My favorite place for healthy and delicious groceries! They have so much produce… fresh seasonal fruit, herbs, vegetables. The meat counter has some of the cheapest and tastiest marinated flank steak you’ll find anywhere. The real find at this little market is the homemade Middle Eastern appetizers and salads in the refrigerated case. Their hummus is fluffy and creamy and light, the grilled eggplant with walnut pesto is rich and decadent, their beet salad is a treat even if you hate beets! It’s like $ 4 for a large container of freshly made guacamole and it tastes incredible. My bf hates avocados and even he likes their guacamole. There’s always plenty of parking in the back and I usually snag a place in front too. Here is a pic of a lunch I made entirely from Edi & Peter’s. Enjoy!

I have been coming to this store for years and I would like to confirm that so far this is the cheapest place to buy fresh fruits vegetables along with daily made deli. Their selection of meat products will always satisfy your needs as well. If you live in east side of Hollywood or around downtown make sure you give this place a shot, and I promise that you will be greatly disappointed on not to coming here before.

Sadly, Silver Lake/Los Feliz/East Hollywood doesn’t always have the best options when it comes to grocery stores: There’s Trader Joe’s, but getting there is such an ordeal that you almost have to emotionally prepare yourself before you go there. There’s Gelson’s, but they can get expensive if you only need a couple of things. There’s Lassen’s, but I do not shop there because of the whole Prop 8 thing. Enter… Edi and Peter’s! My new favorite grocery store! It’s just a little, unassuming store front on Santa Monica, but they manage to pack a lot of good stuff in between those walls. Their produce selection is phenomenal. They’ve got the freshest broccoli, the reddest tomatoes, the ripest mangoes They have a nice little carniceria — I haven’t bought meat here yet, but it all looks good. A lot of what they sell tends to cater toward both Latino and Middle Eastern clientele, which is awesome. Fava beans? They’ve got em. Salvadoran cheeses? They’ve got that, too. But my favorite thing about Edi and Peter’s, besides their unbelievably low prices? They sell their own Middle Eastern and Russian side dishes in their cooler. Their hummus and tabouli taste like what I used to eat at my best friend’s grandma’s house. The grilled eggplant with walnut sauce is like candy, it’s so delicious. I like to buy a couple of these and make sandwiches out of them. They’re super nice, too! Definitely worth checking out, if you live nearby.

This place rules! Been shopping here for about a month… they have a great selection of produce, it’s super affordable, and the staff is very friendly too. They sell a lot of products that you wouldn’t normally find at a regular grocery store, which I really appreciate. The store itself is pretty small and sometimes it’s hard to navigate around when it’s packed. But hey, everyone’s friendly! Not to mention the quality is decent, esp for the price.

Great place for tons of cheap produce, ethnic food, etc. Was shocked to get two weeks of groceries for two people for $ 68. It’s a little hole in the wall, but one worth experiencing. Check it out, for sure!

Cannot beat the prices and quality of produce. The crowd is definitely skewed slightly more mature and more ethnic, but that just means they know what they’re doing. There’s also meat counter, though it’s not as robust as some other local establishments. Again it’s all about the produce here. It’s genius. Tightly packed but worth the squeeze. Lines are long at peak hours.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have any reviews, or I’m the 1st reviewer. This place has very cheap/inexpensive produce. 4 huge grape fruits for 1 dollar. watermelons, papaya, I love that this place has that. It also has some other things they sell here, that are more expensive then other places. I just go for the produce tho. & the girl who is the cashier is nice.
