Fair Cleaners

The worst cleaner ever! I went couple of time where work wasn’t good but not bad. The address was just convenient. But they ruined a jacket and now a dress of mine. This was a very fragile dress and they literally burned the fabric (satin) with the press! On top of it he tried to hide it behind my other clothes. But I was suspicious of his work so naturally checked it on the spot. He then said it wasn’t him and lied! And didn’t offer anything. I not only will never go back but will let people knows how bad this business is and the service is even worst! Do not bring expensive clothes or anything worth more than $ 20!!!

The Korean guy who owns this place is so friendly. You gotta open him up a little, but he’s really nice once you get him talking!
They do alterations here for a bargain and I haven’t had any dry cleaning problems. I love the convenience of the quick service :)

After having two designer shirts ruined at quite a price, I never returned. The young woman who works the counter is wonderful (unlike the owner). Now I take all my dry cleaning to Sloan’s down the street on Third; they’ve a reputation for being expensive but they’re more reasonable than «Fair» and do exquisite, professional cleaning. I even take my cashmere topcoat there. They’re first class.

We were initially impressed by the friendliness at Fair Dry Cleaners. They even stayed open a couple of minutes after closing time on Halloween as i was late to collect my costume they were amending. We had a few other alterations done there and the work was always good. I recently took in two cashmere items, one turtleneck and one cardigan, both relatively expensive and closet favorites of mine. The turtleneck came back perfectly dry-​cleaned but the cardigan was returned with two holes in the arm accompanyed by pungent chemical smell. It looked to me as if it had been chemically burnt. The dry cleaner denied it was their fault, no offer to cover the cost, and gave it back to us saying we had brought it in like that. Now i dont want to lay 100% blame on them, i have no proof, but this has me baffled, the seat of my car would not have done this, and it defintely was not like that in my closet. Perhaps I will leave it up to the reader to help me solve this mystery… but suffice to say, we wont be going back.

Dina, the woman who works here is the reason I will keep going back. I live in the area and have also used Splendid Cleaners, which I have been totally happy with when I’ve used them, but Fair Dry Cleaners is closer to my house. They always do a good job and the turn around is quick. The prices are average and the coupons are helpful. The reason I am taking the time to write this review, however, is Dina. I just took my silk, appliqué wedding gown to be hemmed at the bottom. When I tried it on, Gina pointed out that it needed an alteration near the waist too. Over a period of a less than a week and a few visits, Gina made sure my dress was perfect. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm were so nice. Wedding planning is stressful, but dealing with her was actually fun and allowed me to actually get excited. This is notable because the gentleman who works there wanted her to do a rush job and not pay so much attention to detail. I appreciate her care and sincerity which was present through the whole process. She deserves a raise, because she is the reason I’ll be back and from the look of the other reviews, I’m not the only one who feels that way.

I have to say my experience with this Dry Cleaning establishment is quite different from the other reviewer. It’s obvious to me why — they deal with the lady, I always get stuck with the man. He is very blunt and rude. He always makes me pre-​pay for my cleaning and alterations when I drop my clothes off, not them I pick them up. He always seems angry, never happy. It’s not just me, either, I’ve seen him treat other people the same way. I’ve got no issues with his work, though, be cleaning or alterations. Still, if he wasn’t so close to where I work, I would not be going back.
OK, I had Fair hem up a pair of pants for me. They did nice work, and the pants were ready on time. Better yet, I dealt with the Hispanic girl who works there, who has a much better personality than the husband of the Korean owner. So, I think I will go for broke and bring them another pair of pants that needs hemming.

Very nice people who offer an Eco-​Friendly dry cleaning. They do very good alterations, too. Occasionally they have coupons you can look for.
And even though we’re not there too frequently, the lady always knows a a minimum the beginning of how to spell my name.
Simply a quality choice. Yes, they seem fair, too, but that’s probably more to do with Fairfax.

This dry cleaner is pretty good! A little pricey but they will always give you a discount and they send coupons out in the valupak every month with some pretty good deals. They do good work on cleaning and pressing, never had any problems with stains or anything. They also do good alterations, I’ve only had some pants hemmed and buttons put back on but they did better work than I could do. Parking lot is a bit tiny and difficult to get in and out of but I always manage to find a spot. I would recommend this dry cleaner for sure!

I have used these guys for about 3 yrs and they do a good job at a reasonable price. The woman usually behind the counter is especially friendly and helpful.

I love this place! Everyone is super nice and friendly. They have great turnaround time and do an amazing job. I feel like I have just bought new clothes every time i pick up my cleaning. They also don’t use any of those harsh chemicals that tend to ruin your garments after time. I live all the way downtown, but it is worth the drive for quality service. They also offer same day service.
