting for that spot. Then he walked in front of my car, took a pic of my license plate with his camera phone and then refused to let the lady back out of her spot BC he was hell bent on not letting me have that parking spot. I have a huge issue with you pretend threatening me by taking a pic of my license plate. Even though logically I know he can’t do anything with the info(he had not one but TWO fake security badges on his belt) in this day and age it was clearly made as a threat. Really?! Now there are cars stacking up behind me. So now she’s honking BC he won’t let her back up. And he then yells at me to move. I’m staying pretty calm but now I realize he’d rather escalate the situation just to «win» and I realize he’s very unstable. So I just give up and go in. He continued to yell at me as I drive in. Why so much aggression, parking dood? So I complain to the customer service counter person and he just directs me up to the security desk. The supervisor is nice and says he’ll talk to his guy. By the time I leave, I see and hear him yelling at other customers to move their cars and stop blocking the transit lane. Look I get how stressful and crowded it gets especially on Sundays. But there is no need to be yelling at me or a bunch of old Korean ladies just coming to do their weekly grocery shopping. I certainly might be able to defend myself but my mother would have been completely frazzled by that treatment. Galleria market chain, I am telling you to take care of this problem. There’s no need for that kind of bullshit macho aggression. There are plenty of other Korean markets in ktown where I don’t have to risk being verbally assaulted or not allowed to park so that I COULDSPENDMYMONEY in YOUR establishment

The best Korean grocery store in the greater Los Angeles area. There I said it! It is gigantic with abundance of selection. Ajumma army runs the free sample tables and I’ve got to say… These ladies are friendly. When I’m not sure where something is, I ask one of the ladies and they’ve always been helpful to me even when it has nothing to do with the product they are selling. The lines during the weekends are crazy long… I mean it is crazy long, but they move quickly so don’t get discouraged by them. The market houses one of the Cake House locations and Dong Bang Mi-In(Korean Rice Pastry Shop). You must stop by and grab some treats to try. Delish! Nearest Metro Station: Purple Line at Wilshire/Western Station — Not within walking distance

My mom and I come here at least once a week to buy groceries. I like to shop for groceries here, bc it’s close to my home. There is a food court on the third floor.

Whenever I come here, I feel like I’m in Korea and I get so amazed by the amount of Koreans in LA. The Korean grocery definitely cheaper than shopping at my local Ralph’s. But it is such a hassle to come out to Korea town for grocery shopping. I usually get my Korean groceries but I hate shopping here because the aisles are so crowded. The free parking lot is also a nightmare. Imagine LA’s worst impatient rude drivers in a single lot. Yep, that’s koreatown for ya. Even though I love Korean food so much, I rarely come here because it really takes a lot of emotional strength to come out here. However once I’m here and see all of the Korean banchans, rice cakes, Kim bap, I get very happy. They have a food court upstairs. Let me tell you, Korean grocery store food courts are THEBEST. So much variety at affordable prices, with NOTIP. You can’t go wrong there. Oh, except for the fact that none of the shops take American Express.

If you saw the white guy last weekend with a screaming toddler… yeah, sorry about that. The elevators dropped us off near a toy store and my son wanted some Pororo toy. We had to get to the store and I said«no.» He didn’t stop crying until we left, except for the five minutes when I shoved a box of Pokey in his hand to keep him quiet. We left the grocery store as quickly as possible to not ruin the other shoppers’ day. I really wish we could have stayed for the food court! Actually, I am not sure if the Galleria Market is just the grocery store or the entire mall. If it’s the mall, I can only speak to the grocery store itself. The grocery store is very cool and big and is where my wife likes to go to get supplies if we’re going to have a Korean meal. I love their meat and fish sections and they have a lot to choose from. Free samples seem to be popular too. Maybe the best Korean grocery store in LA?

One of the better Korean markets for sure. Free parking lot and the grocery store itself is organized and offers everything you could possibly need. Produce is pretty good, they always have good quality goguma which is a huge plus for me. Great meat section! Lots of fresh options. The black pork belly is sooo fresh and delicious. They also have an extensive banchan counter and the ones I’ve tried have all been really good. Bonus: the bakery and rice cake shops right outside the entrance of the market.

Bibimbap/assorted vegetables… check! Lots of Banchan… check! Japchae…check!!! Lots of korean goodies… check x3!!! Reserved parking lot, not valet… check! I can’t believe I’ve never gone to this store! And its nearby my work, perfecto!!! I’m gonna be eating korean food everyweeek!!! Affordable too, not that expensive. Bibimbap was only $ 4.99 here, rather than going out. It’s traffic to get here during rush hour… but seriously though, rush hour is like every hour in LA lol. But if you are craving korean food and do not wanna go to korean restaurant, esp when it’s late at night, then just go here and buy your stuff for those kind of days. Not the cleanest place though… but most asian markets are like that so im not surprised. Anyways, it’s definitely worth to shop food here.

This place only reiterates HOWLUCKYMYTASTEBUDSARE to live in LA where inexpensive sashimi is available!!! But seriously, $ 16.99 for 28 thick slices of fatty and melt-in-your-mouth salmon sashimi… My tastebuds got the most amazing experience of their life, and I felt like I was robbing a bank in broad daylight! At ANY Japanese restaurant, this assortment would probably ring up to at least $ 48!!!(Yep, I go to Japanese way too much)… Oh and by the way, the salmon sashimi ain’t the only offering, they have tuna sashimi and halibut sashimi and also offer up mixed combos! If you’re a sashimi-lover, like myself, do yourself a favor and get your tail on over here!!!

The Western and Olympic Galleria Market is bigger than the Vermont location but the staff aren’t as friendly. I typically buy the prepared banchan and put it in a plastic bag in case of leaks, but the bag boys didn’t do it and when I was driving home, I noticed my car smelling a little funky only to find that pickle juice spilled out, soaked my reusable bag, and soiled my seats. On another occasion, I selected the apple yogurt drink but the salesperson convinced me to get a four-pack because it’s like getting double the amount for only $ 1 more. She made a variety pack with different flavors but when I got home, the one with the green top wasn’t even the apple flavored one! On the plus side, I do enjoy the wide selection of prepared banchan, including pickled cucumbers and daikon, marinated tofu and bok choy, and seasoned seaweed. I also can’t deny the free samples on every aisle. The meat and produce selections aren’t bad either. Every time I shop, I haven’t noticed discolored meat and I haven’t seen old and wilted vegetables/fruits. There’s also pretty good seafood, $ 9.99/pound for live Dungeness crab and the tiger shrimps are plump.

Galleria Market is located on the bottom floor of the Koreatown Galleria Mall. They have a variety of Asian groceries. Quality is good and the market has a little bit of everything. It’s spacious inside but does very crowded, since it’s a popular grocery store. Plenty of kimchi and other banchan prepared for you to take home. Employees were quick and friendly. There is a large cosmetic section, which is a bit pricey. There is Free parking here, but be patient. Driving around here can be a bit rough. I like that they offer free samples of some of their products.

Best Korean Place in Los Angeles! This place has it all! If you are ever in need of Korean food or products, come to the Koreatown Galleria. This place is HUGE. Best feature of this place is the Korean Market on the ground level. The store is just like an Albertsons /Ralphs, but has almost all Korean items. The selection is good, the food is fresh, the items are fun to eat. Be sure to check out the bakery and hot food items in the back of the store. They are always pumping out some delicious smelling items! From fresh kim chee to hwe dol bap(sashimi salad) to macarons and pasteries, this place has it all. There is tons of parking, but be ready to fight for a stall when it is busy. The drivers here aren’t the best or nicest. Be ready to have patience in the store during peak hours. Some of the customers can also get aggressive. Use your cart! Food Grade: A Service Grade: B+ Worth the Money Grade: B+ Overall Impression Grade: B+

My go-to Korean market! Parking: They have their own parking lot and it’s free. Service: I haven’t talked to the staffs here but considering the fact that it’s an Asian market, it’s pretty clean and organized. Product: I love going here and picking up snacks and groceries! I usually get some Korean chips and Kimchi in bottles!

Whenever I’m in Koreatown, this is the market that I regularly go to. This place has variety of things to choose from and they often go on a sale during weekends. The produce is fresh and overall quality of this market is better than other Korean markets in LA. While you shop at this place, there are other places that you can visit in the same building including bakery, pharmacy, and other private shops. Very top of this building has a food court with restaurants that mostly sells Korean food. If you crave for Korean food while shopping here, it will be a good idea to check out the food court. This time around, House Tofu was having a promotion inside of the market. I guess Doraemon is their spokesperson for this promotion. I was surprised to see that there was actual person inside of this tiny Doraemon costume. My kid got to take a photo together but he doesn’t know what Doraemon is yet so he wasn’t quite excited about it as you can see from the photo.

There’s a little bit of everything in here. Everything Korean, that is. I spent a good 2 hours in here, and I’m pretty sure I could’ve spent more if I wasn’t short on time. Amazing food court with all your Korean cravings… I literally wanted to get something from EVERY joint… naengmyon? Jjolmyon? SOONDAE??? The little stores are a hit or miss, depending what you are looking for. I did like the store with a bunch of car stuff though… I’d decorate my car if I had more $. The supermarket itself is also a little(big) slice of heaven. MORE food!!! Delicious looking banchan, fresh meats… MORESOONDAE!!! And samples on every corner! Absolutely ridiculously AWESOME! I got some corn tea and misc snacks for a great price and my gosh… I can’t wait to come back. Next time I’ll stock up on everything and have a big cooking night at home! PS: Parking garage is a huge plus! VERY compact parking and some crazy drivers though, so beware…

One of the biggest and cleanest Korean Supermarkets in K-Town. Usually bigger variety of produce and goodies. If you don’t like crowds, stay away on Weekends. Pretty packed crowd. I like the many samples given away and the bigger variety of fruits and veggies. Not to mention their prepared foods and side dishes. Always shopping for fresh fruits and veggies.
