I love this place and always will. Their cobb salad is the best I’ve ever had. And I love their tuna sandwich. They have a cute outdoor patio in the back.

Fouffie sandwiches and salads. «Cold brew» bottled up tastes horrible and flat, flavorless. Honestly thinking it’s plain iced coffee sold as cold brew for nearly $ 5. Worst part — they call themselves organic but when I walked by the window near where they prepare food I could clearly see them using aunt jemima and Quaker Oats. Hahaha, what? That’s a joke in a town like this. Your competition will eat you. In short, if you care about food and drink quality, don’t come here.

They have a cute and small outside patio area hidden in the back. I ordered a tall coffee and it came with a bite-size mini muffin I had a business meeting and the ambiance was good for it

The sandwich was not at all what was advertised. Probably won’t go back. Bummer. It seemed really cool. But sandwich really was bad I ordered a turkey and Brie sandwich. What I got was dry turkey.(Ok it happens). And pears. Not a piece of Brie to be seen. Oh. And the fig spread didn’t not compliment the sandwich either. DONTTRYIT!

Uhm, I just had the best iced vanilla latte ever! This place is so cute, and have a lot of European style coffee on the menu. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but lately, I’ve been just craving so much of it. When I was traveling in Europe, I kind of got hooked on European coffee and they definitely serve in European style here. I definitely have to try the beautiful nouges they had on display next time. Lucky for me, it’s right next to my studio where I work!

I can’t begin to describe how much I love FoodLab. Dog friendly: two patios, they give your dogs water and treats. My good has been fast and reasonably priced. I’m addicted to their chicken BLT. The place is down the block from me, and I’m proud to call it «my spot.» And so is my dog, Louie.

Pretty great, super refined spot that reflects the taste of the Austrian/German owners. Nice staff, their breakfast fare is excellent, high end ingredients, good, not great coffee, but all in all this is a excellent place to meet for breakfast. Great quiet outdoor space. The food really lands a little too expensive, their markup on juices and other things seems crazy, I always wish my bill was 15% less, and it definitely factors in to how often I frequent the place. But all in all I think these people care about delivering a high quality experience to their customers and I appreciate that.

I will probably give them a second try. My 1st time here was disappointing. I First, waited 30mn for a Belgian waffle that came«empty», with no consistency, kind of fluffy(I am French so I know the waffles well). I showed them, 15mn later I had another one, exactly the same. 45-minute wait for no waffle. Wrong beginning. My espresso was okay. Since I was starving, I ordered an «avocado cream» that was actually a sandwich(it was not mentionned on the menu and I don’t like to eat gluten…). But ok, I was really starving so I tried to eat it. But it was super dry, I had almost no avocado into it(too bad for a «creamy dish»). They added some avocado cream on my half-left sandwich. At least I can say the service was nice. They apologized and this deserved 3 stars. Honestly I will maybe come back if my friends insist. But I cannot say I was astonished by the food!

Second time I came here after a hike. The vanilla latte with the cookie on top was amazing. We got a couple sandwiches here that we all kind of shared a bit. I had the roasted veggie which was amazing! I also had a half a sandwhich of the salmon sandwich! Amazing. Décor: very hipster notes: metered parking. Sometimes parking in the back. This place can get very busy on the weekend, try go during the week days. Outdoor seating in the back and front, also inside.

LOVE. EAT. SMILE. indeed. Definitely a great post-hiking choice as Griffith park is only a few miles away. Ambiance: quaint, casual and hipster. Beautiful outdoors setting also! It’s a café of amazing fresh food and great coffee… And I’m not even a Coffee person. Seating: self seating. Can accommodate for a big group outside depending on how busy it is. Parking: I believe they have a parking lot in the back, but for some reason it was closed when we tried to park there. Meter parking in the front. There’s sometimes a line but it goes by quick. For some reason their credit card/debit card machine works really slow and takes a few extra seconds to process, so if you’re in a rush, definitely use cash… If it’s not a big deal they just kindly ask if they can get the next party started… Afterall, you’re just signing. Not a big deal. Staff is so helpful while ordering. They’ll tell you their faves. I got the chicken avocado with cheese on the side. And had the quinoa salad. Also had a bite of the chicken blt. Both tasted amazing. Gluten free bread available. CHICKENAVOCADO: Crispy sandwich bread. Creamy avocado sauce. Sun dried tomatoes, my favorite! Quinoa salad: sweeter than I anticipated. I was expecting a more sour taste than sweet but still tasty.(6 oz. Side available to at yo your meal for $ 3.50) Vanilla late with almond milk: probably the best coffees I’ve had. If you like your coffee sweet it’s so good. And it comes with a little Madeline cookie! So so good!

The food is great. The location is great. Stuff your face then walk around like a zombie in target for the rest of the day buying unnecessary items, pondering where it all went wrong in your life and realizing you spend the little time you have when you aren’t working on things like«brunch».

For a place that focuses on healthy eats, there is only 1 vegan sandwich. ANDTHEYWEREOUT. You would think that a place that specializes in sandwiches would be able to put together more than 1 vegan option. But alas, aside from the lack of vegan sandwich options, there is only 1 vegan-friendly bread and they were out for the night. So I opted for the only other vegan option-a salad. I bought a salad trio for $ 14. Really, nowhere else can you buy 3 miniature sides of salad for $ 14. It’s price inflation at its finest. Granted the salads were super super tasty(like super), but come on. You can also buy $ 9.50 juices from the fridge(not kidding. Lemonades start at $ 4.50). You can also request a cup of water because they don’t refill their water jug, but then never get that cup of water anyway because they forget. And you can totally enjoy the outdoor patio where you can enjoy the sweet natural sounds of ROARINGRAGINGMOTORCYCLISTS who are going in and out of the bike shop next door. But really though. They were damn tasty salads. Get the fennel salad-SO GOOD. They pair it with green apples which works beautifully. I also got the Cous cous salad(looks like lentils. the cashier looked offended when I called it that. It looked like lentils!). This is also a tasty option. Last, I got the wild rice salad. Still really yummy, but my least favorite of the 3. And they give out 10% discount if you check in on Unilocal,so you can put a dent in that $ 30 salad meal. Go for the great tasting food. Not for a good deal or quiet outdoor environment!

What this place lacks in service it kind almost makes up for in being cute. We arrived close to 3 pm on a Sunday and it was a little busy but nothing to be freaking out about. The girl taking our order was very stressed. We ordered the vegan sandwich which was supposed to come with hummus but after paying I was told that they were out. No big deal I get it you run out of food if you’re busy. Then I start to walk away and you could hear they cook yelling at the register girl that they were out of the bread for my sandwich. Just because I can’t see you doesn’t mean I can’t hear you yelling at each other. Poor flustered register girl couldn’t figure out what bread that is left would be vegan and asked for help. I was informed I only had one choice or paying $ 2 to upgrade. Really after all this you couldn’t offer the $ 2 upgrade to a different bread? So it was a cute little place, but maybe come here when they first open so they have everything and they aren’t stressed out.

Moldy fruit :-( Really bummed about our most recent experience at Food Lab. The raspberries were moldy. Very obviously moldy. And not just one, all of them. I showed it to the guy behind the counter and asked if they could make a new waffle with no berries on it. He said yes, then told the staff to check the other raspberries. The problem here, beyond the gross berries, is he brought us back THESAME waffle!!! He said«we threw out the batch of bad raspberries and got a fresh batch out so I just had them pick off the bad raspberries from the waffle and put new ones on.» Are you serious? So the same waffle… The same strawberries… The same black berries… That all touched the moldy raspberries… And you bring them all back out with«new» raspberries I specifically asked to not be on there? And insult to injury, now the waffle is cold. I will never be able to get my boyfriend to come back here after this. And frankly I couldn’t eat my food :-(:-(giving a 2 star instead of one because I have had a good experience here before.

Okay, I just finished lunch here and I already want to go back. I had the grilled chicken, Gouda, and sun dried tomato ciabatta sandwich with a side of garlic and roasted almond kale salad. Every bite was amazing ! The bread isn’t so thick where it takes away from the filling. And that Gouda, amazing smoky flavor. Honestly this place is a steal for the quality. I really enjoyed the food and the service was super friendly.

Foodlab is definitely good when it’s in walking distance/convenient for you to get to, but I don’t see myself driving out of the way to come here or «craving» it at all so to say. I had the chicken arugula salad(good, but nothing special) and my boyfriend had the curried chicken with lingonberry chutney(nothing special). I did love that they had outside seating in the front and back of the restaurant. They’re located right on Santa Monica, so it’s a great place to grab some sun and watch the busy streets during lunch. I know working in West Hollywood means that lunch on average is about $ 15 per person, but it wasn’t worth it here in my opinion.

Cute neighborhood spot for healthy(ish) food. They’re all about the grab-a-number-and-sit-down concept which I dig, and have a super nice outside patio. I’ve only ever ordered sandwiches and iced coffee from here because I suffer from being(mostly) a creature of habit, but everything has been great so far. A little on the pricey side for what it is, but when the urge to splurge gets the best of me I love coming here.

This place is a joke if you want a tasty lunch. Their salads are bland and boring and the sandwiches are like something your mom threw together last minute when you were in preschool. The coffee is scalded and probably something you would get at a diner. Spending 25 dollars on something I was not in the least satisfied with was very disappointing. I give 2 stars because the girl behind the counter was very sweet. If you’re looking for something healthy and affordable or at least with a taste, go elsewhere.

Yum! Visiting LA I was staying nearby and this was my go to place for tasty sandwiches. I had their schnitzel(so fatty and delicious) and their argentine steak with chimichurri(also delicious and cooked well.) The lemonades they had were okay– nothing to write home about. Its all about the food here. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring the food to you. They have an adorable seating area in the back you should definitely check out! Also, make sure to use their Unilocal promotion. Def recommend!

Went there during lunchtime. There’s a line, which is of course understandable. It’s my time to order and the barista is extremely rude. We all have bad days and I worked in food service for years so I know it’s not easy, but that doesn’t give her — or anyone — the right to take it out on others. Especially not on a CUSTOMER who’s being very polite. The food and beverage are overrated, nothing special, and overpriced; added to the horrible service, I won’t be coming back.

Turkey Brie sandwish was pretty awesome but the cheese was not very warm, would have been nice. Otherwise very flavorful. The service was pretty slow. Smokers sitting up front kind of killed the vibe as you walk in. Will be back when in area though — food is good.

Anyone who knows me is aware that I am NOT a fan of healthy food. I always go after the flavor and the convenience, rather than the health factor(I’m also allergic to most fruits, vegetables and nuts so even when I do want to eat something healthy, I’m usually unable to). So FOODLAB West Hollywood’s declaration of «organic, natural, farm raised, nitrate and hormone free cuisine» did not exactly appeal to me. However, a fellow blogger I took to lunch for work purposes invited me here, and I gave it a try. I mean, I’ll go anywhere that serves a caprese sandwich, and especially anywhere that is so considerate to us allergy-ridden people as to serve PINENUT-FREEPESTO. OMG. Win. ‘ This place ended up being really good! The ingredients were high-quality, which was no surprise. But I also really liked the laid-back café/bakery/coffee shop atmosphere and the friendly service. There’s a small patio in front but a much larger patio in back that is shaded with trees and flowers. It’s a really neat place to enjoy a meal! I wasn’t a fan of the super-healthy grain wheat bread, as it was very rough and rubbery and just doesn’t mesh well with caprese(which is best served with ciabatta or sourdough bread). But I would definitely get it again on a different kind of bread. I’d also try a number of the other vegetarian options, like the organic cage-free egg salad, the vegan hummus sandwich or the grilled cheese. All in all, a pleasant dining experience with ample meters right in front. Check it out when you’re in West Hollywood!

Delicious! I had their roasted veggie salad with French goat cheese. It was such a refreshing and filling salad. All the components melded together perfectly! Just what I was hoping for on a sunny saturday afternoon! They offer infused water for no charge. There is adorable patio seating, and all the employees are very friendly. The girl at the register was especially nice. I didn’t catch her name, but she was great and has a really nice smile. I will be back, I plan on bringing my BFF next Saturday after barre. Now I know there is 10% off when you check in on Unilocal.I plan to utilize this on my next visit! Nice work Food Lab!

The smoked salmon sandwich was delicious! From the soft freshly baked wheat bread to the light crème fraîche spread and the thinly sliced cucumbers, everything paired perfectly with the tender smoked salmon. For drinks, I ordered the blueberry lemonade. So refreshing on a hot day! There are some sitting indoors as well as a small patio in the back. The latter is quaint and relaxing. I eyed quite a few yummie cupcakes and small cakes in the glass counter… I’ll be back soon to try them!

Cute little place for lunch/breakfast! TIP: 10% off when you check in on Unilocal! PARKING: Neighborhood streets or metered parking Ordered the turkey & brie sandwich on wheat(you can switch out the bread to something else if you want) + side potato salad for an extra $ 2.50. Bread was crispy and the actual sandwich part rocked! Great refreshing drink/juice options along with coffee. Would recommend to anybody looking to get a yummy sandwich or salad in the area. Only downside is it is a bit pricey and the place was SWARMING with flies the entire time my friend were eating!

Everything here is excellent, I love their staff since they’re very friendly. They have no problem substituting certain things in their prepared salads. I like to substitute goat cheese for blue cheese in my Cobb salad. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and plentiful. This is the type of place I think of when I think of Los Angeles cafés. They have some prepared items in their deli fridge but a lot of them are way overpriced like the kombucha(almost $ 8 vs $ 5 at supermarket) and their jars of pickles. They have some fresh baked goods sourced from local bakeries nearby, which all look amazing. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Neighborhood joint that serves up some tasty breakfast and lunch options. There’s a really cute patio in the back where it’s very dog friendly and a perfect hideout for a quiet meal. I’ve had alot of different things from the menu, but I usually just get the trio of salad samplers and a sandwich. Recently I had the chicken club with bacon and avocado which was served on a fresh ciabotta bread. It was delicious. The servers are really pleasant and friendly. They bring you your order and will clean up your table afterwards. Don’t forget to leave a tip! They close early so make sure you note the hours!

Cute little sandwich and coffee shop, but very mediocre food and overpriced. Parking: metered parking. Don’t even bother with the 2 or 3 spots of parking that’s available in the back. Seating: front outdoor seating, inside seating, tiny patio out in the back. This place is not good for big parties as the tables can accommodate 1 – 3 at most. Food: Tuna salad sandwich.(0⁄5) Can we say SALTY?! Wow, after the first bite, there was no way I was going to take another bite. In fact, it was so salty, we ordered something else. They were nice enough to accommodate. Egg salad sandwich.(3⁄5) Much better than the tuna sandwich, yet still quite average. I, however, liked the bread. Chicken BLT sandwich(3⁄5) The tastiest of all the sandwiches, but it was something I could easily make at home. Had minimal amounts of tomatoes and arugula, and the bread was stale. Not worth the price. Would I return: No.

Before today, I would have happily given Foodlab at least 4 stars. I ordered a simple breakfast sandwich togo from them about a month ago. They were out of croissants so I ordered a multigrain bread instead. The sandwich was actually quite large(multiple layers of ham and gooey gruyère) and just delicious. I was craving the same again today and after drooling at past Unilocal photos, I decided to get the croissant this time(assuming they weren’t out again). Well I ordered it and not only was it the smallest sandwich EVER but it was just all around disappointing. The croissant also looked like the last piece of the bag/box that is normally supposed to be thrown out or something. It was hard, cold, and just gross. There was probably half a piece of gruyère in it and it was cold when I had picked it up less than 5 minutes after the call. like wtf? this sandwich was half the size of my TINY hand. Looked nothing like the Unilocal photos. Idk if they have recently changed up their menu to become this way but it is not looking good.

Cute salad/sandwich location! I parked on the street because they only allocate two parking spots in the lot they have in the back. Although parking was a bit of a struggle, there food was pretty good! Food: –Curry Chicken sandwich with pesto salad: The curry chicken sandwich was awesome! In my opinion it was better than Urth Caffe’s curry chicken. Pesto salad was a bit to cheesy for me and couldn’t finish it. –Veggie Sandwich w/o cheese: This sandwich is my favorite. It normally comes with roasted vegetables, cheese, and pesto enclosed between 2 huge pieces of toasted 8-grain bread(I got mine without cheese because I am not a fan of cheese). water is self serve. there is indoor and outdoor seating with a cute ambiance. They also have a delicious display of sweets, which I didn’t get to try myself. Overall, pretty decent place for lunch and will be revisiting more often.
