Early birds get the warm pancito. Be nice and they might smile back geez people… Anyways I like the Salvie breakfast eggs, casamiento, Salvie queso and crema. If you prefer something else go to Los Molcajetes or Denny’s or IHOP or get a donut at Winchell’s across the street.

Where do I begin, I’ve been a long time customer to this establishment. Since moving to San Bernardino county I don’t get the chance to stop by as often as I would like but when I do I stock up on all of my favorites, guayaba empanadas, champurradas, quesadillas, conchas, elotes and can’t forget the tasty and oh so fresh bolillos, this place is amazeballs! This stuff stays fresh for days as long as I keep it well packed in a bag and in the fridge I recommend this place to any one with a sweet tooth. Hope you enjoy this as much as I always do!

One of the WORST bakery. I cannot understand anyone who is willing to give this place more than one star. First when you walk in the whole place is dirty. The floors are dirty and dusty and the pans that they keep the breads in are even dirtier. I can defiantly tell that they don’t was the pans before putting in new items. They just pile them over the old«goods». Second the horns were rock hard and the cream tasted like they had it our for days. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever had. They have the balls to charge 1.50 for that shit. Hell no

I stopped buy in hopes of some pan dulce. What I found was dry bread that looked old. I also got a tamal, which I later noticed was super cold. The bread was bad, just a dry old mess. The tamal was bland and there was nothing good about it. I wish they had better service and better bread because it’s so close to my apt.

I used to come here often, everything I tried here was good quality with amazing prices. I stopped coming here after I noticed the pan dulce and corn tamales were made poorly. I hadn’t been here for a very long time, slightly hoping they would improve. I was wrong. Got some quesadillas and corn tamales, The quesadillas didn’t have much flavor to them, and the corn tamales tasted as if they were bought in a frozen pack and then defrosted, and not defrosted that well. Yikes… If I give El Quetzal a second star it’s because I know they can do better. I hope they improve soon.

This is my childhood panaderia in a way, I only really came here for the bollios and I have been for 10 years and i will keep coming back for its delicious panes! It also gives some good lunches and the woman can be nice or a little reserved, but she isn’t mean. I hope the taste keeps being created for many years to come!

Oooh, so cheap and devilishly good. * empanadas de guayaba — bomb and last i checked, 3 for $ 1. * hot, fresh bolillos– perfect for any kind of carbolicious sandwich * quesadilla is so moist and perfectly dense * $ 1.50 — bolillo + beans + queso fresco … so simple, so fatty, so awesome! I am so happy they are about to move into a bigger space across the street!
