I’ve known Sydney for about 30 years now and bought from Fine Art Stretcher Bars that entire time, following them from LA to Santa Monica and back to LA. I prefer to stretch my own linen, so I buy the frames only. I’m a bit assertive with the canvas pliers so Sydney knows to give me extra braces! The frames are sturdy and guaranteed not to tweak – one time I finished a painting and then noticed a slight warp in the surface. I took the painting to FASB and they rebuilt the stretcher and restretched the painting for me free of charge and with no fuss. I feel very valued as a customer. FASB also supplies stretched canvases with a variety of grounds, wooden panels, etc. There are small ready-made canvases and panels on hand, otherwise stretchers are made to order. I highly recommend Fine Art Stretcher Bars to any artist who is serious about quality materials.

superb quality, hand-crafted stretcher bars: the framework that stretched canvas is hewn to. f.a.s.b. produces small– to very large-scale stretcher bars, custom & otherwise, for famous artists as well as unknowns. you can also buy pre-framed canvases in various sizes, as well as gesso’d panels, in square or rectangle. if you have a specific project, the owner will work with you to achieve the finest results. these bars are museum-quality in construction & materials. even an artist dabbler can create a work with presence using these products. keep in mind that if you are bringing in a painting to be stretched after you’ve painted it, you need about six inches on each side leeway to wrap around the bars. i have had some photographs [printed on canvas, courtesy DigitalPro Lab] mounted here, & they look impressive indeed.
