When El Flamin tacos first started parking in Chevrons lot, they were great! A flaming spit outside the truck, freshly sliced pineapple with your fresh fire roasted pastor on a freshly made corn tortilla– some of the best tacos around. Word got around, lines became long, but worth the wait for those pastor tacos. Then the city told them no open flames, sadly they turned into one more taco truck with a large menu. It seems that the crowds that stuck around are people who are simply into the food for its proximity and convenience.

My boyfriend heard about this particular food truck on Reddit, and we found their location in LA. We walked up and they had a kiosk where they made their own tortillas by hand. They were also grilling the al pastor on the side of the truck. We both got the Hawaiian burritos, (my mouth is watering just recalling it), absolutely delicious! Best al pastor I’ve ever had!

One of the best taco trucks around. It’s been at this location for awhile so I don’t know why Unilocal is late on the location change. Tripa is always crispy and clean, cabeza is soft, gelatinous, and delicious, and the lengua is just wonderfully done… tender and flavorful. These are the meats I get.

Not sure why Unilocal has this location as «moved» but it’s in the same spot as it was before. I’ve been to this taco truck a dozen times and I always order the same thing: 2 tacos with lengua and cabeza mixed. I went tonight and the woman taking my order stated that they don’t mix meats in their tacos yet I have ordered them this way many times and it is one of the reason why I love or shall I say loved this place. Tonight not only did I not get the tacos the way I love them but I got one with a completely different meat. They generally have 2 tortillas for each taco and I only got one tortilla. I also ordered nachos and the avocado they put on them was brown and gross. No one should have served the avocado that brown. Will not return. Will try the other taco truck across the street. 0 stars if I could.
