The food is ok, not the best pupusas ever, just ok… If u must, I suggest order and pick up as quick as can, I f’d up and dined in, the place got held up by two gun men, and my life flashed before my eyes… The mesera tried to comfort me and said not to worry it happens to them all the time, f that! To go please!

Soy Salvadoreño y he vivido la mayor parte de mi vida en El Salvador y cuando les digo que esta pupuseria es la que mas se parece a las pupusas de mi país es porque es increible. El servicio excelente y la gente muy amable. Muchas gracias –Jorge

This place is a hidden gem in my neighborhood. I live 6 blocks from here and I’m just discovering this great place! Absolutely the BEST Papusas I’ve ever had. They’re cheesy and generous with it! The price for 1 is $ 2.20 and very worth it. Call ahead of time or you can go in and order and wait about 15 minutes. Either way is all good.

Horrible experience… We ordered a hour in advance. When we get there it turns out that they gave our order to somebody else on purpose. We order in advance so we don’t have to wait a long time because this place is small and not in a great neighborhood… I’m REALLY angry at them for not being professional and not respecting peoples order… I WILLNEVER return this place…

Excellent pupusas and best horchatas I’ve ever had! I think I’m a well qualified critic on this one. My parents are Salvi and I’ve been there several times and I’ve visited this restaurant several times as well. These pupusas take the cake, their packed with pork(chicharron) and cheese. Their curtido and red sauce just add the already great tasting pupusas. Their food and horchatas is always consistent. The Staff is always very nice. –take cash! I don’t think they accept cards as of yet.

Best pupusas by far!!! I tried others but this is the best… they have more selections than just pupusas but I only come here for the pupusas. I think they’re $ 2.10 each. around that price. the lady’s are nice as well

great pupusas! the ladies are not at all stingy with the cheese and I love them for it! I’ve recently given up consuming pork so I am forever grateful for their generosity. their curtido(not sure i’m spelling it right) and hot sauce on top is just… ooh.

Their prices have gone up since Jessica T’s review. All the prices had been blacked out on the board and new prices were taped over the old in their menus. For example, a pupusa is now 2 $ and a large horchata was 5 $!(It wasn’t even very good horchata sadly either. It tasted like pure nonfat milk but with a whole grip of cinnamon in it.) I was gonna get the plantains too but I didn’t bring enough for 6 dollar bananas. Which sucked cause I really wanted those plantains. But it was pretty funny cuz at first I really thought she was just upcharging me; sometimes places are like that to someone as green looking as I. Looks can be deceiving though bitchez! Anyway, she stood there figuring out the cost a long time but once I perused the menu I realized it wasn’t personal. The cheese and squash pupusa I ordered was pretty darn good and the cabbage was awesomeeee. The rest of the menu looked amazing oh me gee! Made me wish I’d brought more cash. Seating area is totally cute too with lovely little paintings of mountains and lakes on the walls. Not really the best«forever alone» eatery but I’d have a blast here for a date or with a friend. If I’m in the area again I’ll make sure I’m prepared for those plantains and grab up one of those delectible looking soups as well.(They really did look mindblowingly good) The wait is pretty long though, I gotta say, probably 20 minutes. I barely ordered anything too! Two ladies cooking and a full house. I don’t mind a long wait when I’m in good company but I was alone and hungry so it kinda sucked at the time. But just a little bit.

I definitely had big eyes when I came in here. After about an hour of driving through rush hour traffic on a misty/sprinkling Wednesday, I think I ordered too much for my stomach to handle… I had 2 pupusas, horchata, and plantains. I probably should have ordered 1 pupusa and then the rest. Silly me… Pupusas: cheesy deliciousnessssssss. I had the squash and cheese, and chicharron pupusas. I couldn’t tell the different, since it was all covered with cheesy goodness. I ate almost all of both… I left maybe 1⁄5 left… I should have just chomped it down like a champ. Horchata: yummmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I thought it was kind of a small cup for it, but it was perfect. Plantains: I never had them like this before. It was plantains with some sort of custard in the middle. It looked like a big fat potato. I enjoyed the plantain part(but that’s cause i LOVE plantains). The middle part… the custardy part… I couldn’t finish. I ended up scraping the plantain part and eating most of that. If the custardy part was maybe half of what it was, i could have downed the plantain… All in all, this place is pretty good. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. Although, I haven’t gone anywhere, where I DIDN’T enjoy the pupusas. And I’ve been to at least… 5 places in LA. All of which were great.

Soooooooooooooooo good! I’ve never had anything here but the pupusas, so I can’t vouch for anything else, but the pupsas are awesome. They’re $ 1.50 each and just two of them will fill up an adult. Add another $ 1.50 for a horchata and you’ve just eaten a freaking tasty meal for a grand total of $ 4.50. You’ve got a bunch of options, but the meat, beans and cheese one is my favorite, and the favorite of most people I bring here. The squash and cheese is my second choice. If you eat in they leave the pickled cabbage stuff on the table and you get to help yourself to as much of it as you want. If you order to-go they give you soup containers full of it. AWESOME. If you don’t feel like waiting you can call them up and they’ll have your food ready when you get there. I’ve always had great customer service from some super nice ladies.
