It closed down due to the expanding metro rail!!! It hasn’t reopened yet!!! There’s a sign in a store front farther down Crenshaw saying it’ll eventually open up there, but I’ve been waiting… and waiting…

The best hotdog in town. I have been all over town and tried them all and Earlz is by far the best.

Turkey chili cheese fries– just as delicious. Beef got dog w grilled onions/mustard. — bomb. Beef hot link– bomb. Don’t forget to try the playa punch!

Dang! I’m missing my veggie chili dog from Earlez!!! I went by the restaurant on Crenshaw and saw the sign that they are moving to another location at 3864 Crenshaw. It won’t be ready until the Early Spring 2014 though, so I hear: o(I’m sure the new location will be awesome and well worth the wait! For anyone looking for a caterer for an event, I do know they are still operating in a catering capacity! I’m looking forward to the new digs Earlez Grille! :o)

I love finding friendly neighborhood businesses. I’m all for supporting your local foodie place over chain restaurants — especially when their food is totally worth your money! Earlez Grille did not disappoint! The experience and food has made me fan, so come here, forget about Pink’s! Upon arriving — the owner, I think, greeted my friend and I. He explained about the business moving further down the street and that they were serving outside but to feel free to sit inside. Very, very, friendly staff took our order and made our experience wonderful, especially on a hot day. I went with the spicy beef dog and fries. Man, I’m glad I did! The dog was in a wheat bun with grilled onions and it didn’t need any mustard or ketchup. It had a lot of spicy flavor and it was all worth it. The seasoned fries were delicious too — they were the first to go! I plan on coming back and trying their other dogs and burgers, heck, their chili, too! Thanks Earlez Grille, my experience was amazing — I’m glad I stopped by!

Had the veggie link and was not impressed. My favorite part of this outing was the lady who works there as she was a hoot and really cracking jokes(at my expense but I don’t mind because I have a decent sense of humor). My co-worker had the player punch and thought it was sugar water(which means bad).

Beef hot dog with Chilli is the way to go. Playa punch is insanely sweet. Fries are fat and hot. No bathroom. Lady working is nice. Specials on each day. Combo is cheaper Messed up my stomach later

OMG! The Vegan Link is absolutely the BOMBDIGITTY!!! Lol Yes I said it because that’s how it REALLY made me feel!!! I added that BOMB Veggie Chili and some Veggie Cheese and those BOMB Grilled Oinions… I then put on a little relish a little mustard and get this, I like my food with a little kick so i grabbed a few of those yellow chili peppers. I then proceeded to my designated grub seat inside the dining area, which I will talk about in a few but stay with me now, I cut my dog in half, picked up one half and shoved it in my mouth? NO! I’m not that greedy, though their food is so yummy it makes you feel like you’re eating fast. ANYWAY, I took a bite of my Vdog and took a bite of the yellow pepper and I said MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKINGABOUT!!! You don’t understand how DEEELICIOUS that was!!! Plus I had those Yummy seasoned fries and a Honey Punch! Now let me tell you, they are setup outside now with the kitchen closed inside but the seating area is open. so don’t under estimate the power of the tent! They do have a smaller menu but the food is BETTERTHENEVER! This guy sitting at the table next to me was eating a Chicken Link and said it was the best he ever had! I was like GOHEADEARLEZ!!! Keep up the GREAT food and service and even though they are outside I didn’t have to wait long at all. Food was ready QUICK! In fact, I’m going by TODAY!!!

I finally had the opportunity to try Earlez! I had the veggie dog and it was ok. It didn’t have any real snap to it, an elusive quality in a non-meat hot dog. I had a really difficult time NOT eating the chili fries though. They were not bad at all. The reason I gave Earlez four stars though, was because of my brother’s hot dog which was delicious. He literally stated that it was the best hot dog he had ever had. He ordered the spicy beef link and it came butterflied and grilled. He asked about the different topping options and the counter person mentioned that they had these sweet, saucy onions(I forget exactly what she called them.) If you go, ask for those onions. They’ll put whatever you get over the top. We were both pretty enthusiastic about his order. The location is right off of the Expo line stop at Crenshaw in Leimert Park. There’s lots of indoor seating and some patio seating as well. Seems like a nice family spot.

Tried the veggie chili dog, which was really good. Didn’t make me cry tears of non-meat joy, but was tasty enough to warrant a 2nd. I also tried the fries, which were alright. Fiancé tried 2 beef hot dogs — a chili dog, and one with«the works» He was underwhelmed, and would rate his meal 2 stars. He mentioned the chili was a bit bland and watery for his taste, «I’ve had a lot better.» The 2 female employees(working the evening of Mon 4.29) were super friendly and welcoming. They remembered my name when I came up to the counter for round 2 of veggie dogs, and seemed genuinely kind and sweet. Overall, really great service, and solid veggie options. I’ll be returning here next time I have a craving for veggie chili dogs.

I came to here to try the vegetarian hot dog. Although I was disappointed by the fairly high price for a hot dog($ 4.39 add $ 1.00 for veggie chili), it was good hot dog. I thought the chili was on the sweet side, and while I did appreciate the fact that they were generous with the chili and cooked onions, this is definitely a knife and fork situation which didn’t lend me to pick up this monstrosity. I like the fact they put some char on the dog for another layer of flavor, but not sure overall flavor and high price is enough for me to come back. Maybe on the days they have specials.

I thought i would give this establishment a few tries before rating it, as i normally do with all reviews. Reason being is it can be an off day for a business. The one exception is if you make me feel as if my business isn’t worthy of good customer service. I’ll put your ass on blast immediately. Ask Mr. K’s! ;) Okay so Earlez grill is located in a small lot with only a few parking spots, so parking might be a challenge. Inside there are ample amount of tables to sit and enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is pretty laid back with a diverse mix of people eating. I ordered the jumbo beef dog($ 3) with chili(.65) and onions on all 3 visits. The chili had a decent taste the first time, and having red onions was a nice touch i thought. So i was impressed enough to give it another try. Fast forward to my 3rd visit, and i’ll have to say the consistency of the chili on my last 2 visits weren’t the same as it was on my first. The chili tasted very bland on my last 2 visits, and made me question whether i would go back or make the drive to «Mustards’s chili dogs» in Long Beach. If you read my review for Mustards, you’ll know that is my favorite. Besides that, you can get a jumbo chili dog with chili and cheese for $ 3.59 at Mustards. Unfortunately at Earlez, you have to pay for each separate. So for a jumbo dog($ 3) with chili(.65) and cheese(.65), you will pay $ 4.30. Seems a bit high for a simple chili dog with bland chili. I would suggest giving Earlez a try if you’re in the area, because we all have varied taste. Just not sure if i will, because once you’ve had a great chili dog, you know what a great chili dog taste like, and you can’t help but compare any other to that. I really wanted to like Earlez, because it’s closer than Mustard’s in Long Beach, but i can’t rate higher than 2-stars. Especially knowing what a really good chili dog taste like. Therefore i’ll more than likely make the drive to Long Beach when i’m craving chili dogs. Just saying…

— Locale Destination — It’s on Crenshaw Blvd and W Exposition Blvd in Los Angeles. Next to «Yumyum donuts» with a purple color sign. It’s in a tiny tiny shopping plaza. Drive slowly so that you can avoid passing by. I’m not familiar with LA areas. It’s close to USC, and the area is kinda shabby. Decent amount of parking spots. Once you see their big sign, just park there. Lots of TVs. Free wi-fi at a burger/hot dog joint??? I guess it’s kinda cool. Décor is just a simple burger joint. It’s a bit outdated. They also have a few tables outside. Service was quick and friendly. Everyday they have a special discount item : M — vegetable dog $ 2.30 Tu — beef link $ 2.50 W — vegetable burger $ 4 Th — turkey burger $ 4 F — skinny fries $ 1.25 Sa — beef/turkey dog $ 1.25 Su — salmon burger $ 4 You order your foods on the left side of the counter first, and pick them up on the right side of the counter. They have good vegetable options. — Gluttony Expedition — Lemonade: It is overly sweet and very strong artificial flavor. Me no like it. Playa Punch: It’s like a mixture of lemonade and fruit punch. I’m not a fan of «cool aid». But it was a bit better than lemonade. Turkey hot dog: Hot dog was very skinny. Simple yet decent flavor. It’s not bad, but I prefer more interesting hot dogs at «Wurstkuche» in DTLA. You can have options for regular bun and wheat one. It’s kinda cool to see it out of this type of casual joint. Vegetarian chili fries: Fries were thick and big. I prefer those to shoe strings because it’s easier to eat. Big portion. This almost made me full. Chili was very light with a nice kick of cilantro. Not bad. — Conqueror’s Deduction — I was the only non-black customer here. It’s like the same situation as «Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles» in Long Beach. They tend to stare at me because I’m not a black — I’m just not afraid to go anywhere for good foods: p Hot dog combos are like $ 4.30 or $ 5.30 with fries and small drink. It’s a lot cheaper than the single hot dog at «Wurstkuche» in DTLA. If you want cheap but decent foods, come here!

So many reviews, so many stars, none for me. I came here because I was in the neighborhood and Unilocalers kept raving about. As you all recommended, I got the hot dogs(one beef and one turkey) and I got some chili cheese fries. I ate sparingly, finished half of each dog and about half the fries. My immediate reaction was, eh… Nothing special. Just a hot dog. Not big deal. If I had to choose, I would choose the turkey over the beef, but neither were fantastic. Nor was the chili anything amazing. Then I got home, and my stomach started to hurt. That was the only thing I had eaten all day(I had Earlez’ for lunch) so it couldn’t have been anything else. Sorry Earlez, I don’t think I’ll be making a return trip.

One of my absolute favorite spots! I love the service and the food! Everything here is delicious and the management/owners are great and friendly. They are always adding new things to the menu so if you were disappointed something wasn’t there on your last visit… come back in a few weeks it will probably be there! I love the veggie chili cheese fries and veggie chilli cheese dog. They have so many options for any kind of diet. You will always leave full. It can get a lil pricey if you get over zealous so pace yourself!

Forget Pinks, this place is where all LA Hot Dog enthusiasts should try instead(so much cheaper and much less of a wait timel). Order any of these to satisfy your cravings: Spicy Beef Link(Friday Special for just $ 2.50) or Beef Dog with a side of Sweet Potato Pie(I usually don’t like it, but this version was pretty good). All classic american favorites, cooked properly, full flavor profile, the whole nine yards. Chili Fries weren’t too bad but it wasn’t my thing. Also last but not least, no meal from here is complete without some PLAYAPUNCH!(Caps Lock needed for great emphasis). What you know about that Playa Punch? The whole meal costed about less than $ 10.00 with tax. Minus the socially awkward stares we received as a group(being the only Asians in the premises at the time). Although these weren’t gourmet sausages/hot dogs(Wurstkuche, Berlin Currywurst and etc.) was still a tasty and memorable experience.
