I strolled into the store to browse.
I left buying a few hundred dollars of clothing.
All I can say is that the salesperson has a good sense of style.
He suggested the perfect pair of jeans, the right shirts, and the correct jackets for me.
He also said that if I did not get a lot of compliments on my jacket, I can bring it back.
Can I tell you? I get a lot of compliments on it.
This store is a unique find for really hip clothing.
Definitely recommend it.

I came into the store expecting it to be quite full, but it is quite a relaxing atmosphere and this gives chance for the employees to focus on helping you better. I found a jacket I liked after a recommendation from the owner and even got a 30% discount on it, which was really kind of him. There is also a good selection of different brands and styles at this store so don’t be afraid to visit, whatever your style is.

So the BBB complain did it. The guy issued the refund and made it seem like he was an angel and I was completely in the wrong. Anyhow, I got the money back but still not going back there to shop ever again.

This is a great store. Happened upon it while in town with my wife strolling along Melrose. So glad we went in… found some great, unique clothes, at very reasonable prices. My wife couldn’t stop commenting on how great the selection was. Aristide, the owner, made awesome recommendations — he really knows his clothing. Not only that, he provided some excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat while we were in town. His service is top notch, and this is a great store. I’d definitely come back. I NEVER write these reviews, I mean never, but I was so impressed I wanted to. You won’t go wrong stopping in to Explosion to check it out.

Very cool selection of shirts, jackets, etc. Owner has a great eye for style, and suggested a jacket that I wouldn’t have initially picked for myself but gets tons of compliments and has become my favorite piece of clothing. Great place !

Just purchased a pair of jeans and a collar shirt here. The variety of clothes here are fantastic and most are very stylish. The person working here was also fantastic. He was eager to help me, was knowledgeable, and after telling him that my budget was $ 200 dollars, he sincerely lowered the price of the clothes to match my budget for me! Never been to such a great clothing store with fashionable clothes at decent price with great customer service to boot.
The only complaint I have is that I wish that they carried more jeans with smaller waist and length size as I am pretty thin and short.

This store has one of the best selection of clothing I have seen, you can take the advice of professionals and always willing to work with your budget, this store is always about customer service and great fashion, which stands out in my opinion compared to the other stores in Melrose.

Explosion has a great selection of the newest lines from some great designers. Mostly «well dressed» fashions, no specific stereotype. The staff has good taste and is honest and knowledgeable; rarely do I trust the fashion advice of sales people. As for what DJ mentioned below, yes, designer jeans typically come in a 34 inseam only and anyone requiring shorter have to get them hemmed. This is typical. (Fortunately for me I wear a 34 inseam.)
The great thing about places like this is that when you earn some respect with them they’re willing to help with pricing, point you in the direction of other shops that will pass on a good deal, or even let you stash some of your things in the back room while you walk around Melrose! Easy 5 stars for Explosion!
