The food is good and the prices are more reasonable then anything around here. I have only had breakfast here and it’s a good quantity for the price

Ordered an omelette with avocado, avocado was hard as a rock and still had the skin on it. Ordered Chicken Wings and was pleasantly surprised to find the chicken still frozen in the center. The food is absolutely disgusting and very poorly prepared.

Order a chicken Caesar salad. Chicken was dry and there was dirt on the lettuce. Absolutely unacceptable. The chefs and managers should be fired.

My experience was a few months ago shortly after they opened, I was working in the building and stopped by for breakfast, first the kiosk was confusing and I needed help with the whole number thing then you have to go to the cashier and pay. I ordered a breakfast burrito to go and it was flavorless, potatoes were undercooked and the flour tortilla was overdone left it too long on the flattop. I would never order it again. My Co –worker ordered his breakfast for dine in and I asked him how his meal was? he said flavorless and has had much better I am working down the street for the next two weeks and this place would be perfect for the walking location and it’s clean, nice-looking place. After reading all the reviews, it’s the same complaints about the food too bad because you have a great location.

Stopped by here after work, and ordered gnocchi with sage butter and garlic and it was seriously good. There’s free WiFi, so I just worked for awhile and hung out and got coffee at Jazzman’s –also super solid. Was honestly super refreshing over all the craziness in Hollywood.

Awful flavorless food! Took forever! Will not return and I live a block away. No greeting no instruction no flavor… Just plain awful! High price for what you get.

I have never been asked to leave a café before today. I consider myself a very loyal patron. Writing for a living, I return to spots I like over and over again, often staying through a couple of meals, while typing away, quiet as a mouse. In fact, I am like family with the staff at my LA locals and I am always extremely conscientious about over staying my welcome — though that’s never been an issue… until 20 minutes ago. Today, after paying for a full breakfast and, at just under two hours, in an otherwise completely EMPTY café, I was politely told«we appreciate your patronage, but we can’t have you just hanging around here, like this. This place gets busy.» I looked around at the completely barren café at 10:30 on a Monday morning and politely excused myself. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, again. …and just when I was about to make it one of my new spots! Shame. Not to mention, it’s on a college campus(technically) and there are outlets next to each table, encouraging work stations. The last couple times I was there, I saw numerous people working, who were there when I came in and there when I left. This was embarrassing for both parties, unnecessary and bad business. Congratulations, Emerson Café. You prompted my first-ever negative review on Unilocal. Kristina

Not much veggies in the veggies and tofu, which is chewy and overdone. You can do way better just down the street, for these prices.

Nice clean modern space. Interesting kiosk ordering system but can’t customize orders so you still have to go to the cashier. Seems more complicated than its worth. Cashiers were very friendly. Server was surly. But the big concern was the food. We both had egg dishes. Both were dried out and the potatoes were undercooked… very bland. We probably wouldnt go back

Positives: new and like the attempt at a minimalist look. The outdoor seating is good and the cashier was very friendly. Walking distance to home. Negatives: ordered breakfast and it was bland. Potatoes were not cooked. The order kiosk is a unnecessary step in that you still have to go to the cashier to pay and modify anything on your order. Server was at most, to be polite, unfriendly or maybe in a really bad bad mood. To end on a positive note, glad I went just to say I’ve been. Glad I won’t be going back.

This is an eatery which is part of the Emerson College on Sunset Blvd. It has a small convenience store where you can pick up sodas and snacks. There is a counter that sells various coffee drinks and sweets. And finally, you can get food such as sandwiches, soups, salads, etc., If you are there to eat, you can grab a menu at the entrance and place your order at the computer kiosk. You then assign yourself a #(there is a basket next to the kiosk with #‘s), you then take the # to the counter and pay. After you pay, you take your # and place it at your table and they will bring the food to you. Overall I felt the food was just ok. I had the grilled cheese which was decent. My friend hated his chili and I agreed that it was probably the worst chili I’ve tasted. I guess I would call this place your typical university eatery — not all that special but convenient.
