On National Donut Day, I enjoyed the best buttermilk bar of my entire life at this bakery. The glazed old fashioned was also delicious. Both were still warm. The man behind the counter was absolutely lovely and welcoming. I am going to dream about that buttermilk bar for all eternity. You might think I’m exaggerating a bit. I’m not.

Stopped by here on my way to school and it was a pleasant experience. Sure it doesn’t have the bells and whistles as those corporate shops, but it’s cheap and you have an opportunity to support a local business. Around 6PM I stopped in to grab a tea, I was entranced by a chocolate donut so I succumbed to one as well. For my medium tea and a donut it was $ 2.25. $ 1.50 for the tea and $.75 for the donut, that’s a great deal considering donuts are typically $.95 elsewhere. Despite the time, when I bit into my donut it was ever so soft and puffy. It had just the right amount of chocolate(but of course I’d rather drink the bucket if I could). I’ve read reviews of two women working here, but I was helped my a guy and he was very nice and courteous. I definitely would not mind stopping by again for a quick, cheap, and fair treat.

Lady was extremely RUDE because I pointed out that flies & gnats were crawling all over the donuts and muffins. I love supporting local businesses but after how she spoke to me… I will make sure not to return to this place. Unfortunate.

Seriously, the lady here is super nice. Everytime I come in for a muffin or maple bar, she just is simply the sweetest. Once, I witnessed someone trying to steal from the shop and she walked out and got the money from the person. I loved the fact that she cares about her products and her customers. Ms «Susan» is the only lady I will buy anything from at this place. I know that seems strange, but I like her approach to customers. The other lady here is boring and cold. No life what so ever.

Surprisingly good donuts! It’s not like Dunkin’ but not bad for LA!

Okay it’s a cool place to go to at all hours to get a donut, but when I went recently I was a little put off by what I saw. I was looking for a donut i liked in their very limited selection at 12am, I got a chocolate bar and then I was looking to get donut holes, but when I was about to ask for them all i noticed in the glaze were flies every where on them. I thought it was a random sprinkle, but after I paid for the bar and kept looking when my friend was deciding I kept noticing the flies everywhere. It’s probably because the bananas were in the display case with all the donuts. It was just weird, and to add to the experience the guy was killing the flies(and I mean swatting them hard in the case) while my friend and I were eating our fly free chocolate bars. It was gross!

Good selection and great tasting donuts. Every small donut shop I’ve been to is cash only. This was 1 block from the A16 swapmeet so perfect stop for breakfast bite. Very friendly clerk. They have a parking lot but it’s probably packed when it’s later in the AM. Construction nearby– south of Pico.

This place was pretty good. I had a glazed donut which chocolate icing on top. I live very close, and I have never come here before because it’s cash only. I never carry cash, and I refused to be forced to pay an atm fee because a business doesn’t have it’s shit together. If they took cards, I’d be likely to come here more often. Great prices and a tasty donut. Sounds good to me.

Let’s be fair. This place is open 24⁄7. That in itself should speak volumes about the food. If you walk in at 1 am expecting a freshly made doughnut than I’ve got news for you. As in, that would not happen. Not today, not tomorrow, not next month unless everyone in West LA craved doughnuts at 1 am on a Monday night. Which is also highly unlikely. If you want fresh than you’ll have to wake up at 6 am and grab a dozen. That’s a fresh as they’ll come! Nonetheless I give donut star 4 stars for their chewy glazed regular donut. They’re always open when I need a little carbalicious pick me up. Don’t go expecting the greatest bakery on the planet or you’ll leave disappointed complaining about cash only, or bad fillings. 4 stars for nice owners, and always a perfectly glazed doughnut at any time of the day which tastes like heaven when heated up just 10 secs in the microwave.(Sure you don’t have to nuke it but. It’s good!) –1 star for cash only, and an atm that charges an arm and a leg for your own money

Cash Only I rolled in here on a Sunday, close to noon. The selections were bare. Bf and I ordered the glaze donut oozing with bright pink artificial filling. It was unappetizing, but the donut was fresh.

If you love donuts this place is just ok, but if your like me and once a blue moon you like to treat yourself to a donut then this place is just right. I got 3 chocolate covered with custard inside donuts and a cheese Danish type pastry all for under $ 5! Good prices!

I love this donut shop. It is one of the few places that is open 24⁄7. The donuts are on the cakier side which i like. Its nice to have some density in your donut. The best time to come is around 4 am when they are freshly made. I’ll be seeing you here if you also cannot sleep.

I’ve been craving donuts for months! This morning I noticed there’s a Donut Shop just a few blocks from work. Once I walked in I was immediately helped. I got a dozen+2& a Bear Claw(cuz why the fuk not?) for about $ 10. Seems fair to me! Donuts taste delicious. As others have stated… Cash Only.

What they say: «Open 24 Hours!» What they mean: «We’ll have a lame selection of cold donuts here for you at 2 am!» Yeah, the late-night options here stunk, but beggars can’t be choosers and I didn’t feel like driving over to Randy’s. I got three donuts against my better judgment and out of sheer desperation for fried dough. Sugar twist — more like a sugary pastry pocket. Practically one big air bubble and not nealy enough dough. Chocolate Donut — decent but totally cold. I like the chocolate to be a little gooier and less like stiff icing, but they wouldn’t warm it up. Glazed with Coconut Flakes — I don’t know that I’ve ever had coconut on a yeast donut before. This one definitely needed more glaze, which I could hardly taste. Yuck. The man at the counter treated me like an inconvenience. But if I can’t really blame him; I wouldn’t want to be behind a donut counter that late at night, either.

Stopped in while getting my brakes serviced around 130 pm. The girl at the counter was suuuuuuper sweet and friendly. I would have given five stars just for her sunny attitude. But then. I picked up 12 donut holes for $ 1. Even so late in the afternoon, these were probably the best donut holes I have ever had. The best. Soft, huge and perfectly glazed.

I have a huge sweet tooth so I usually order 2 – 3 donuts at a time, which allows me to try new flavors. Fortunately, I ordered a cake crumb donut — and I’ve been back almost weekly for that delicious sucker(and that was over 2 years ago!). The cake is incredibly rich and moist, covered in a perfectly crisp crumb mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon. They also make a raised crumb donut(classic glazed with the crumb outside)… almost as amazing as the cake crumb. Totally mom and pop. They sometimes run low on milk or juice. The late night donut selection can get slim(though I’ve noticed they almost always have my cake crumb now, after I constantly complained whenever it was unavailable. yes, really.) and it is cash only. But, they are practically open for 24 hours(I think they close for 1 – 2 hours on Friday & Saturday night, from like 9−11pm). For the most part, the selection and quality are ordinary, but that cake crumb, mmm it’s something else. This rinky dink donut shop has a special place in my heart.
