I like their fries and salad. They’re delicious and tasty, but I’m not so satisfied with their service. One of their crew didn’t take my order properly.

Found the receipt! We ate here 9÷2÷15 1 x Haus Club — Truffle Fries — No Bacon(that be me not him lol) 1 x South Central Fries 1 x CABLT –Salad 1 x Coke Bottle 1 x Lemonade of the day I think we called either Christmas eve or Christmas day and this was out of desperation… No luck. We live far and traffic is just too much to drive all the way down there. Once in a blue moon the plants will align again and will go back. My boyfriend still says«lets go get south central fried“lol

Holy crap, this place is great! Yummy sandwiches, burgers, and fresh juices. I really enjoyed the CABLT — garlic aioli made it special. Yummy side salad as well, a pretty big portion. Friendly service too, and outdoor seating which is a plus.

Seeing that this place is adjacent to the courthouse, a college campus and a random part of downtown Los Angeles. It has some very weird pricing going on. But hey I thought that the food might actually match those prices, I was kinda wrong. It is way over priced for something that is done so simple and takes 30 minutes to get. The workers were nice and I did enjoy their ranch dressing. If I return I do intend to try their fries that did look amazing from afar.

Ordered the Uptown Swiss & it was in the top 5 or the actual best burger I’ve ever had. I was craving something with an egg and asked if there were any burgers with one & one of the owners(who was honestly the most welcoming person ever) said he’d add any to whatever I ordered free of charge. The truffle fries are amazing too, I’m personally a fan of crispy thin fries and it definitely hit the spot. I read some reviews about the food taking too long, but I didn’t think it wasn’t long at all. We both got burgers and it took maybe 20 minutes to come out? But both came out fresh and it makes total sense because I’d be suspicious if my food came out within like 5 minutes anyway. It’s a nice place to grab dinner with a friend and catch up, the place is gorgeous and they have amazing art work up too! The only thing is the place was hard to find if you’re not already familiar with the area, but nevertheless it’s worth driving around looking for it!

What can I say. I had high hopes for this place. I personally think the food here is over priced. My boyfriend and I ordered the steak torta. I don’t know how this is called a torta, if it was made in a cibatta roll. The sandwich was tiny and thin. We shared a order of 3LA tacos, which where extremely greasy. I was trying to see where was the oil coming from. I’m not exaggerating, when I say the were leaking heaps of oil. I would of have not expected that from flour tortillas tacos. The service is meh. The place was empty and they took more than 30 mins to serve our food.

Who’s Haus is this… and can I come in and eat! Food Haus café is a small restaurant in South LA packed with a lot of flavor. When I first pulled up I was worried, because from the outside this place looked a little sketchy. They say don’t judge a book by its cover, and that was definitely the case here. This café had a lot of character and a cute ambience. You could see it in their wall art, the fresh flowers on the tables, the mason jars with the cute striped straws or the catchy menu items. Most of all, the awesome people inside! We arrived on a Friday night at 7 pm and I had just missed breakfast. Ok seriously breakfast is served from 8 to 11AM and I was bummed because I have a thing for breakfast foods at dinner time. When we walked in it wasn’t very busy so I asked if they be willing to make breakfast for me, I figured the worst they could say was no, right? It must have been my lucky night because they made me a breakfast burrito, how awesome was that! Not just any old breakfast burrito but they made it with egg whites, turkey meat and instead of doing the regular country potatoes they gave me truffle fries. They allowed me to modify exactly what I wanted. The icing on the cake was they were so nice and the food tasted so good! The Truffle Fries were definitely exceptional, but if you’re worried about them being oily or greasy then you should probably skip them. I don’t usually like fries but these were worth the calories. Their burgers, pizza, salads, and soups all look delicious and I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of their food. When we were ordering my friend showed us a Groupon they had for this place so we bought two Groupon’s for four of us and we saved half the price of both of our meals. Even without the Groupon their prices are very reasonable. We even had extra money left over so my friend got a lemonade and they gave me a free one! The lemonade was delicious like everything else. We wanted to go somewhere else for dessert but I couldn’t help myself and I ended up getting a cakeball. The lady was nice and gave us a few extra since there was four of us. I was trying to save the cake pop until I made it home but it didn’t make it…

Torta was good! Fries were pretty standard but stayed crunchy which was nice. Desserts were great, just kinda heavy. Only thing is they took forever to cook the food. I mean I appreciate the attention to detail and quality and all. but 25 mins for a sandwich and fries? Dunno bout all that!

Best burgers in South Los Angeles. The atmosphere is pretty chill and even though is a bit pricey it’s worth every penny. Never felt so guilt free after eating a burger. Every order is made as you order so be prepare to wait for your food. Again, worth the time and money.

Everything that came to our table was awesome. A bit of a wait but the line was out the door. South central fries, mini quesadillas, and blackened chicken sandwich all came to our table. Great stuff. The fries are enough for two to split for lunch. Next time I will ask for the south central fries with all the toppings but half the fries and double jalepenos.

Ordered via the eat24 app. The café called to apologize that the driver reported the food being cold due to heavy traffic and to refund my order, I agreed to take it anyway. The food was not cold(by my standards at least) and I got a free truffle fries for the troubles. The food is amazing as usual.

So today I had class from 9:00am-12:30pm. After class I decided to find something to eat in the area. I’m originally from the valley so finding new places to eat in the city and by my school is pretty cool to me. So anyway, I Unilocaled food around my location and found this little gem just right down the street. So I called and placed a food order. I asked what kind of chicken sandwiches they had since I do not eat red meat. The lady recommended the Blacklisted burger. I had it with everything except bacon. The food takes time to get to you since they make it by order. So I’m standing there for like 20 min waiting for my food in this super cute little place. The environment is nice there’s places to eat inside or outside on the street. So I’m like well see if this is any good. Wow! I mean. The portions are generous and the food is awesome. I was like how much more can I enjoy food and how good could this sandwich really be. But it was… It was amazing!!! The fries too. I got the orange sauce they use(idk if it’s chipotle or what) and Haus bbq sauce. I’m about to bring my family here so they can experience this!

Nice spot! Decent amount of street parking around and seating inside~ I only tried the torta with a salad and iced coffee which was all good! But I definitely want to come back and try the other items like the truffle fries, burgers, bfast items, and the lemonade!

Got: Afterhour Torta & Blacklist Sandwich + haus salad or truffle fries(additional $ 1) At 11 o’clock, it was empty which was pretty surprising, but we decided to give it a try anyways. Was craving some steak but the torta didn’t quite deliver that. It came with a couple of steak slices, some lettuce, tomatoes, and some alright bread. The blacklist sandwich(chicken sandwich) had a bit of an edge over the torta. They were pretty accommodating in that they switched out the cheddar for mozzarella per request. It came with avocado, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Be ready to pay $ 15 dollars for a burger(sadly, probably not worth it). They must also really like ABBA because that’s all that was playing. Mamma Mia, all the way! Tips: –Don’t order anything off the breakfast menu after 11AM, they will not serve it(even if its a couple minutes after) –Only street parking(meters; 50 cents per hour after 11AM, $ 2 before 11AM) or a valet parking for $ 6/day

BESTTRUFFLEFRIESEVER. Haus Club — smoked turkey, bacon, roasted garlic aioli, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado(12) I thought this would taste like a standard club, but it blew my expectations! Everything was delicious! The roasted garlic aioli is amazing. Truffle Fries(7) — I have found my new favorite fries. Super crispy and aromatic. Love it! Although everything was great, I knew it had to be high in calories. After only a few bites, all my friends complained it was too greasy. Still, the food is tasty!

Went to LA for the California Science Center and wanted somewhere good to eat so went here for me and my friends first time. We both got blacklisted and upgraded to haus fries and got a drink. I got the lemonade and he got an Arnold Palmer(iced tea mixed w the lemonade of the day.) Price is a little too expensive for both of us it was about $ 35. The sandwich was really good and the fries were they are super skinny! The chipotle sauce is good also! The interior is very cool! Neat little place to eat at!

The outside looks like… not much. BUTTHEINSIDEISWHEREFRIESGETMADE. So I’ve been here a couple times, but I really must stress the amazing fries. TRUFFLEFRIES. Get em. They’re like… $ 8? Something like that, but it’s pretty big and even if you just order it by itself I doubt you can finish. It’s good for sharing. At least 2 people but 3 – 4 recommend. Crispy, kinda thin, truffly, and comes with this slightly spicy AMAZING aioli. Also tried this melt, called the gela. It was good, got tomatoes and some… I forgot what kinda cheese but it was distinct lol. Quite good but I think I prefer a regular grilled cheese. UMMMM comes with a side salad which was also alright. I would rather have a meal of those fries. I am really excited to try more items on their menu. I will definitely come back~ If not for those other items then DEFINITELY for those truffle fries.

Came here for breakfast. Most reviews I’ve read are for lunch so maybe that’s why I rated it lower than most. We had the Five Oh breakfast sandwich and the I Run LA omelette. Both came with breakfast potatoes which were pretty decent. The sandwich was good and the omelette was decent. I’ll have to come back for lunch but would rather have breakfast elsewhere.

A real hats off to the owner and the staff; the food was delicious. We had the truffle fries, MPC and the Boat Chef’s Choice. Also some delicious fresh juices. The location is random but as a Downtowner we have choices and it’s cool to go where the«hip» crowds aren’t. Remember the Art’s District in 2008?

Fantastic! South Central Los Angeles keep surprising me in many ways — Food Haus Café for example! who would’ve thunk that in this busy, manufacturing side of LA this awesomeness of a shop exists! The place is situated in between Olive & Hill, this small shop has a menu jam-packed in delicious options! From Sandwiches to Burgers, Soups & Salads, the options are just amazing! The Truffle fries are really yummy, served with a generous amount of grated Parmesan that slowly melted on the hot fries and the Chipotle Aioli — O.M.G.soooo good!!! If you like chicken wings, you MUST try the Laos wings, this flavorful chicken wings in sweet garlic chili sauce is the bomb! I could seriously devour 2 servings of this. Delish! I was seriously torn between the Blacklisted Sandwich and The Bleu Burger, in the end, I ordered the Bleu Burger — which I have to say was an excellent decision, this juicy and flavorful grass fed beef patty was TDF!(to die for) ordered medium rare, served with bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, mushrooms, jalapeño slices, pickles, arugula and Tempura Onion rings!!! Lordie, this burger is piled high in amazing deliciousness!!! definitely A MUST! I was told that the Uptown Swiss Burger is a serious contender in juiciness and flavor — I guess that’s next in my list for me to try! Overall, this gourmet burger/sandwich spot is a sure thing to try if you happen to be in the area, the food is great, the atmosphere — definitely laid-back, service could use a bit of tweaking and could be a bit quicker but heck, with burgers like what Food Haus serves, I really don’t mind being a bit late back to work! Enjoy!

Food and service was really good. This place would’ve been a five star for me had it not been for THEFLIES. How many flies does it take to make me annoyed. Idk but there were 10+ flies just swarming towards our meal. Had the food been bad, my friends and I would’ve left the place immediately. I just dont understand why there were so many little flies though! Got the bleu burger with truffle fries and it was absolutely amazing. Think of an umami burger size burger with bleu cheese and bacon and yumminess. Truffle fries are a little extra so my meal wasn’t the cheapest it could’ve been but it was worth the try. Next time though, I might just stick with the regular fries. My friend got the side salad which comes for free if you don’t get fries and was the busiest swatting flies. Perhaps flies liked the salad most. The lemonade they had that day was strawberry and pineapple and was SOGOOD. You can try a sample in one of their cups too and it’s a pretty sizable sample cup. Also, best of all, free refills!!!

Chose this spot bc all of the reviews. We wanted breakfast and they stopped serving at 11 on a Sunday. I asked about brunch items, they had none even though it’s labeled as a breakfast/brunch spot. Interior is semi-cool but nothing amazing. I settled for the fruit plate. The oranges looked like it was picked off the floor from a food fight and the pineapple had a weird aftertaste to it. Almost like whoever cut it didn’t wash their hands. I know can’t judge an entire place because of its fruit selection. I’d give this spot another chance with their lunch/breakfast items. The photos looked great and my friend’s fries were pretty spot on.

So, my office colleagues and I have been to Food Haus twice now, once eating out as a group and once to pick up lunch for everyone in the office. Both times, Food Haus has delivered really great lunch food and drinks. Our last order, for about 10 people, was gigantic and despite problems with their oven, they were helpful in accommodating such a large order. It was ready a little bit later than promised, true, but they threw in some desserts which was great. Here are the hits: Flatbread: They offer several different kinds, including my favorite pesto, and they’re all delicious! Truffle fries: I didn’t have any but everyone who did loves them. Lemonade: very flavorful and refreshing. Salads and sandwiches: a wide variety and everyone seemed to like them. Service can be slow during lunch time. Call ahead well in advance if you want to pick up your order!

WOW!!! Can I give this place ten stars? I’ve been here two times, first time on our trip from St. Louis I ran across this place on Groupon. I looked it up and it looked amazing so I had to try it. Idk why I didn’t write s review the first time but either way this place is AMAZING. The food does take a few mins longer than most places to get BUT who cares it’s well worth it. It’s all fresh and made to order. I will wait longer any day and get fresh delicious food. I read some reviews and I saw people complaining about the price here. Honestly, for the quality of the food and freshness this is really cheap. The portions are big, everything is local and most importantly it all tastes amazing. You are paying for quality not quantity. The first time here we order a flat bread pizza and the blue burger. Both were amazing. Local grass fed burger cooked to perfection with delicious truffle fries!!! We flew in and we were staying close to LB, we made sure we made it there during our trip. The second time around we ordered South Central fries with the NY Strip Torta and Burger 24. Honestly, this had to be one of the best meals ever. The black bean spread on the Torta with avocados and aioli was amazing the the NY Strip. Words cannot describe how delicious it was. South Central Fries — BESTINLA!!! Iv been to around 25 – 30 trucks in LA trying to find the best carna asada fries but nothing even comes close to theirs. Hand down one of the best things you have to eat in LA. Burger 24 — my wife ordered that and that was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender with fresh condiments. Easiest way to put it… PERFECTION!!! We met Chef Steven both times, super nice guy. He even made my kids chicken tenders even though it’s not on the menu. Now I know there are going to be haters who say big deal or there is chicken on the menu it didn’t take much for him to do but it’s the thought that counts. The cup isn’t half way empty, it’s half way full :-) Not to mention, they were excellent. My son and daughter(4&2) ate the entire meal without me asking them to eat their dinner!!!
