Simply put, FS2 and Fred Engelfried provide the best fitness training I’ve ever had. I see that the other review also says he’s the ‘best’… it’s a word not used lightly. He truly is outstanding, which is why I’m leaving this review. I’ve been working out throughout my life, both on my own at gyms and with a number of fitness trainers. When I moved into the area last year, I saw that there was a cross fit gym in Kenneth Village. I was fortunate enough to schedule a training session with Fred so that I could check it out. It’s now been almost five months and I continue to train with Fred several times a week. I find him to be one of the most knowledgeable and skilled trainers I’ve encountered. He’s able to customize each workout specifically to get me to the next level while paying attention to avoid risk to a past injury. My stamina(both physical and mental) have significantly improved. I’m sleeping better, feeling great and(as per my co-workers) looking a lot more engaged at work. If you’re looking to optimize your health and fitness, I highly recommend Fred at FS2.

I highly recommend both Fred and Christine at FS2! 5 months after having a baby I needed to do something for myself. Fred and Christine helped customize a workout schedule that worked with my insane«mom» hours. The strength training sessions, with Fred, are the BEST Personal Training sessions I’ve EVER had. Some days I come in with a random injury and I’m not sure how I got it… and Fred is able to correct it and figure out what I’m doing to cause the pain in the first place. Yoga with Christine is everything: fun, tough, challenging, relaxing and calming. I’ve been doing Yoga for over 15 and Christine has taught me so much more! She also incorporated my baby into the poses! This is the real«mommy and me yoga» I had been looking for. I feel strong, healthy and happy thanks to FS2!

I’ve been training for fs2 going on 3 years. Staff conditioned me to fight 3 Mixed Martial arts bouts. Their knowledge of my specific athletic needs made me the athlete I am today. Now I compete in 24 hr endurance events and obstacle races(Spartan, tough mudder) I strongly recommend Fred and Laura. They are passionate about what they do. They don’t settle for anything but the best out of you. I strongly recommend them for general fitness and all your athletic needs.

I train with Laura and she is amazing! I went to her with my body goals and the areas I wanted to target and she is an expert at making me sore there. Besides targeting my problem areas I get an all over workout that definitely pushes my limits in a good way. She is very motivating during the workout and keeps me going even when I want to stop. Besides from the workout she is also very knowledgable about nutrition and with the workouts she also provided a weekly food plan for me. It helped me understand what is best for my body and how to maximize my results. I highly recommend Laura and the FS2 training facility!

I went to an FS2 Training Survival Skills class about two weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about it! Being a die-hard city girl, with VERY limited camping, hiking, outdoor experience I had my reservations going into the class. Within the first 30 minutes of the class, I felt super relaxed/not one bit intimidated. The class is very informative on animal and human tracking, plant recognition(knowing the edible vs. poisonous and the different uses for them), trapping, and assessing your situation & knowing how to make the best of it. What I learned is not only useful in the wilderness but also can be applied in every day life situations. I’d definitely recommend this class to beginners and experts alike!
