Kogi«Roja» truck was converted into the ESPN World Cup food truck for two weeks. Big screen TV on top, and a special menu… now while I like Kogi n’ all, I don’t crave them like I do some other foods. But something about the ESPN World Cup truck and their«world» menu, sitting in the parking lot next to The Brig… hell… it’s almost perfect. The USA silver dollar pancakes are tasty, the lamb gyro is better than any other gyro off a truck I’ve had, the huevos rancheros– it’s not quite«right» in the authentic sense– are far better than I expected… Heck the only disappointing things were the bunny chow(South Africa) that was hard to eat on a roll, and the hash brown like thing they served with the pancakes. Also be smart enough to bring your own chairs. We didn’t. Oops.

Every man’s dream come true. 1.Grease Truck 2.Live Sports on TV 3.A small menu Apparently Kogi genius Roy Choi came up with this amazing idea. The menu is short and sweet. definite man food. For once in my life I hovered around a grease truck and sat down to enjoy the scene. More often that not grease trucks create a sense anxiety because they are always so crowded and loud. I sat down to enjoy my Brazilian rice balls and salad as I watched some footy. What’s more they offer cool World Cup programs. Even better you can take a photograph with a replica WC trophy. Oh wait there’s one more thing… they have a 50 inch flat screen chillin on top of the truck! PUREGENIUS.
