We went today. We were greeted. We were asked if we needed help. We asked what they had for our phones. They showed us. I have the galaxy s5 and my hubby the note 4. They had things for both but I wanted a bling love case they had for the iphone. Didn’t have it. It was $ 15. Want bad. My hubby they had basic cases. He loves bling too. They had things for woman but not like a wallet which I have. He needs one. A man came to help us. He was nice and really tried to find what I asked for. I told him I saw some in a case when we entered. He went and looked but then we noticed it was for Iphone. He made an effort to find what I wanted. Don’t get me wrong. They have great things and great cases for phones but if you have a new phone that came out let’s say the last 5 months they will only have the basic. I saw beautiful cases for the S3 and Note 2. It’s worth looking. I have and my hubby bought numerous things here from chargers to cases, screen shields and have had no problems. Diego used to work there and he was the best. Doesn’t work there no more but the place was still good. Parking is Hella small. The have parking on the street but I don’t advise to park there. Too ghetto. In the lot they have security. The lot is so small he should know who goes in and out. Overall I like this place and I will keep checking periodically what they have for things for my phone because they have good deals. Also so far they are nice. Oh, they have a public restroom. Just FYI.

Okay, so I work nearby this place. Literally down the street from my job. I went one day during my lunch hour to purchase a USB charging port since i forgot mines at home. When i came back to my office, I connected the charging port, my usb cable, and my phone. I charged it for about 15 minutes and didn’t charge it again using the charger port for the next 3 days as i was using my apple one. Fast forward 3 days later, I tried using the charging port and it turned extremely hot! It was hot to the point where both the USB port and the charging cable started melting!!! It doesn’t end there. I disconnected the charging cable and the tip of my cable started releasing smoke! My entire office smelled like burned plastic. When i checked my phone, i noticed it would not turn on at all! I used my co-workers apple charger and my phone would not even display the phone charging image it usually shows. I went back to the cell phone shop and they opened the charger and my phone. They had the audacity to tell me I broke the charging port and it was MYFAULT that the charger broke down. By this time they had already replaced my battery inside my iphone(which worked), but they STILLCHARGEDME for them to replace my battery because it was«my fault» I do not suggest buying from this place. You can tell these people are just trying to make fast money by ripping people off. Do not go here or else they will sell you defective merchandise that will essentially ruin you phone/ipad/etc.

I was happy with the attentive service at first. But the salesguy started aggravating me by nearly dropping my naked Blackberry first and then holding on to my phone for an unnecessarily long time. Dude — 2 things not to be holding on to — my phone and my girl. At least I learned how possessive I get about my phone out of this experience. They don’t take accept credit cards, and debit cards are charged an extra $ 2. Arrive with cash. Plus when you pay, you have a Korean woman yelling at you inaudibly through a security glass cashier window. The prices are affordable, but the $ 7 screen protector doesn’t stick on the edges — so a bit cheated. And they didn’t offer many cases for my particular phone. Strangely disappointing. I think chicks may feel differently as they have a ton of gaudy offerings.

Anyone looking for any type of cellphone accessories should venture into Downtown LA and stop by Downtown Cellular. You won’t regret it. Whether you’re looking for cases or covers or even bluetooths. These aren’t the ones that look like they fell off the back of a truck in an alley or something. These are really great quality items. I used to buy all my covers, cases, earpieces, chargers from ebay. I used to think they were cheap but they’re not. I end up spending around $ 10 for a cover + $ 6 shipping — only to find that the cover arrives and lasts a week. At Downtown Cellular, I’ve bought covers for phones, leather cases and bluetooths. The guys down there know what they’re doing. Their items are super cheap too. I bought a leather case for $ 5. I saw the same one in other downtown shops for like $ 10/$ 15. If you’re in the area, definitely drop in and see what they have. I ended up buying a super cool Samsung bluetooth and got it for like ½ the price of other places. It’s brand new, sealed and works great. I ended up going back and buying 2 more. If you’re heading over from the Ktown area, go East on 8th Street and pass all those major streets like Broadway until you hit Central. When you hit Central, make a right and it’ll be on your righthand side. As with any downtown store, they leave early everyday(around 4pm, I think?) and they are closed on Sundays. Oh yeah, don’t be shocked when you have to get buzzed in. You’ll feel like you’re in South Central or something. I always go on Saturdays(in the morning).
