I can see that this place has not changed one bit. If you’re feeling for some soft serve in a classic outdoors environment, than this place is what you’re looking for. My girlfriend and i ordered a classic sundae and a rb float. Both came with mediocre vanilla flavored soft serve with an easy to use long spoon. Both were reasonable prices. There was ample amount of seating but as you get closer to the benches, you can almost see years of build up of ice cream stains. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they really wipe down their table tops, but since their tables have holes, you can still see all of the stains. If I were to come back, I think I would stick to eating in my car.

Well I’m a little worried about this place. The staff is ok not bad but this place just looks all worn down nothing special about this place I believe they should just go out of business, is just like owning a sport team that sucks and you just keep around just to keep, that’s how this restaurant seems like.

Foster’s Freeze, now that’s old school for sure. If you’re coming here for anything other than the desserts then something is clearly wrong with you. That’s like going to a steakhouse and ordering nothing but a salad. They definitely serve up some great ice cream and sundaes here, but I can’t really give this place more than 2 stars based on the current conditions. The place is extremely decrepit and signs of poor upkeep are everywhere: old benches/tables, peeling paint, etc. «Hey! Would you like some asbestos with that milkshake?» I kid I kid, but seriously guys… put some money into sprucing up the place… Your best bet is either getting a Blizzard or a sundae here. I got a hot fudge sundae and my friend got a chocolate sundae. A medium sundae sets you back $ 2.99; a large size costs $ 3.99. So what’s the difference between chocolate and hot fudge, you say? So basically, the chocolate topping is the type that hardens upon contact with the ice cream(think of Smucker’s Magic Shell Chocolate topping) whereas the hot fudge stays in liquid form. 3 stars for the desserts, 1 star for the extremely dilapidated conditions. Small lot located on the premises, but I’ve never seen this place fill up.

When I attended the local high school, this place was a great after school treat or lunchtime if you could get out! And it still seems to be true. The usual crowd is teens or locals wanting a burger or ice cream. I love their cold stuff but the burgers/sandwiches are lacking. Nothing terrible but well, burger king is right next door, you know? In the end, the prices are pretty good though and I can’t complain when it comes to their shakes. There isn’t much seating though since the place is small and since its outdoors, nothing stops the flies. Best just to get your food and go eat at home or on the go!

Awesome place for desert or to kill a summer night. The burgers are good and the shakes are bomb. If your ever in the neighborhood give it a try.

I’m kind of torn giving this location 2 stars, but given some of my experiences here, you’ll see my dilemma. Though the place is really run down; flaking paint work, beat up benches and tattered old signs, you really can’t complain about the reasonable prices and, well, who can really go wrong with ice cream. Service for the most part is unpredictable. Often understaffed, its quite common to see only one person working here, which makes it tough for them to take and fulfill orders.(Mind you this creates a line which advertises that the place is popular, so this could be some clever marketing strategy.) My big concern comes when you visit this place in summertime. On at least 2 occasions this place has been infested with flies. They do their best to keep them out of the serving area with a sliding, glass hatch, but once in it gets pretty disturbing. As the employee, opened it to hand me my icecream, a ‘flurry’ of bugs took turns to enter and exit. Hence…2 stars. Parking: Theres a parking lot along the side.

It clearly says they close at 10! Came at 9:30 and was told they were closed. But they so happened to take the order of the people that arrived right after us. Seriously?

Oh man. Fosters Freeze is a beacon of my childhood! I grew up in LA and Fosters was a staple of my childhood diet, and still to this day they get it done right! I’m glad there are still a few of these around. Keep supporting them! My favorite is the fried chicken sando with a delish butterfinger twister. Now I’m hungry. Time to make a trip…

I love fosters and I’ve been coming to this location for a long time! The past couple of times that I’ve been here the service has been lacking. I’m not sure if this young girl is new, but she got my order wrong on both visits. I don’t understand how because she writes the order down on a piece of paper but still gets it wrong. There was a line building up behind me and the girl helping me asked another employee for help, but the other girl never bothered to come help her. Looks like these girls need some training on teamwork and on customer service.

Has the vintage ice cream feel to the building, and it makes you want more. Great selection and rare to see one that’s not a combo store with a fast food joint. This is over of those rare places that you just don’t see anymore, but certain to hit your ice cream sundae cravings

Eagle Rock Foster’s Freeze… now that’s an old school stop for me. I hadnt been here in years. And as were driving home from a Super Bowl party, I had the great notion to have a chocolate dipped cone. Genius, I am! haha… I was worried they would be close as it was past 830pm already that Sunday night. It was surprising to find out they close at 10pm. Sweeet! I mean, I felt bad for the girl working there on a Sunday but us customer appreciated it and I put a tip in the tip jar for her troubles. I got a medium sized chocolate dipped vanilla cone. It was great. Just what I needed. It definitely was what I was craving. I had not had it in years and it was as good as I remember. Delish. Thanks Foster’s Freeze for taking me back.

I come here pretty frequently for the«half and half»(chocolate and vanilla) soft serve cone. Love the texture! It’s basically everything I want in a soft serve cone. And it’s cheap, too – the small size usually does the trick(and I typically have a pretty good appetite), and it comes to like $ 1.08 or 1.09 after tax. Think my wife would agree that this is our go-to spot for a quick, cheap, tasty snack nearby. It’s also got a nice nostalgic feel to it. Haven’t tried the food yet.

I usually come by whenever I feel the need for dessert and I tell you their twisters are amazing. Ice Cream swirled with your topping of choice, mine always being oreo. This place always hits the spot without fail

Amazing Root beer floats here. Their Oreo blasts & vanilla sundae’s are a hit. Oh man Fosters always delivers. That good old-fashioned ice cream taste. They can even make you an Oreo shake which isn’t on the shake menu. Add Malt like I do for a tantalizing taste bud experience. Their grilled cheese & cheeseburgers are pretty darn good here as well if your looking for the savory aspect. But come on people come here for the ice cream desserts.

Came by for a shake earlier in the week and all I can say is WOW! The strawberry shake here had to have been the best I have ever had. Many other shakes never have real strawberry ice cream in them, but this one has real ice cream and is full of real strawberries! I came by a second time today to try their peanut butter shake, it too is delicious. I haven’t tried their food, but this is a great place for ice cream/shakes.

For a fast food joint, I gotta say it was pretty good. All the food is made to order so the fries are hot & crispy! The burger had good flavor(my bf got the old fashion) but it was a little sloppy. We also got an Oreo twister, which was awesome. I loved how the Oreo bits were well distributed throughout the ice cream as opposed to just being sprinkled on top(cough mcdonalds blizzard). Will be back again if we are craving junk food.

I LOVEONIONRINGS! I LOVEDIPPEDSOFTSERVE! i LOVEBANANASMOOTHIES! OMNOMNOM! This place is probably older than me. Its run down, its old, its small, BUT its still up and running. There’s really nothing like this place for miles around where I live, so you can still expect to see lines here during random times/days. They actually grill your burger, as you can see through the mesh screen that separates the workers and yourself. So it beats burger king right next door. I just hope people keep this place alive. With the area getting nicer and nicer, I am actually afraid it might be bought out. But i think its important to keep the older shops/stores around. It keeps the town special.

CUSTOMERSERVICE was NOTGOOD! I wanted a malt. I wanted a chocolate malt really badly! And, I’m cranky b/c I came here to get it & I left without it. Why? Well, b/c no one wanted to take our order & would rather have us bake in the sun! Not cool! Both literally &, well, you get the point! We came to get a chocolate malt & a rootbeer float. We saved some room & calories from our lunch specifically to come here afterwards. There are several windows in which to order from. The ones facing the street were in full sun so we came to the side window in the shade. It’s 95 degrees outside today, FYI. The lady said she would take our order at the front window(in the sun). After several minutes of her coming near the window & not even acknowledging us we said to her, call us when you’re ready, we are standing in the shade. We step a few feet to the side in the shade. After another several minutes of TWOOFTHEM w/only 2 other patrons sitting outside, one of whom was already eating his food, we decided their service wasn’t worth our money and it was definitely worth the review! I’m not going to burn in the sun just because you can’t acknowledge me or do your job efficiently & sufficiently. Dangit! I’m still craving a chocolate malt! Booo!

It’s fosters! It’s great! Now, don’t get me wrong. You don’t get no ivory cloth napkins or chilled silverware. Shoot, you don’t even get to use the bathroom. This place is ratty. The benches are all tagged up. One of them is even broken. You want a free water cup? No, there’s a water fountain to accommodate your needs. But listen, the ladies who take your order are nice and they serve you with a smile. I don’t see a heat lamp because they make the fries when you order them. I like my fries the way I like my men. Hot. Crisp. Greasy. And in large quantities. [just kidding] and that’s how they come! Grilled cheeses are hot, gooey, and buttery. Just like how your mom used to make them. [I say your mom because my mom never made me a grilled cheese.] The burgers are good and juicy. The fish and chips are pretty good too. Thick and buttery. [Actually, i’m not sure if buttery is the word exactly, but I can’t think of a better adjective.] And the shrimp and chips are pretty good too. Hey girl. Do you want some shake with those fries? [ha-ha] Yes. Yes you do. Because it’s FOSTERSOLDFASHIONEDFREEZE and you want a shake with the fries I mentioned earlier. Oh, and this place is cheap. Cheap is good, people.

Been coming here since I was small… this one reason why I’m fat. The burgers are actually pretty good here. The ice creams and smoothies are delicious. Well if you ever come here you’ll notice that the burgers aren’t that, trust me they’ll fill you up just right. They might also take forever to make your food… this will piss you off… totally wroth the wait. I wish I could write more but I’ve forgot what I use to get from here… see what drugs do.
