The food was delicious! The only downside is that there aren’t any menus to go and it’s not posted online. My family and I could not stop raving about how good our food was. We ordered the fish, chicken salad, and fish soup. The soup was a little salty, but still delicious! We enjoyed everything and we will be coming back again.

I’m not from here, so when hubby tells me that if there is a decent crowd in front of a food truck, then the food is worth trying. And that is exactly what we did one night driving home from USC Medical Center. But really, I don’t know if it was the crowd or the al pastor in clear view as you’re driving down the street that got our attention. Regardless, this stop was a yum place to stop at. Stop by? :whatever: Our usual orders include tacos al pastor or with carne asada. We order the carnitas tacos for the boy. But really, the reason why we go here is because they serve mulas, or mulitas??? Cheesy, meaty goodness, really. It’s basically a cheesy taco sandwich, using corn tortillas and your choice of meat. The mulas come served with rice(weird looking rice to me, like they chopped the heck of it and made it into rice-ette) and beans sprinkled with cheese. The salsas are yum, too. We’ve only dined from the truck. The only association we’ve had with the restaurant itself was to use the restrooms.

Went there with the family. When the waitress was taking our drink order I went for a water. Waitress says: we only have bottled water. I’m like huh? no tap water, she says: No. Call me crazy but this must be illegal somewhere LOL. The food is average at best. This was my second time here and I only came back because I had a coupon they had place on my car’s windshield. When our bill came I handed the coupon. They wouldn’t take it, stating that they have stopped taking coupons since February. I pointed out that there was no expiration date on the coupon. Waitress then proceeded to call the manager on the phone after I insisted(guess he wasn’t on site, nice managing style). Still they wouldn’t take their own promotional ticket. I do give them one thing, i liked their flautas de pollo. Kinda of sweet, very tasty. I won’t go back, I don’t feel like taking my own bottled water around. Like they say in Spanish«Un vaso de agua no se le niega a nadie» :-)

I really enjoy the way the asada is prepared, very tasty. this restaurant has a truck outside in the parking lot for sit out or take home. The outside truck only sells burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tortas and mulitas. all other plates must be enjoyed inside. the inside rest. is nicely decorated, fully stocked bar and live music on weekends. you would never guessed by looking at the building. This place has one of the spiciest red salsa I have tasted. I think you will enjoy this eatery very much.

Outside of El Gallito, they also have a truck that dispenses tacos, $ 1 each! The Al Pastor cooking outside on a spit, is tasty, but not that great. I like the fact that you can order beer from inside the restaurant, go to the truck, order tacos, and enjoy them outside on a nice, pleasant, clean patio. Two stars-Al Pastor was ok, not great. They offer all of the other tacos n stuff. I’ll probably be back, but next time will put more salsa n condiments on my food…
