Overrated trendy followers only spot! Just to be fair, I admit that I am not happy with recent gentrification of my once beloved DTLA but that is NOT the reason I am compelled to take a stand when a company like this is given such high marks for such terrible food. I have to speak up because I do not want others to fooled by the long lines and blindly foolish comments of the robots in line regarding the great quality of the food sold here. Are people really that stupid? The food here sucks! The line is usually at least 20 deep, the service is poor and the prices are not reasonable for an egg, mayonnaise cooking oil and bun. Save yourself from the disappointed… Or maybe you are like the countless other followers who take word of mouth as truth and enjoy gagging on oil and mayonnaise.

This place is totally overhyped, I didn’t think it was anything special. I thought I would love it because there’s a fried egg in the burger, which I’m all for, but I don’t know. something was just lacking. The buns on the burger are ginormous which made it super difficult and messy to eat. And the line takes FOREVER. It moved so slow. Also kind of weirded out that they don’t serve fries with the burgers. I don’t understand how you can have burgers without fries, just like how you can’t have mac without cheese. WHAT. It wasn’t the worst burger I’ve eaten, but again, just nothing particularly special for me. Don’t waste your time.

Great place for an awesome breakfast sandwich or delicious burger. They’re famous for putting an egg in your sandwich and avocado. First time here and I have to say I loved it! Fresh squeezed orange juice too. All food is made to order. This place is located in the famous Grand Central Market in downtown La — broadway and spring. I suggest U don’t eat at the kitchen bar. It’s right on the boulevard and u get a whiff of the pee from the streets. That’s DTLAFORYA. But there is a better earing area behind the venue. Walk it off after through the many other eateries in the marketplace. Make room for desert cause there are lots of goodies to choose from !

I’ve visited Eggslut on a few occasions and every time I think its worth the wait. The line moves fairly quickly and if you love eggs, get in line! I love the ambience of GCM, with the open space, bar seating and variety of other amazing food options available in the market! Highlights: — The Slut: This is my favorite thing about Eggslut and I think this is also what makes Eggslut different/unique. The coddled egg on top of a potato purée with a fresh baguette. simply delicious and just melts in your mouth! They do offer a variety of different egg sandwich options, which I think are all good, but personally, I think you can get good egg sandwiches anywhere… as for the Slut, I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Actually tasted really good. I ordered a Fairfax and with tax it was $ 7.63. I would love to have breakfast here if it wasn’t so out of the way for me! I parked in the adjacent parking lot for Grand Central Market. They don’t validate anymore, but it’s $ 3 for the first 90 minutes. I came in at around 2pm on a Sunday and the line took about 30 minutes!

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I don’t have much to say other than this is probably the best breakfast I have ever had. Fact. There was a pretty decent queue, which kept moving pretty nicely. I ordered the Fairfax, and added avocado and turkey sausage with a cold brew coffee. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection with their chive-y, oniony, gooey cheesy deliciousness. Yummy fresh avocado and seasoned turkey sausage was a nice addition in my opinion. The brioche bun was warm, with the right amount of crispiness. If you are considering eating here, just do it. Don’t be put off by the queue as it moves fast. The food is so delicious people eat and leave quickly. We managed to get a seat at the counter. Brb, just going to drool over the pictures I took of my Fairfax sandwich.

So would I wait in line 40 minutes for this? Absolutely not! 20 minutes… well ok. However, I’m lucky enough to be a short walk away. Nothing, I mean nothing quite beats the Fairfax(scramble, onions, spicy mayo) after a night of drinking. It’s absolutely sinful and delicious! Get there early. Like at 7:45 before it opens early or anytime on a weekday. I especially recommend starting a weekday morning here and sitting at the counter.

Came here finally after hearing so much about this place. Park on the attached garage(cheaper than the one across the street on 3rd, which I parked at for $ 10). Came at 8am on the weekday and had a very short wait of only ~5min and got seats at the bar too. Got the Fairfax sandwich with Avacado, and switched the bread to the Maple-infused biscuit. The biscuit was full of flavor, thin and flaky, which was a nice contrast to the heavier/cheesy sandwich center. Highly recommend! The salted chocolate chip cookie was a flavorful, hard crispy cookie. Pretty good, but not my favorite– however I won’t judge this place based on the cookie since I liked their main meal so much. Would pass on this in the future.

Eggslut always sounded so fascinating to me yet I never really realized what they served until I actually went. There were a lot of people in line… a lot. You order on one side then walk all the way to the other side to pick up the food. My friend and I had already eaten a lot of stuff in grand central but she still wanted to try eggslut so I said why not. At first glance we thought everything was a sandwich of some sort but then we saw that you can substitute the bread for salad on any item. We looked through the menu and decided on the slut. We walked over to the other side to pick up our order and a space opened up right where the expediter was handing out the food. I saw our order about 2 minutes in… it was plated and everything… just ready to go. But there were so many orders coming in and a lot of hecticness that it sat there for a good 10 minutes before it was given to us. I literally stared at it and told my friend that was our order. And I was right. I feel like that area is really cluttered and it’s hard to hand out food when people are sitting right there eating. At least it was still warm when we got it. To me it was basically a poached egg and mashed potatoes cooked together in a jar with two pieces of baguette. I’m not gonna lie though it was pretty good. The yolk was cooked perfectly and the combination was really interesting and it had a lot of flavor. It definitely went well with the baguette crisps(but 2 pieces for a whole jar?). I did feel like it was a lot of potato to egg and bread ratio. Nonetheless I enjoyed the concept and it makes a great breakfast item. On the other hand, I don’t think that I really want to try anything else on the menu. Nothing really stuck out):

TLDR version: simple food done well. its good but its not 2hrs good. biscuit was fluffy and buttery. tasted great with maple syrup. bacon and egg sandwich with avocado was also very good. bacon was thick cut and crispy. the chipotle ketchup gave the sandwich enough sweetness and spiciness to make me ponder and savor as i chewed. also avo was only a $ 1. however, wait was too long for an egg sandwich. while its done well, it didnt blow my mind. i am interested in coming back and i hear the line clears out after lunch. im down to wait 30 mins for good food but not more than 1hr if its not gonna blow my mind.

I’m so glad that we arrived right when they opened. Within 10 minutes the line was already 5x as long. Get here early or else you will risk waiting over an hour and that’s not fun when you’re hangry. I’ve had Eggslut on my to eat for awhile now and finally had the chance to check it out this past weekend. We kept it simple and ordered a sausage, egg & cheese and the bacon, egg, & cheese. I originally wanted to order a couple other things, but I’m glad I didn’t because I was stuffed after my sandwich and orange juice. I thought both sandwiches were pretty good, not the most amazing thing I’ve ever had, but it’s worth checking out. Their buttery brioche bun truly makes it more than just your everyday egg sandwich. The next time I come here I will try the Fairfax!

Really, the only bad thing about the experience is the long line and wait. But to me, if the product is well worth it, it cancels out the long wait. Guess what? The product was WELL worth it. We got the gaucho, tri tip steak and egg with seasoned arugula. The steak was cooked perfectly, with the pesto-like seasoning, and the oozing egg yolk, wow what a combination of flavors! The service was very nice, and the location itself is in a market, so it’s a standup order with a bar seating. I’d definitely come back!

Rating: 3.5 The wait was terribly LONG, so long that I was able to write two complete reviews as I was waiting to get to the cash register. Be prepared to spend at least an hour here! I ordered the Fairfax and an OJ. Fairfax: — scrambled eggs –grilled onions –spicy aioli Simple, but their egg game is STRONG! I haven’t had good scrambled eggs in a long time so they definitely set the bar very high. OJ: Tasted freshly squeezed and not overly sweet! Reason for such a low rating: 1. The wait is CRAY! 2. I parked in the wrong lot across the street from Grand Central Market, so my first meal here was $ 20… CRYING. The parking lot that they will validate for is on HILLSTREET! Final Verdict: I’ll think about it …

I finally got to try Eggslut this past Thursday during lunchtime. I came at around 12:30pm so there was still somewhat of a wait(probably 20 minutes from the start of the line to when I got my food). I debated between the Fairfax and the Slut, and the former won out. I opted to add avocado since avocado always makes everything better. The sandwich itself is good — how can you really go wrong with eggs? It’s a decent size and was enough to satisfy my lunch craving. However, I did not find the sandwich mind-blowing as some of the other reviewers seem to find it. IMHO, I make even better egg sandwiches at home(the sweet hawaiian bread I use helps a lot and the taste of sweetness gives a nice little balance to the fat and saltiness of the egg). I think if they put a little more sriracha mayo and maybe a touch of maple syrup, the sandwich would be the bomb. Still a good place among the many vendors at GCM though and probably my go-to if I ever visit again.

We got lucky on a Tuesday right after the lunch rush at 1:00. The line was maybe about 10 mins and we got our food in about 10mins or less. I got the Fairfax which consisted of a chive scramble and cheese on a buttery brioche bun. I had to add avocado and bacon. It was okay… The eggs was definitely well cooked being moist and fluffy. I just wasn’t wowed I guess. I definitely left full. These egg concoction are a bit pricey with it costing about $ 10 for my bun.

I have waited so long to try Eggslut and it is eggsactly everything I’ve ever dreamed of! On Sunday morning, we parked in the parking garage right above Grand Central Market. It costs $ 3 for the first hour and $ 2 for every 15 minute after that. We were able to go in and out within 1 hr 15 min. The line wraps all around to Las Morelianas. Make sure you get a free sample of their carnitas taco while you wait in line for Eggslut so you don’t get too hangry! It was about a 50 min wait to order, but only 5 min wait to get your food. I got the Fairfax($ 7), which is soft scrambled eggs and chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bun, and added sausage($ 2) and avocado($ 1). I actually wanted to sub the brioche bun with the biscuit but they ran out :(But that’s okay because the bun was amazing too! Everything was melt-in-your-mouth kind of good. The eggs were so fluffy. The bun was like a perfectly toasted buttered croissant. The sausage was so necessary because I love my meat. And avocado to top it all off? Just take all my money! Egglsut, y u no come to Nor Cal!!! I applaud you for being the highlight of my So Cal trip :)

The name says it all! This place gets 3 stars for the name! Now to see if the food can get it any more stars… *drumroll please…* and no. The food was mediocre. I couldn’t find anything on the menu that I couldn’t get somewhere else that tasted better. I don’t mean to sound salty, the food is good and all, but it was nothin special, nothing that captivated me. The Egg Slut entrée was pretty good but, again, nothing super special. The egg sandwiches were decent also, but very basic. This place is a restaurant you have to go to specifically because of the branding and marketing of the restaurant, but once you go, it’s underwhelming. Oh but the«tip» jar was fantastic!

After hearing about this place from a good amount of my friends, we were finally able to squeeze it into our schedule during an LA day date to check it out. They opened at 8am on Saturday and my hopes were to get there ASAP to avoid a long line. We ended up arriving there around 11am instead and oh man was the line pretty damn long. At first glance, one would think«ohhh that’s actually not too bad of a wait» until you decide to see how the line wraps around the damn thing! Total wait time from lining up to actually ordering was roughly an hour so we decided to get tons of food to make our visit worthwhile. Overall I was content with the food but wouldn’t go as far as saying that it was amazing. With everything considered, I feel like you’re waiting and paying for overpriced egg items here; although some items are better than others here. Overall, I’d say they’d get a 3.5÷5 in my book and maybe even a 4⁄5 if our first experience here didn’t involve a ridiculously long wait time. Slut(3⁄5): I’m sure this is the main thing most people, if not all people, come here for either to try or are in love with. They use a sous vide technique to cook the egg and purée and it looks very cool. Even when you’re finally presented with the final product, it just looks so damn glorious in the glass container and the two accompanying slices of baguettes. Unfortunately, that’s as far as the awesomeness goes for me since I wasn’t really a big fan of how the taste came out after mixing the egg and potatoe purée. I would have been extremely happy if they had an extra egg instead, but the purée seemed to just counter the creaminess and taste of the egg yolk which you would expect. Was a bit sad that I paid $ 9 for something that looks so awing but tastes just like potatoes for the most part. Fairfax(4⁄5): You can essentially think of this one as a scrambled egg sandwich doused with tons of butter and cheese. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad thing! You can also add in bacon and avocado for a few dollars more if you want some more protein in your meal. The hot eggs mixed with the cheese yielded a very creamy and rich taste and the brioche helped bind things together for every bite you take. Definitely something I could see myself eating every morning, but wouldn’t pay $ 7 for it each time. Gaucho(4⁄5): This one was interesting… imagine a Royal Red Robin burger and substitute the burger patty with very tender and juicy tri-tip steak. Add the yolky egg on top of said meat and close it all up with some greens and a brioche bun, and you have yourself a winner for a protein packed meal! It definitely was my favorite out of the three things we ordered, although I did wish we got more meat in the sandwich. Pro tip: If you get the slut, you get to keep the glass container too!

I always see these awesome pictures of burgers with tri-tip and such but have always wondered where it was. I always heard the team«Eggslut» but I never understood that either. Finally, one day my friends and I were bored so we decided to take a trip to the Market Place to find some good food and walk around. We accidentally stumbled upon Eggslut and realized this was THE«Eggslut» that everyone has been talking about for awhile now. While parking can be pretty terrible, the wait and food is worth it. You can’t expect much service since it’s basically a to-go joint and they’re ALWAYS busy. FOOD– Gaucho — Wagyu Trip Tip Burger — delicious tri tip burger. super tender and the brioche bread is buttery beyond words. There is some pickled red onions, seasoned arugula, and has a medium egg inside! If you love beef or tri-tip. or just want to pick ONE item. this would be my favorite! Slut — steamed egg with potato purée on the bottom inside of a jar. This to me was one of the«hyped» up items that they have. To me, it just isn’t worth it. There wasn’t anything special about it besides the $ 9 price point or $ 10 if you want the organic version. SERVICE– Service is just OK. We were there when it was lunch so the wait was long and they were quite busy. It took them a while to get our order ready which I didn’t understand. There were 4 – 5 people after me that get their order before I did. The worker looked irritated that we were standing there so long waiting for our food but didn’t care to explain what was going on.

Chin up, you Philthy Eggslut – The walk of shame ain’t no thang, if you’re coming from this spot. Located front and center on the Broadway side of Grand Central Market, Eggslut features an egg-centric menu with sexy and sultry tasting products. —-The Food — - FairFax($ 7.00) — MUSTTRY. This indulgent sandwich has soft scrambled eggs topped with chives, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and sriracha mayo in a warm brioche. Add an avocado($ 1) and bacon($ 2) to give it some depth. The sriracha mayo provides that subtle kick to make your time even more memorable. While they’re the fluffiest eggs I’ve seen and bacon is crisped to perfection, I fear that the sandwich is pretty small. One is not enough to satisfy. The Slut($ 9.00) — A-OK. Comes with a coddled egg on top of smooth potato purée, cooked in a glass jar with salt, chives and served with a baguette. As their namesake item, I expected to be blown away by the taste, but was mildly underwhelmed. Still a worthwhile order, I feel the potato purée needed another supplement to elevate the taste – perhaps garlic and rosemary. The presentation is beautiful, but the jar is a hindrance when wanting to scoop out the last bits. Baguette could be softer too. The Burger($ 9.00) — MEH. This burger is like a super attractive girl with no substance to her personality. Even if you dressed her up with bacon($ 2) and avocado($ 1), the burger is mediocre at best. The patty is under seasoned and toes the line of being dry. The richness of the egg yolk and cheese aren’t enough to save the meal either. And like a pimp-slap in the face, the size of the burger is below average. —– Conclusion: The name of this establishment draws a lot of attention. If not that, the long lines, beautifully crafted items, and provocative smells will allure your curiosity. I just wish the items were bigger and more affordable. Despite those faults, give this spot a ride and I know Eggslut will happily return the favor. Extra Notes: –Accepts credit card –Replace breaded items with salad for free –Service is fantastic –One long counter with stooled seating. Purse hangers underneath. –Line begins near Press Brothers – wait times can be up to an hour –Parking located on Hill street – $ 2 for first 90 minutes –Restrooms at Market area could be cleaner

Rating: 4.5 for now How I met the man: I met Alvin Cailan(co-owner of eggslut) couple of months ago at a Filipino foodie networking event when he was a guest speaker. He was very motivational, down to earth, and very humble. Loved his success story! Definition of Eggslut: «Someone who loves eggs so much, they can eat them all day, all night, wet, hard, coddled, easy and with everything.» –Hazel Suazo(co-owner) Wait time: Wait time can be long, but you’ll be able to get some yummy goodness. I waited for 15 minutes, but I’ve read others have waited for hours. Price: A bit on the pricier side… Location/Parking: Located in the Grand Central Market. Find meter parking or park in their parking structure. If you want to take the Dash bus(commuter bus at $.50 a ride), take Dash D. Décor: Limited stools at the bar area, but you can find a place to sit anywhere in the Grand Central Market. Service: Staffer was very friendly and attentive. He recommended the Fairfax… so I folded and ordered it. I was also very impressed how fast the food came out. Food: The fairfax was great. Consisted of soft scrambled eggs, chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bun. In any sandwich, the bun is crucial in determining if the the sandwich is good or not. It surely past my taste test. It was sooo soft and yum! The combination of the texture of the scramble eggs(creamy and soft) and subtle flavors of the chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo made me feel a state of nirvana in my mouth, body, and soul! If you’re on the go, use the plastic fork that they provide you and eat while you drive or walk. It’ll be less messy. Yum-O!

Before you read any further on my review or any other review, ask yourself this: is a sandwich/burger worth a 40 – 50 minutes wait? If no, Grand Central has a TON of other options, which are just as good, but without the line. If yes, you’re probably doing it for the instagram picture, but okay. If you are able to bear the long wait, then you’ll land yourself a decent«slutty» burger. If you like eggs, this is the place for you, or so called egg heaven. However, if eggs are just eh for you, then these are going just be a pretty decent burger with an egg on top of it, literally. I was somewhat disappointed with my burger after all the hype from all my friends about EggSlut. The size of the burger was slightly disappointing as well. I would say if you’re really interested in trying it, go for it. tl;dr — Disappointed and annoyed with the really long line, but eh.

The most amazing breakfast sandwich I’ve had in my life! And I didn’t even eat it for breakfast which was the best part. Why do you not exist in Chicago?! It was so butterly to perfection and in every bite I cherish the taste. It was amazing! I wanted to get the other most popular item but it was too much work to be sitting down and eating so I got the other most popular item which was a breakfast sandwich. But all in all, it was amazing! I want more now but it only exists in California. Their line was super long too and I’m not too shock at it because it was so good. We stopped by the green street market just to check it what’s there. And there it was, right in front as you entered was eggsluts!

I have heard so many raves about this place. But I’m not sure why. The line is at least 40 – 60 min wait just to order your food. Then after you order, you will need to hope there is an open table, and then you have to wait for your food which was another 10 mins. Don’t come here if you are hungry. If you love eggs, this is the perfect spot. They are very creative incorporating eggs into the breakfast and lunch menu with prices ranging from $ 6-$ 11. There are only 8 selections so it’s not difficult to decide what to order. The most popular items is the«SLUT» which is a coddled egg on top of smooth potato purée, cooked in a glass jar, and sprinkled with salt and chives for $ 9. You will eat this dish with 2 pieces of toasts. Not as filly as you might hope but it’s their novelty dish that allows them to charge $ 9 as an entrée vs an appetizer. The second most popular dish is the«Cheeseburger». This is a ground angus beef, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, pickles, dijonnaise topped with an over medium egg in a warm brioche bun for $ 9.00. This dish is worth the $ 9 vs the«SLUT»”. There is a lot of flavor in the burger. However, I was very disappointed with the size of the beef patty. Been here and I’m moving on to my next food adventure. If you haven’t try this place, I would come just to check out the hype. The food isn’t disappointing. But I have had better burgers at other restaurants.

Finally had the chance to try this place!!! Waited about 45 minutes to get thru the line –_– my girlfriends and i were starving! the restaurant is so popular for their eggs with runny yolks! I LOVEEEEEETHEM! we ordered the slut, egg/sausage sandwich, and fairfax. the slut — $ 9 i think it was too much for a small portion. I think we just paid for the jar. lol! it had an egg and the mashed potatoes in the bottom. It also came with the bread. it is good, but not filling enough for one person. egg/sausage sandwich — it’s delicious, especially the bun. the quality of the meat, bread and esp the eggs. yummy! i wish i order another one of this. fairfax — the difference between egg/sausage sandwich and fairfax is that it has spicy mayo i believe. it adds more taste. but the egg yolk wasn’t enough =(needs to be more runny!!! LOL I would come back again but I ain’t wait in the line for more than 20 mins. Maybe I would go earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. if you are the tourist, you gotta try this!!!

Sorry, but not worth the wait or the price. The line here is pretty long for a simple breakfast spot and that’s what it is, it’s a simple breakfast spot. The bacon egg and cheese. It’s a bacon egg and cheese, even if it’s a churched up version with fancy bacon and ketchup but it’s still a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and paying triple the price for a NY analogue just doesn’t sit right with me. I love breakfast, it’s the best meal of the day but this was pretty disappointing and overpriced/overhyped.

We finally decided to stand in line and try eggslut after over a year of considering it. We got there early on a Sunday morning and still had to wait in line for about 30 min. We ordered the fairfax(Caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, avocado, egg on a biscuit) and a turkey sausage, cheddar, avocado and egg on a biscuit instead of brioche bun). To be completely honest, they were solid, but overhyped. I wouldn’t wait in a long line again to eat here. It just wasn’t that amazing. The biscuit was too small for the amount of food that was in it and it broke apart and made a mess. There are a bunch of other better options at Grand Central Market that I’d rather indulge in. Overhyped, I’d only recommend this place of the line is 5 min or less and you’re craving an egg sandwich

Eggslut was good, but it’s overrated. We decided to brunch here after securing tickets to The Broad, which is walking distance since the wait for the Infinity Room was 2 hours and we hadn’t eaten yet. I felt like one of us had to order The Slut assuming it was their signature dish so I did. It was really unique and delicious. It’s basically a coddled egg over potato purée with 2 crostini. The egg and potato purée were amazing together, but the crostini was meh — kind of dry. It’s also not that filling so if you’re hungry, order something else(too)! My bf ordered one of the sandwiches(The Fairfax) with bacon in a brioche bun(sadly, they ran out of biscuits around 11:30am), but it was pretty good anyway. Luckily, we only waited about half an hour in line. Any longer than that and I would’ve been disappointed. It’s located in a pretty cool marketplace too so you can check out the other restaurants/kiosks which include ramen, ice cream, juice, bread, etc.

I had to see what all the hype was about when I went back to LA for the holidays. — Parking $ 7.75−10 flat rate weekdays(although I also found out after that there may be free parking right underneath Grand Central Market) — Fairfax + avocado + bacon: it is warm, savory, and the softness of the scarmbled eggs and avocado is heavenly. — Slut: $ 9 a mini jar of sous vide puréed potatoes, poached egg, chives, and sea salt. Absolutely delicious but pricey for the portion. The line wrapped around Eggslut all the way out into the sidewalk(~45 minute wait). I’m glad to say that I’ve finally tried it, and it was indeed very good. But I think now that I’ve tried it, I’d rather skip the line and replicate these items at home for a fraction of the cost.

My wife and I finally crossed this off our Foodie Bucket List to start our 2016 eating adventures. I’m not sure what more can be said about a place with thousands of Unilocal reviews, but based on our first experience, I’d come here again. Eggslut was definitely a hipster foodie paradise and it lived up to the hype in terms of flavor: The Slut really is that good, a unique blend of poached egg and potato purée(with grey salt and chives) that melts in your mouth and contrasts well with the crunchy baguette slices. Is it worth $ 9? Absolutely not, but that hasn’t stopped people from ordering it. To me, it’s more like the perfect side dish than a main entrée. Take it for what it is: an occasional and delectable splurge item. The Sausage, Egg, and Cheese, was also very good: housemade turkey sausage, over-medium egg(exactly how I like it), cheddar cheese and honey mustard aioli in a warm brioche bun. Flavorful, filling, and a slightly better value at $ 7. We waited just over 30 minutes in line and we were done with our meal 10 minutes later. Not too bad for a Sunday morning. The employees were all working their tails off yet remained polite and friendly. Seating at the counter was hard to come by, but thankfully there’s plenty of chairs and tables in Grand Central Market and right along Broadway, which is where we sat. While I’m not a fan of the prices here, I do like the food. I’ll be back after a future payday.

«We have to get there when before it opens, because apparently there is a well-over-an-hour wait.» Yes, let’s use a vacation day to wake up at my normal, ungodly hour, so we can drive to DTLA and grab breakfast. There is a definite upside of taking a vacation day and coming here a) early b) during the week and c) during a holiday week. While everything is open, most people are taking time off and most damn well wouldn’t wake up this early to wait in the FREEZINGCOLD for this. This is reserved for the crazy people, i.e. my boyfriend and I. We ordered the following: the Fairfax(on a brioche bun), the Slut, and the sausage, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. The biscuit took approximately 15+ minutes to be made, but that’s neither here nor there, as it gave us enough time to finish our first two dishes. The Slut is amazing. The absolute best mashed potatoes(it’s a purée, let’s be real, it’s not mashed), with a poached egg, flecks of salt grains with an oozing yolk, all picked up by two crostinis acting like spoons. As small as this is, it hit every spot I needed on that cold morning. Boyfriend went to town on the Fairfax with bacon, and the sriracha mayo sauce is something I KNOW he’s gonna start requesting from now on. He couldn’t stop talking about it. But honestly — the best part was the biscuit sandwich. The biscuit is this intensely buttered ball of fluffy, baked dough that melts in your mouth — along with the fried egg, sriracha mayo — with a taste of sausage. It was heavenly. I highly recommend getting all three, even if you’re the only one in your party. Boyfriend loved how the place opened up, diner style out in the open. I personally didn’t care for that part, seeing as how it was approximately 30 degrees and I was freezing my fucking ass off. I live in LA, not the arctic, I’m not dressed for this. He said it reminded him of New York City — I have never been, so I’m taking his word for it. Grab a hot cup of coffee to keep your insides warm, and your hands from frostbite. And arrive before they open(8a), otherwise you’ll be stuck in a long, long line.

My friends and I decided to try this place out after hearing so much about it. I’m glad we did! But first of all, I must say that parking is horrible. You have to park in those parking places and pay or either street parking with meters. So we parked at one of the parking location and paid $ 8 for all day parking. Anyways, the wait was pretty long. It took about an hour. During the wait, a guy came toward us and told us that they may be out of bread. What a mood killer! But yet, we still stayed and waited in the long ass line because we didn’t want it to be a waste of time and money. So thank goodness when we got to the register, there was still bread! I ordered the Fairfax with bacon. Bacon was $ 2 extra but it was worth it! My total came out to about $ 9 – 10. Yumm. The fairfax had spicy mayo in it which added a perfect taste with the eggs and bacon. Overall, I’m glad to try this place out. I’m looking forward to trying the other items on their menu. Mmm… Can’t wait! If you’re feeling hungry and slutty for some eggs… Try eggslut!

Holy shit. That was freaking delicious. I gotta say I am such a slut now. I mean it was that good I feel like I lost my virginity or something. So the line is long unless you get there early. Then it’s kinda long. But not long long, just kinda long. Anyways there’s a menu that you should take a look at before approaching the reception because you don’t want to look like a fool when you get up there. BECASUAL. BELEGIT! Order some slutty ass eggs and shiet. I’m telling you, it’s gonna blow your fucking mind. Why? Because it’s pretty slutty good. I think they put some type of secret ketchup… Or chipotle styled ketchup or whatever. But it’s freaking amazing. If you’re in the city of Angeles… Hehe, go here for breakfast because it’s delicious. Get in line early. Order some slutty eggs and become a slut. Because I am now a slut. And I love it.

EGGWHORES unite! Just kidding, I’m not about that life. I just wanted to try a tasty burger with an egg in it and the name of this place, you gotta admit, is pretty catchy, so we decided to drop by. For your first time, I recommend trying the Gaucho. The seared wagyu tri-tip steak and chimichurri sauce make this a flavorful burger. The over medium egg compliments the burger. I adore the brioche buns they use. We also had the opportunity to try their cheeseburger(ground angus beef, caramelized onions, bread and butter pickles, cheddar cheese, dijonaise, and over medium egg) with bacon add-on, but flavors were relatively basic. I wouldn’t order this again. Based on the reviews about the horrendous wait during lunchtime, I thought the line would take forever. However, the line went by really quickly in my opinion. Finding a seat at the counter is a challenge, but there’s plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating nearby, if you don’t mind taking the time to look around. Apparently you should stay away from the Fairfax and I read that the Slut isn’t all that. + If you don’t want bread, salad can be substituted on any sandwich with no extra charge + Add bacon for $ 2.00

The line is deceptively long… It moves really fast. After passing by this spot three to four times. Decided to just order all four of the breakfast items amongst the two of us and orange juice. Sandwiches are really just standard in my opinion but at 6 bucks… It’s not too over priced. I liked the fair fax the best of the three(sausage egg, bacon egg, and fair fax). I liked the slut the best which is a sous vide egg on top of salted potatoes and chives. Orange juice tastes fresh and was pulpy. Juice bar right next door.
