One of the best fish taco places around! the batter is light, fluffy, and golden yellow. Big pieces of fish cooked perfectly along with a slaw/salsa bar as toppings. I super look forward to this on Sundays in Encino! I wonder where they are on weekdays. This would be a perfect taco Tuesday place!

Yeah, I go to the Encino Farmers Market for fruit and vegetables but I drive a little faster to the market because when I’m in town my Sunday breakfast consists of fish tacos. I’ve been a regular for quite a while and kudos to Valerie for being so friendly and getting my order going as soon as I approach the stand.

This is the BEST fish taco I’ve tasted in LA! I can only compare it to the ones I’ve had in Mexico, where the fish is very fresh, fried perfectly and just melts in your mouth and the batter is very light and crispy! I like that they serve their tacos the same way they do in Mexico, where its just the tortilla and the fish and you put your own condiments. My mouth is just watering as I type this. I wish its already Sunday so I can go and have them! Btw, would appreciate if you can include in the info what other farmers market you go to. I will definitely follow you. lol :)

Dear god, I believe we have found the best Fish Taco in Valley. Huge piece of Fish is dipped in a Tempura like batter and fried fresh, drained so its not greasy. I put some lemon, cabbage, salsa, white sauce and the spicy spicy salsa. De-freaking-licous.

My favorite fish tacos of all time. Shame on the Unilocaler who reviewed without tasting. That’s ridiculous! I’ve eaten their fish tacos for years at the Sherman Oaks Farmers Market on Tuesdays and also at the Sunday Encino Farmers Market. There is something about their batter that is absolutely delicious. Fish always tasted fresh and moist inside the batter. They just hand you the cooked fish on the tortilla and you put whatever toppings you want. I use the Pico de gallo, cabbage, guacamole sauce and white sauce which is mayo/sour cream. Love it!

it seems at odds to find deep fried fish tacos from a stand at a Farmers Market but that is exactly where you will find Ensenada Fish Taco’s. They are at the Encino Farmers Market every Sunday morning to early afternoon. There are several juice, day old bagel and food stands which offer a small variety of cooked food but this stand is usually the busiest.. So while you are shopping for your healthy fruits and veggies for the week you can calorie splurge on a touch of authentic Mexican comfort food with all the fixings. The batter is light with a great crunch and the fish is firm and fresh(Tilapia or Sole I am guessing). They make everything to order so the fish doesn’t absorb the oil all that much or at least that’s my justification for the the indulgence. Their salsa bar has everything from cabbage, crema and lot’s of tangy, spicy and mild green and red salsa’s which are the perfect accompaniment to the tacos. You can fix em up anyway you like and they even have some deep fried jalapenos for those with the stomach. Three sizable filet’s and a drink can be had for $ 11 and it’s enough for one hungry person or two less ravenous to share which is s decent value. Individual tacos are $ 4. They do sell out sometimes and the word is out as indicated by the lengthy lines reminiscent of a good food truck. I have partaken a few times and they have been consistently good so count me as a repeat and satisfied customer.

3 tacos for 9 bucks? Not bad. Wait? Everything is fried? Really? In über-healthy LA? Also you place your own toppings at a salsa bar. Fine for some place, but not really for a Farmer’s Market. It’s kind of a mess. Tacos themselves were OK, but nothing that would make me run back.
