Flamingo Vintage is everything beautifully psychedelic & wonderful I could hope for in a vintage store. The entire place has a glorious cohesive aesthetic, and moreover has an artistic vision. The owner Candice is sweet, personable & lovely, along with her staff members(Monique was there & lovely, too!). And, as i would hope from a place that had an express aesthetic, Flamingo has a wonderfully curated quirk town dreamland of candy colored vintage combined with loverly modern. It reminded me of zines, riot grrls, kitschy dollhouse & John waters with But I’m a Cheerleader & David Bowie ice cream sundae on top. I left with an amazing glittery thing & felt connected, hopeful & inspired. Yes, go here!

What a tragedy. You see, the clothes and goods here are exceptionally good. We love having stores like this in our neighborhood they are unique and attractive. Unfortunately the lady that runs this place has the manners and customer service skills of a basking Iguana. That is to say, she is largely indifferent to anyone, but get too close and she might snap and scurry off. We have brought friends to the store, we’ve bought things here and every single time we’ve been made to feel like we were interrupting this woman’s posing. I understand there is a need to keep a sharp eye when your store is so close to skid row, but you really shouldn’t treat everyone like they are a crazy homeless person who might take a dump in your store.

I am not a «vintage» girl. At least, not yet. Give me another 10 years and you might be able to slap that title on me but not just yet. All joking aside, I’ve never been that girl that looks like I straight came out of Life Magazine. I like modern design, minimal and clean. Basically, I like things new. Whether in my home or on my back, you will RARELY see me with anything used, that is, unless it’s Mama K’s ol’ hand me down Chanel bags or The Man. I love the fact that downtown is now popping up with these lil specialty boutiques. Tho, I’d love to see more diversity in retail here, we all have to start somewhere, and Flamingo has started off running. A tiny lil shop off Spring that is full of color and all things charming. Each piece is meticulously hand picked. Browse through the store and you will find everything has something very unique and special about them. The first time I came in here, The Man and I were strolling around our neighborhood and casually walked in for a peek. I absolutely fell in love with a set of beautiful vintage champagne glasses. I picked one up and immediately, my pinky finger just stood straight up like I was in an Audrey Hepburn movie. SOLD! The 2nd time I was in here, The Man and I were strolling around our neighborhood… Wait… This looks all too familiar… BUT!!! It wasn’t stemware this time! I found an absolutely gorgeous tweed coat in near perfect condition. The details on this coat is something of a long lost craft. I had to have it. I told myself I couldn’t spend more than 200 bucks total, including tax. I looked at the tag and it was exactly priced at 2. I frowned a lil, teared a lil, and thought just maybe… I can get a lil discount. So I asked. The salesgirl politely called the owner and she knocked it down a bit to 180. Including tax, I got it for just under 2. SOLD! So, for a girl that doesn’t like most things used, this precious lil boutique got me to purchase 2 things on 2 separate occasions. Well played, Flamingo… Well played.

Super cute 50s to 80s vintage fashion! Great place for lady-like clothing(especially if you are a Zooey Deschanel fan) or even costumes for your next Mad Men party. I almost bought a yellow polka dot pencil skirt for $ 36 but had to refrain due to my recent spending habits. There are also cute home accessories that look like they were plucked out of a time machine.

I was all to happy to stumble upon Flamingo Vintage. The collection is small but complete, with everything from adorable dresses to housecoats. Everything I saw was in good to great condition. Prices were not cheap, but you definitely see the quality in every piece. Some vintage stores require you to hunt for those special items but not Flamingo, here every piece is super cute! Perhaps the best part is the owner, I think her name is Candice. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and was very helpful in my search for gloves. I would definitely recommend this store.

Went into this store looked around, loved what I saw, but wanted to check out the other boutiques around this store on the same street. Came back to this store because she had such unusual, great vintage clothing! Bought a beautiful yellow dress that love and had so many compliments on. I will be going back as much as I can. Great quality, prices are high but you are totally getting your money worth! The girl that was working that day was very friendly and helpful!

Flamingo Vintage may just be the most charming store I have ever been to. Not only is their store bright and refreshing, their merchandise is the cream of the crop in vintage finds. From clothing to housewares their items are charming, in great condition and reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong here.

The market is flooded with vintage stores and finds in LA but Flamingo was a breath of fresh air!!! Meticulously curated, each piece was a treasure waiting to find its new owner. A stand out piece was a glamourous black leather handbag with fur trim. There was a also a large selection of metallic, quilted, and fur trimmed coats in a variety of sizes and styles in perfect condition. Another one of my favorites was a blue and red plaid romper from the 50s! It is not cheap but very well priced for the quality of the items. The people who work there are extremely nice and fabulously dressed. I will certainly be going back!

A super cute vintage story with quality items that are in great condition. I came in yesterday and I really loved the selection. There are shirts, costs, pants, dresses, shoes, purses, and old-school kitchenware. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood. I’m looking forward to coming back to see what I can find.
