Five stars. Let me tell you why… I was on the hunt for Blue Moon’s Cinnamon Horchata Ale. You know, when you’ve got an itch you’ve got to scratch it. So, I flexed my internet skills to hunt down a provisioner of the Horchata Ale. The search engines honed in onto El Torito via a Facebook post notification that the elusive ale was currently in stock. Done and done… during a work lunch break, I booked it up to Watts to this joint. I walked into the neighborhood market and straight to the back to the fridges. Stop… all I could see in the beer section was Tecate, Coors, Bud, Pacifico. Noooooo!!! But I didn’t give up. I went to the cashier counter and asked for the Cinnamon Horchata Ale. Their response… «How did you know to come here for the Horchata?» After some conversing, homeboy brought out 2 six-packs of this liquid gold from the back room and proceeded to submit an order for replenishment to his beer supplier who happened to be standing right behind me! Introductions were handled, business cards were distributed, and beer samples were shared. Best lunch hour of my life.

Very awesome convenience store. It is pricey but that is because it is for the convenience. If you live nearby you know this is the better place amongst the others around. They have almost everything that one may need here. One of the awesome things about this place is their tortas. For just $ 2.50 you can get a delicious torta. All you need to do is get a bolillo bread and bring it to the person working the meat counter. You will have your choice of meat such as ham, turkey(50 cents more), bologna, and some other ones I do not remember. You then can tell the person to add everything which includes mayo, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, and cheese all included with the $ 2.50. It is a sweet deal. Check it out!
