We ordered a picnic lunch here and it was beyond amazing! Everything from the cheese plate, roast beef sandwiches, salads, grilled chicken and pumpkin cheesecake was spectacular. They will be our new go-to spot going forward!

We got the avocado toast and ricotta prosciutto toast and potato salad(and a free Unilocal check in basil limeaid to boot!) and everything was delicious. The limeaid was not too sweet but very flavorful and the potato salad was fresh, light and had purple potato varieties. Very good all around

This is such a great place to pick up healthy eating. I understand their main business is catering. If the food is anything like the take out, YOUMUSTUSE them for your next event.

Incredible quick lunch spot. Delicious and fresh… gourmet style sandwiches and salads. Quiche was great, too. The service is so friendly… Will definitely be back!

I’ve been here so many times in the past year… can’t believe it has taken this long to share the love. And we do LOVE Grocerie. Where do I start? Intelligensia Coffee is amazing, The Coledorf Salad has become a dietary staple. My 7 year old invariably finds something sweet, and reasonably healthy. Hubby loves any kind of lamb that comes out of the kitchen. The fried chicken and ribs, rival anything in that department ANYWHERE! The cold bar is a daily surprise… always new and inventive. And to top all the place just feels good. The staff are warm, the owner is incredibly helpful and is clearly passionate about what she has created. Love Love Love.

I stopped in this place while on my way home from work. It was small but nice and clean. However the Australian lady behind the counter was very rude in response to my questions about the ingredients in her food. I will never come here again, I didn’t feel welcome at all.

Where are you going to get a nice lunch on this stretch of La Brea? Here only here. Fresh sandwiches, salads and soups. Small, cute. Like little koans on third

No bathroom. I was gonna eat here but I was desperately needing to pee so I had to leave. They just missed out on business because they won’t let people use their bathroom. Ridiculous.

Food Ink catered our October wedding at Marvimon and I’d give them 10 stars if I could. The food was scrumptious, and the level of service was impeccable. Kate is perfectly awesome to work with — straight-forward, funny, and most importantly, so buttoned-up and organized. She threw in all sorts of extra special little touches and our guests continue to compliment us on how delicious the food was. Heirloom tomato & goat cheese tart tartins! Fried chicken & waffles! Roasted branzino with caperberries! Herb & mustard-encrusted beef tenderloin! And the desserts. .. WOW. Food Ink is worth every penny and we are so thrilled we got to work with them.

Fresh, delicious food in a surprising/odd location. Friendly service, decent prices for the quality. Excellent desserts. I had a panini. Companion had a salad with(cold) pasta. Both seemed very carefully planned and well thought out and were delicious.

This is a sweet little hidden gem in a part of town that needs more great places. If you are ever near Highland and LaBrea and your stomach is growling, you can pick up a perfect lunch from a great caterer. Fresh food fills the cases and smiling faces abound. Perfect roast beef too! I have worked with their catering company too and they provide seamless service that is reflected in the modern esthetic of the Grocerie. Really creative food with a staff that guesses your every need. Kate, Karla, Sarah and the team will feed you when you need it most!

One word: YUMMY! Many words: This café is a GEM and one of the few non-fast food joints in my neighborhood. The quality of the food is outstanding — fresh, seasonal, flavorful, and artisan. The«grocerie» side is a small, modern-ecclectic café with a super friendly team, curated selection of cookwear, gifts, & fancy ingrediants, and a never ending pot of Intelligentsia coffee. I often come here for lunch and leave with dinner to go. They also have gourmet picnic bags to order which I can’t wait to take on a Hollywood Forever movie night. The main hub/company is FoodInk Catering. As soon as I have a special event to plan, I’m calling Kate and Jonathan immediately. They’re awesome!

Since I don’t live in the local area, I haven’t had a chance to try Grocerie yet, but today I got the opportunity and damn it was delicious. For lunch I took a roast beef + mustard + aioli +arugula + heirloom tomato sandwich on a baguette to go. You can’t walk in and get this kind of sandwich just anywhere. I brought home a serving of ‘Pea & Pancetta Orecchiette’ to warm up and share with my wife for dinner. It was seriously one of the best pasta dishes we can remember since our honeymoon in Italy. I live in Long Beach and work in Torrance, but I may drive all the way back just to buy some more. If you live or work in the area, do yourself a favor and try Grocerie.

One star for Check-in freebie, basil lemonade. It’s good. I think it’s better than Lemonade. Sorry Lemonade:( Got so many stuff from here, macaroons are decent, one more star for blood orange tart, steak salad, baked baked chicken. One more star for Asian Salad. One star for Intelligentsia coffee. One star for outstanding service at the counter/manager person.

It was really yummy, while a little pricey. However, good quality ingredients cost money so I totally understand and will be back. The Basil Lemonade was delish! Awesome for vodka cocktails, wink! ;) The salad with goat cheese and beets was OMG. And all the cookies are delish. Macaron were meh, no competition to Bottega Louie. Very nice staff and such a cute space! Love all the little knick knacks you can buy.

Stopped by here with the husband and our dog a few Saturdays ago because we were excited to see a new place open up walking distance from us(there’s not a lot right there on that stretch of La Brea). We were happily greeted by the shop owner, Kate. Kate walked us through the menu, which all looked delicious, suggested some things and before we knew it, we had purchased lunch and dinner for later. Light lunch was great — I had a chicken breast and husband had blackened salmon and we split a waldorf salad. Chicken and salmon were great(and I don’t like salmon) and the salad is my new favorite thing. I’m obsessed! Oh and we also got 2 mac and cheese bites which were also heavenly! For dinner we purchased a pepperoni pizza pack that we cooked on the grill later that night. That turned out really nicely(see the photo I uploaded of before and after). All that and they were super friendly and welcoming to our dog. Can’t wait to go back!

Just amazing. I bought the Gilt City Artisinal Picnic Bag for a night out at Cinespia with my fiancé and his cousin. The basil infused limeade was so delicious, especially mixed with citron vodka. The cheese and charcuterie plate was enough for 6 people, easily. We filled up on cheese so much we almost forgot about the giant arugula and melon salad, massive portion of orzo pasta salad, and the perfectly cooked flank steak. And on top of all that, there were citrus crème brûlée tarts and tirimisu in tiny mason jars. The movie-goers sitting around us kept asking where we got all that gorgeous food. It was the best money I’d ever spent on picnic food, hands down, and they will be my first choice for picnic dining from now on. Super friendly staff as well.
