Cute place to sit and enjoy the day. Nice café with good service. The people helping us were super kind. Plenty are to sit and relax on your lunch.

Cute little place that’s super convenient! It’s right by school(FIDM) so I love going here for my lunch break. They have a nice outdoor seating area. Their paninis are amazing, they’re always so warm and melty — I recommend the Paris panini

They recently raised their prices so it’s not as good as good of a deal as before :(But still a decent option for their quick service and healthy-ish options.

I’m not a fan of the wraps but the fashion café has really good soup. The tomato soup is my favorite!

Best turkey pesto sandwich EVER! The workers are polite and kind as well. The blended coffees and pressed juice are so good also!

If you’re into airplane food, look no further! The coffee is decent though and better than freeze dried airplane coffee.

This place makes the best Panani’s with interesting and tasty ingredients. My favorite is the the Paris with green apples, brie and ham. They have a good menu. This place has competitive prices compared to the qualify you would have to pay for around the area. You can’t compare this place to the cheap fast food options around the area. You can call ahead to make an order… schweet!

Seriously tasty stuff. The salads and wraps are great — paninis are good too, but be prepared to wait a bit as they take a little longer. Usually they have 2 soups of the day. They’ve got smoothies, baked goods, and a large selection of drinks as well. Its the perfect quick lunch spot if you work or go to school nearby. Plus, its within Grand Hope Park, which is a great spot in DTLA, and the people who work there are very nice.

Food was pretty good. Way too expensive for the portion size. The workers hound you about your selection and making one quickly. I won’t be back! Next time wait for me to ask you a question, don’t keep blabbing about whats on the menu, I CANREAD!

This is a wonderful little café that offers a break from Ralphs, Panini Grill, Quiznos and Simply Salad. The prices here are very reasonable. Everything is made to order, the staff is great and the food is light and delicious. My favorites are the chicken ceasar salad, oriental chicken salad, havana panini and the berlin panini. Their half salads are just the right size for a sensible lunch. The staff is really friendly and do their best to get to know their regulars. I wish they weren’t so reliant on the FIDM students for business because they truly are a great place. Their hours revolve around the FIDM schedule so when the school is on break so is the café – which is a bummer for us office folks. Either way I love coming here to grab a bite and chat it up with the staff!

Great spot! Outside tables. Wi-Fi. Excellent food. Everyone is right about the food portions being huge. Definitely a great value. The owner is a great guy too. He will customize any order(he makes it himself right in front of you). It gets a little crazy in there when there is a line, but well worth the wait. I sat out here in the park, ate, and worked on my computer. Made for a great afternoon.

Overall: Small café with good food all around with fantastic prices! Avoid 11 am — 12 pm because that’s when all the FIDM kids get in line for lunch! Instead, call in to order and pick it up in order to avoid a lengthy wait! I’ve been coming here for years as a neighboring FIDM student. No, I am not one of those pretty girls in clickity-clackity heels who gets all dolled up to go to class but the complete opposite. I was one of those girls who have been sewing until 3 that same morning wanting to poke my eye out with the seam ripper as I continue to make the same mistake and only getting a chance to sleep during the train commute from orange county to los angeles. Good times! Anyways, the fashion café was where I went when I needed a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Harold has always been accommodating and added/subtracted/sided/toasted upon request! Major brownie points! Harold once made Pistachio baklavas that were delicious but unfortunately they were a seasonal item. I haven’t seen them since! Salads: I always get a half salad which is way too much for one sitting despite it is only half a salad! My favorite salad by far has been the southwestern BBQ salad. It is a perfect combination of crunchy, spicy, sweet, and bbq-ey. The fashion café used to marinate their salads with a lot of dressings but have cut back a year ago so I always have to tell them to extra-dress it. My boss loves the Chicken Gorganzola with a raspberry vinaigrette. Panini’s: My favorite panini’s have been the genoa(pesto, chicken, arugala, provolone) and the berlin(portobello, aoili, swiss) depending on whether I am in the mood for a light or creamy panini.

For the price you pay and the quality/quantity of the food you get, this has to be one of the best deals around downtown Los Angeles. I got a side salad and a huge carved turkey sandwich for 6 bucks. Not to mention, they were kind enough to substitute swiss for brie(my favorite type of cheese) on the sandwich. I believe sandwiches are my favorite type of food and this place was pretty amazing. It’s right next to FIDM, so you have the chance to check out some of the babes around(no creepster) and some not-so babes who only think they’re babes because they go to FIDM. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so what am I saying? Anyways, I digress, good sandwiches for cheap. It just takes a while because there’s only a couple of workers there and they make menu items one at a time. Just be patient because it’s good.

This place is great! They were able to make a special panini(my have — turkey, brie, and pesto) just for me that wasn’t on the menu! Good prices and they also have gelato here that I’d like to try eventually! Also they had a good variety of drinks for sale there — get the odwalla! Definitely recommend this place!

Great place to grab a work lunch especially if you are sick of subway. Their subs are only $ 5 and you can get a HUGE sandwich with your choice of bread, meats, veggies, and condiments– and toasted! The staff here are super nice and friendly, there is never a bad wait, because, hidden in the Hope Park among the FIDM buildings, it’s like a little secret spot. Plus they have Ciao Bello gelato! I had the green tea — so good and inexpensive!

I got tired of having Subway so I tried this place out. Also because a friend of mine loves their coffee here so my first time was actually with her. The first thing I tried from them was their ITALIANGELATO! Oh my. get lost Pinkberry, hello heaven! I believe the prices are: Small $ 2.75 Medium $ 3.25 Large $ 3.75 and trust me, the medium is enough to make you go into a food coma. It is delicious! The employees in here are oh so very friendly and always offer you a sample and not just one but ASMANY as you would like until you know what you want. Love love love this place for their gelato!!! I always get it at least once a week when I am on campus. Greek Salad $ 8+tax. A bit pricey but also VERY yummy when the lettuce is fresh! Panini $ 7+. GROSS!!! The bread is way too hard and it’s just not authentic Panini. I rather have a PB&J. Stick with the salads or gelato! Won’t disappoint :)

Located in the park in front of FIDM. I stopped by between classes and grabbed a side Caesar Salad. The dressing was yummy. On the downside they put the salad in what has got to be the smallest container I have ever seen. It was stuffed so full that it was overflowing. I wish they would have just put it in a larger container. The menu looks pretty extensive with paninis starting at $ 6.95, though the selection is limited. Nonetheless, Fashion Café promises sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. Oh and don’t forget they have Gellado which I plan on getting a few scoops of before the summer ends!
