El Paissa Mexican Grill

Hace hora y media que ordene una orden de tacos dorados y una milanesa tengo 25 minutos tratando de comunicarle la persona del delivery donde está ubicada mi casa el servicio es pésimo y aparte de eso cable para decirles que que está pasando con mi comida contexto de una manera no profesional me dijeron que si quería cancelar mi orden está bien o me tenía que esperar si el dueño de llegar a ver este comentario espero contrate personal más capacitado que sepa tan siquiera usar un teléfono

Excellent food and service, came here with a group of friends and everything went great. I had a wet burrito with green salsa and it was fantastic. I’m very picky about my salsas but everything was on point about it. My friends got other more traditional plates like carne ranchera which all gave good comments on. Overall it’s a great authentic Mexican restaurant with a vast menu that is equally good. I’m sure it’s even better with the Chivas playing and some Coronas to boot. Check it out

This restaurant is an awesome place to come with your family and enjoy great food, you can also go with your friends on Fridays and Saturdays since they have great music and karaōke, I really don’t stay for the karaōke part since I can’t sing and I avoid my friends putting me on the spot but the drinks are great and verry moderate prices if i may add. The waitress are pretty nice and make you feel right at home. So give this place a chance and thank me later :) The MOLCAJETES ARE THE BEST!

Yesterday, I ordered Chilaquiles and a side of carne asada and while the flavor was good the meat was tough and flavorless. The eggs were perfect and if the meat had been a bit higher quality I’d return. The rice and beans were ok.

I never write bad reviews but this place was bad… Honestly, all the reviews weren’t of great help. It’s not worth all the hype. First let me start off by saying that their music was too loud (I had to yell my order to the waitress), food wasn’t that great (You can definitely make better food at home), they don’t limit their alcohol to drunk people. As I was sitting with my family, a drunk man came over to my table, got in my face and tried to start talking to me while I was having dinner with my kids and the waiter just walked him back to the bar didn’t even say anything about it. All they did was sit him down and let him ask for another drink. I then asked for the check and as I was waiting, the drunk man dropped the chair behind my child’s seat and didn’t even apologize for the disturbance or anything, they kept serving him and his friends drinks. I’m definitely not coming back to this restaurant ever again.

Super Good Food at a reasonable price, the staff is super friendly, they have a juck box so theres always music playing now they have a Dj on the weekends so is a perfect spot for a margarita after work. There’re conveniently located of the 110 few blocks from USC. I defenitely recommend them to satisfy your hunger ;)

Love this place if I lived in LA this will be my go to place for good Mexican food, their Molcajete is freaking delicious and is big enough for 2 people, the service is really friendly and the tortillas de maiz are handmade and so freaking good, prices are good to for the quality of food you get, the micheladas are good and the margaritas are kind of too sweet for me but they are ok, they have happy hour daily from 5−6pm. Can’t wait to go back :) this place is definitely worth trying.

I was in Exposition park for the weekend and not being from the area i googled some place to eat and this is one of the places that came up. After reading some reviews my friends and I chose EL Paissa and we are all very glad we did! Not being from an area its always hard looking for a good place to eat, if your in the same situation or just looking for a good spot this is the place.
The food was great and the beer was excelent, nice and cold which came in handy on such a hot day.
The staff was friendly and very pleasent our waitress i wish i would have gotten her name was great!(but looking at the pictures she is the one in the pink shirt holding the large plate of shrimp) She was very attentive with us and she even joked around a bit which made us feel very welcome. Sadly we live far away so we can frequent this place especially since Karaōke night sounds like a blast! All in all it was a great way to end a quick weekend out with friends.

I love this place. Friendly staff and they always get your order right. Great place and bathroom always clean.

I love there «Molcajete» and there beer selection are great too. Park in the back many people don’t know about it.

The food was very good. The carne asada plate was filled with goodies. Creamy lumpy guac well done. Two mexican onions nicely grilled. The beans very tasty and good portion. The rice with vegetable a very nice touch and taste. The side salad to relish it nicely and a tomato slice. The grilled serrano pepper was well done. The handmade tortillas complemented this plate well.
The chips and salsa kept coming. The refills were attended to. Very nice.
My sister in law ordered two micheladas with dos equis because they prep it so damn good.
The atmosphere is nice and private.
The rear parking lot is nice.
This is an excellent Mexican restaurant in my book.

They have menudo with HOMINY!!! Its your average menudo but like i said it has granos. The salsa is really good is molcajete with a nice kick. The tortillas are hand made but a lil too thick. The service is great! It kinda smells like bathroom at first but its a clean and big resturant.
