I was in desperate need of a trim. It has been at least 6 months.(gasp!) I called because the reviews were really good and the location was close. Two of my requirements when doing business, if possible. I was a walk-in, and I was lucky to have been the only one in salon at the time. Rosemary, who was awesome, took time to answer my questions and she gave me a great haircut(trim) and she even dried and styled my hair for $ 20! She was nice to talk with and I will definitely be back. What a pleasant experience. A little gem of a place, clean(and I am a fan of the large black and white tiled floors), good prices too!

One of the best mens haircuts I’ve had in LA! Can’t beat $ 17. Rosemary is great. She’s been cutting hair for a long time and it shows. Detailed and careful. I will definitely return.

Not a fancy place, but Rosemary took much care with giving me a great haircut and blowdry — for $ 35. So relaxing and wonderful cut.

This place is great! I’ve been to many other salons in LA, and while good, would always make my wallet cry in pain. Rosemary is an excellent hair stylist and gets my long, layered hair to look perfect every time! She takes her time with her clients and I never feel rushed. The décor is basic, but clean. She’s very sweet, and I also like that she doesn’t talk my ear off when I’m there!

I didn’t have a hair cut for a year before I went here. My last hair cut was at my usual lady from the Bay Area(who I’d often schedule a trip around my hair needs to visit). I met with Rosemary who totally conquered my long, wavy, and thick hair with ease. At first I thought«Oh brother does she even understand english? I hope she doesn’t chop off my hair», but boy was I wrong. She understands, interprets, and expresses what you want and does it better than expected. The price was incredibly reasonable and I’d go back in a heart beat. She did suggest that if I wanted to change the color of my hair, to bring a photo in because she’d do exactly what I wanted. I certainly will get haircuts more frequently than once a year since meeting with Dreams.

I’m not particularly fussy about my hair, but when I give pretty clear instructions and even provide photos, I expect to walk out a salon/barber looking somewhat like what I indicated. That is not what I experienced at another unnamed but nearby location – twice – so it was time to find something new. Really lucked out with Dreams. Got exactly what I wanted, had no problem getting an appointment(same day, even!), and the price was more that reasonable($ 15). Rosemary actually listens to you and brings hairstyle books of her own to confirm that she knows what you want… and then she delivers! Naturally, I left Dreams extremely satisfied and look forward to returning.

I am the first to write a review here, and I’m just sorry I waited so long. I have been having my hair cut by Rosemary at Dreams Salon on a regular basis for the past year and a half. When I moved to LA2 years ago I spent 6 months trying to find a stylist who was competent, detailed, and consistent with their cuts, without taking too large a chunk out of my bank account. I need to have my long hair trimmed and shaped every month or two because I’m prone to split ends. I went from Los Feliz to Hollywood to Bev Hills to Santa Monica, and never found the stylist who made me want to keep coming back… until Rosemary. Not only does she do an incredibly professional job, spending all the time she needs to get the cut and shape just right, but the price is right! I pay right around $ 40(and she’s a master with layers too) for a cut that would EASILY run thrice that in another salon. Now, the salon’s not fancy… it’s in a little strip mall on Fountain and Sunset Blvd and it’s clean but basic. Really though… I’ve been to plenty of fancier salons for sub-par haircuts. No more… Rosemary is my girl for good!
