El Pollo Loco

Needs work… Went through the drive thru to order a family meal. To beginning the young lady said she had to make sure she had the chicken available? (Odd because all they sell is chicken) she returned confirming the chickens availability, so I ordered. When I got to the window we where greeted by Jessy who was professional. Unfortunately it took quit a while to get our order. Top it off it there was no customers inside only one other vehicle behind me. Eventually we got our order and Jessy performed service recovery by apologizing thanking for our patience and provided us with free drinks. I will give them another chance. the location has potential and I hope things get better.

Just had lunch here the place was extremely dirty. The floors, the counters, the windows. The trash can was over flowing with food to the point where the food was falling out. The staff is very young. Too young to be running a restaurant. Everyone was standing around not doing anything. Terrible service.

Hate to do this but dang…
After a crazy week and craving the tostada chicken salad, I decided to have it since a co-​worker said she would go for me…
First… The chicken was not even cut up
Second… Parts of theLettuce was not fresh (I hope my stomach doesn’t bubble up later)
Last… The cilantro dressing was PALE as heck. Instead of the normal green color it was like ranch with a hint of green. How can you mess up the signature El Apollo Loco dressing. Did they not follow the recipe.
Probably will be my last time here since the reviews are horrible… I’d rather drive to another location.

Feels like no one was trained or no one cares. Won’t come back. Go to a different one.

Currently sitting here… been waiting for 25 min now… they are out of half the menu… I want my money back-​but I’ve waited this long I might as well stick it out.
No churros, no salsa! Restaurant is empty yet there’s nothing ready…
We up to 28 min now still no food… I wouldn’t come here again although I love the crazy chicken! Bad management.

This El pollo loco just opened and I think they need to tear this fuckin place down. I went there 3 different times and only went home with chicken once!!!
1^st visit: they were out of chicken!!! Does Del taco run out of tacos? Do donut shops run out of donuts? El pollo loco shouldn’t. …I repeat, SHOULD NOT RUN OUT OF CHICKEN!!! hire a new staff who understands their role. Cashiers should take orders and money, janitors should clean things and cooks should COOK!!! This isn’t rocket science guys! Absolutely disturbing
2^nd visit: YES I wanted to give them another try. …it was on the way home from running errands… well they had chicken, but now they didn’t have salsa!!! How lazy of a staff do you guys have!!!
3^rd visit: I’ll give you 1 guess… Yep out of fuckin chicken AGAIN and it’s was only 6:50 pm on a Wednesday. The cashier had the nerve to tell me that they had 2 big family orders before me… so you’re telling me that 2 families bought ALL of your cooked chicken and even your frozen chicken? Get the fuck our of here, lady!!! Might as well close this place down and put up a chipotle (with contaminated food and all… buy at least they will HAVE food!)
Rarely do I comment on Unilocal,but this place deserves a Unilocal review, especially if it helps to warn hungry people to stay away from this El pollo loco. I’d rather drive from northridge to Palmdale for El pollo loco if I had to choose. Management, please close down this location, retrain your staff and maybe 1^st time customers will write something nice on Unilocal or even come back to eat

Once again for the 3^rd time, I’ve been told by this NEW EL POLO LOCO, that they are OUT OF SALSA AGAIN??? There service there sucks too. They never tell you they’re out of something until you have already paid and then question why the item (s) is missing from your meal. WILL NEVER GO TO THIS ONE EVER AGAIN SINCE THEY KEEP RUNNING OUT OF CHICKEN AND SALSA!!! Sad for being a new facility. NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT ASAP!!!

This is the worst El Pollo Loco, I have ever been to, this was my 4^th time here. The first 3 were ok, I chalked it up to being new .
Today I went for lunch, they are extremely busy, but all the employees are extremely overwhelmed. It took a little while longer than usual, but that’s to be expected, but my food came, no tortillas, I even paid for an extra order. The worker said, oh they are being warmed, that they would bring them to my table. Never happened, please don’t lie to customers. Finally I went to the counter and asked. He handed me 2 packages, both with only 1 tortilla, they were hot, but stale.
Besides that the syrup in the Coke machine was off .
Next time I will drive a few miles further, and go to an established El Pollo Loco that is run correctly

Got the under 500 calorie salad and it looked like it was made a week ago. Terrible
Never coming back
And when I complained they said nothing!

This location is the worst. They haven’t caught up to speed and lack the work force to meet the demand. They don’t have food ready and you have to wait 40 minutes when it gets busy. They make you wait inside from the drive thru and lack genuine customer service. Make sure you hire good workers and not people who can’t add or subtract. Worse case look at the receipt to see how much change is owed.

OK… so it MUST be a requirement to be a complete and TOTAL moron to get a job at ANY El Pollo Loco. But this BRAND NEW location putts being completely incompetent on a whole new lower level. With out fail they have managed to mess up EVERY SINGLE ORDER. I’ve been there 4 times now since they have been open. (Yes, I know, Shame on me…) I dont know how many times I had the lady repeat my order and reassure me that it would be correct. Not only did she give me someone else order, but then argued with me after i showed her my receipt. I did get my much deserved refund. But I am here to tell you to NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES come to this El Pollo Loco. They will, every time, give you the wrong order and quite possibly on purpose. They just don’t care. I will never EVER be going back to this location, much less any El Pollo Loco at this point. Good Riddance… It’s a shame because their chicken is so good. But their workers are so incredibly stupid. I will be calling someone in the El Pollo Loco corporate world to complain about this location. It’s really that bad…

I use to really like el pollo loco but now that I know they don’t care about people and what they put in our stuff I really could care less for this place, very unhappy with how careless the cooks or the workers are. Never going there again wouldn’t recommend this location try other others ones !

Chicken was like cardboard and I barely even got any in my chipotle chicken burrito, out of chicken for the crunchy taco so we asked for steak instead and they agreed, only to realize later after receiving a different chicken taco they don’t even carry steak?!
This el pollo loco blows. hire staff over the age of 16 plz.

Brand new location. Pulled up through drive thru and ordered the leg and thigh family meal with rich and corn as sides. It also came with chicken enchiladas and churros. When we took it home, the chicken was over cooked and was dried out. The churros was ok. If you don’t eat it warm, it gets hard. I’ve had better at other locations. This place just opened so let’s see how this location will do.

I love El Pollo Loco!!! But this location SUCKS! I went three times maybe four trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but NOPE!
I will keep going to the one on Topanga Canyon!

Chicken tacos al carbon were flavorful especially with the roja salsa. The restaurant was giving free samples of chicken tortilla soup that was quite tastey too! Will be back again!
