Excellent services and even better prices. I followed Unilocal down to Eco Fabric. I was looking to recover a free craigslist chair. I am competent but not an expert sewer, so I new I just wanted something basic, and not too expensive. I was thinking I wanted a plain black micro suede, however, they really didn’t have much in black. I guess everybody wants browns in interior design these days. Anyway, I explain my project. He asks me what I want to spend. I say $ 5 a yard, because it’s half of what I thought I would have to pay, and he’s like ok sure no problem. It wasn’t like I was trapped in a corner, I just started going to ones I liked, and he’d say sure that can be $ 5. What a great time!

Thanks Unilocal! It’s not easy navigating through all the various fabric shops in this little district. After going through several shops, this is where I ended up getting a great deal on quality fabric to recover my dining room chairs. Neat and friendly service.

After you have been to Michael Levine’s and seen what you like, take a picture of the fabric and bring it here. They will try their best to match it and at 1⁄3 the price. Morad is very helpful and will work hard to make a deal with you.

I loved this fabric store and am missing it now that I’m in SF. Its a small store but they have great stuff, especially for pillows and upholstery items. I came here for fabric for my dining chairs and some pillows. I brought my friend here(Erin d.) and she loved it as well. The key about this place is that they have great prints for upholstery fabric, modern and interesting. Other places seem to have very«old people» looking upholstery fabrics that were overly formal and fancy. The fabrics here are by far my favorite.

Came here to get fabric to reupholster my dining room chairs, and had gotten really frustrated with the crappy selection and overly aggressive salespeople at the other shops, and the super high prices of all the fabrics that I liked at Michael Levine(which is a great store for inspiration, but it’s pricey!). A friend of mine came here to buy fabric for reupholstering, and recommended this place, and this store did not disappoint! They had good fabrics at good prices. The owner was very helpful, and not overbearing in the slightest. My favorite fabrics here were $ 6/yard and $ 11/yard(compared to $ 35+ at Michael Levine). Would definitely come back here!
