This place totally surprised me. It’s like walking into your neighbors house (in college). The entrance is setup like a living room with a bar in the back serving coffee and booze. Small spot, lots of comics chilling. Little stage behind a curtain where folks are doing standup. I would totally take a date here, it just feels like you’ve walked into some movie scene — pretty neat spot.

Went here for a Wednesday comedy show. The venue really surprised. Some of the entertainment had some good stuff. Maybe the sound system was a little loud, and the room inside a room setup gave «comics» an opportunity to ignore their peers, but all in all a very pleasant surprise.

Echos under sunset is a really fun underground venue. I recently attended a fundraiser here and it was a great spot. Saw some live music and art that was donated. The bartenders were friendly and we got our wine super quick.

I really like this place! I was a bit tiny from what I imagined. I came here yesterday for the «UnValentine’s Comedy/​Music Show/​Mixer». Unfortunately, my friend and I were running late and got there just in time to catch the last comedy performer. It was funny, and I did have a good time. Only negative is finding parking. All in all, pretty fun show.

I can’t speak for normal nights, as I only came here because a buddy of mine organized a standup comedy show here. I will say though, their drinks are well priced, their stage is a decent size for comics to perform on, and we had a damn good time.
That said, grain of salt and all… I mean I’ve only been here once, and I was inebriated and watching comedy by my friends and with my friends… but the venue itself… good times :)
I give Echoes Under Sunset a 5 out of 5 stars.

I caught a really cool comedy show on a Tuesday night here and loved the spot. It’s a rare find that hosts free comedy shows pretty much every weekday! The venue is cozy and the people are friendly.
Street parking was easy on a weeknight. I would think parking wouldn’t be a problem on busier nights since they have 2 nearby parking lots as well open parking on nearby streets without permit restrictions. The only place you can’t park is in the Burger King lot across the street since they will tow you.
This spot also hosts art shows and their schedule is posted on the website. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something different to do in LA.

I recently went to the Heroines and Villians art show, very cool themed art by female artists. I got some cool earrings and they had bubble gum cupcakes that really made me super happy :) I had a fun night here!
