I went to camp, taught a makeup class in Swedish, co wrote a rhyme and memorized colors and states… all in all, I’d say a productive hour and a half! I really had no idea what to expect going in to this improv class and I left feeling like I had fun and a challenge. Matt was an engaging and cool teacher. Improv really is about understanding how to communicate. All the elites too chicken to sign up missed out! Many thanks Matt and Katie B and Rossi, John, Ed, Shannon, and Albert! It was great getting to know all of you!

Yes, and improv is a lot of fun with a small group of elites, our teacher Matt, and our lovely CM Katie B. Yes, and we did improv exercises like one word story, translating foreign experts, multi word following, and yes and. Yes, and there was a lot of laughter and mental exercising going on between the different teams. Yes, and Francesca, Ed, Albert, Rossi, Shannon, Katie, and Matt were a hoot to hang out with, eat pizza with and the time just flew by! Yes, and I would recommend improv to everyone and will think of joining more Improv in the future!

It’s official. I have the fever and the only cure is more Improv! I’ve always been a fan of improv, but was always too intimidated to sign up for class. I would think, «It’s going to be full of actors.» «I have to be funny.» «Everyone’s going to judge me.» But after the first exercise, all my fears and doubts vanished. Our instructor Matt, created a safe and fun environment for us to explore the world of improv. Basically, we just played a bunch of fun games that taught us how to listen and to communicate. By the end of class, we were all fighting to get on stage to try the next exercise. Located on Washington Blvd, Improv for the People was easy to find with plenty of street parking. While there is no concession stand, there is a reasonably priced vending machine with sodas and snacks. With plenty of classes at a reasonable rate, I’m looking forward to yes, and-ing my way to meeting new people!
