What’s all the hype about? Their servers are rude, they don’t care about you or sharing the«DogHaus» experience with you(what is DogHaus about anyways?), their food I can make at home. Check out Dirt Dog down the street, their staff is always welcoming, their food is AMAZING(they have Horchata ice cream with a churro on top!!), DogHaus has NOTHING on Dirt Dog.

Dog Haus just opened a few months ago close to the USC campus and provides a nice new food variety amongst the several pizza and burger joints. My first meal there was the«Pig and Fig,» which was downright delicious. The sausage had that nice juicy bite amongst a sweet fig and onion relish. My second meal was less thrilling when I ordered the«Sooo Cali.» I didn’t enjoy the flavor of the hotdog as much as I did the sausage. Also, the Hawaiian roll bun did not pair that well for me. And this may be an eater problem, but the toppings just slopped off as I was trying to bite making for a sloppy and not well-blended mouthful of all the toppings. On my most recent trip, I returned to the sausage side of the menu and ordered the«Pig Lebowski.» Again, another delicious sausage choice — spicy meat, tangy bbq, and crunch slaw. The only weird thing was the fries; they felt out of place wedged in between the bun and sausage and really, not very necessary. Overall, I keep going back because 2 out 3 choices have been yummy and I want to try others. The place is new, clean, convenient, and the servers have also always been very nice.

Two words, BREAKFASTBURRITO! I’ve been going to the Dog Haus in Pasadena for years but I think this is the only one that serves breakfast burritos and they’re awesome. You can get any sausage, bacon, chili or a veggie with mushroom and avocado but the key is perfectly scrambled eggs and«Haus» cheese sauce. Did I mention tater tots on the inside? Cause yeah, tater tots on the inside. They have very creative sausages here too like a spicy Thai and a kielbasa that’s stuffed with cheese!!(I’m a cheese fan). Burgers, hot dogs and sausages are available at 11 but breakfast burritos are available at 7am! Waking up is hard, breakfast burritos make waking up a little easier.

Staff is really freindly and inviting, burgers are a little messy and fall apart so that’s a downer but it tastes good. I had the frieburger i think the bun is too soft for all the ingredients but still a good eat. Staff also gave us some free tots. How cool of them! One thing i forgot to mention is that our burger meat was really pink. I personally like my burgers cooked medium so it was fine by me but other people like friend really done like pink meat. It must be well done. I could see how this would lead to a bad review so i just recommend that you guys should at least ask how they would like it cooked before you cook it medium because my friend was a bit upset.

Downtown dog had me feelin like uptown funk you up! Bacon wrapped dog in Hawaiian bread with grilled and sizzled onions was absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly as well and quick turn around time.

The nice young lady running the cash register rang us up and gave my boyfriend a lot of information on the menu. Unfortunately, if you’re vegan, none of the hot dog buns are vegan and the majority of the toppings(which are either cooked in animal fat or has bacon in it) aren’t vegan or vegetarian. So, I ended up ordering an Italian veggie dog that was lettuce wrapped and topped with onions and avocado. My boyfriend ordered the signature dog that had an egg on top with an order of chili fries toped without cheese. The veggie dog was REALLY not my style. It tastes like fake meat… So much so that I had to get someone to try my dog and tell me it was indeed a veggie dog. It might be just me but I prefer my veggie dogs to taste more like veggies instead of «meat». The boyfriend did not like his hotdog. He found the bun, Hawaiian bread, to be too sweet. His tots ended up having cheese on them when he ordered them without cheese which is a bummer. Overall, I thought the service was great but the weird taste of the veggie dog and the fact that they got out order wrong will probably deter me from coming back here. I would rather get dirt dog or Wurstuche.

Dog Haus is a very good franchise you will find around, and I’m glad it is at USC. However this staff and franchise specifically is still working out the kinks… Service 2⁄5: it took nearly 50 minutes to put out two hot dogs. Note, dog Haus is NOT a restaurant it is a fast casual type of place, so this was absurd. Long line with only one woman working the register. Food: 4⁄5: I ordered the Old Town Dog. It was a pretty good hot dog I admit, and they do have many different options on the menu that I would like to try. Of course it was good, even great at times but just not worth nearly an hour wait. Overall: I’m not alone in my bad experience with this place thus, when they can start to make improvements on the staff and wait time is when this place can become a real gem.

I am very disappointed. My fiancé and I waited for over 20 minutes for our food and my in laws were already finish. My fiancé has had this problem three times at this same location. So upsetting. Never coming again here. Back to Pasadena dog Haus.

Great tasting food. Those chili cheese tots are to die far. Very friendly staff. Brought in my 7month old, they all loved her and one worker even gave us a free popsicle for her. Thanks a lot Dog Haus.

So much hate for this place already! I really enjoy coming here, but that could be because it’s a new place at Gateway and I’m tired of all the other stuff here. ~The Freiburger~ My favorite so far, even though I feel like I gained a million pounds after eating this one. I feel like it’s pretty unique, never really had a burger like this before. I highly recommend going for the burgers instead of the hot dogs here actually, just based on what my friends think as well. ~Holy Aioli~ Since all the burgers are the same price, I feel like this one just isn’t as worth compared to the Freiburger because there’s less stuff in it. Yes, it’s good, but the Freiburger is even better. Also, I was able to finish this completely but with the Freiburger, I got full halfway through. ~Fries~ Stay away. Way too salty and they barely give you any… ~Tatertots~ The best side and the best tatertots I’ve had. Everyone around me is addicted to this now after trying it, they make it especially crunchy. Maybe I’ll try the cheese tots next time! Line can get really long, and if you order tatertots or fries, it takes even longer for your food to come out. Skip this place if you don’t live nearby cause I don’t think I’d make the drive over.

Not bad. The hype was full steam as there has been nothing but long lines here since they opened not too long ago. Of course, having tried the Pasadena location I’ve had it before but it’s been awhile and I couldn’t quite recall if it was a memorable experience or a simply«good» one. Anyway, I tried the Grand Slam dog and made it a combo with Sweet Potato fries. I do feel like the dog was good, but looked better than it tasted. As an overall experience, it wasn’t one where I just craved the next bite. That being said, it’s definitely worth a try! I just wouldn’t put it with my regular stops around USC for lunch.

Was really really looking forward to a replacement for all the boring foods at Gateway.nah. Didn’t blow me away at all. Got the Sooo Cali and it was hard to eat, not that tasty, and the wait was pretty long :(I have to say that despite it being a hot dog, the avocado makes it taste pretty healthy haha Not saying this place is nasty but it was just average. I also got the Tater Tots which were pretty good so I recommend those. I’ve seen people try the hot dog with the egg on top(forgot the name) but maybe I’ll try that next to see if I like it. Other than that, I really don’t see an urge to come back here immediately. So sad :( Service was nice though! People were really friendly, especially the guy that delivered my hot dog!

Free bird is gone! Hi Dog Haus. My friends and I decided to go try this place after meeting up on a Friday for a school project. Unsurprisingly, the line for this place was pretty long. I’m assuming it’s because is a new hip burger place around SC and we all love trying new things. I had the hangover burger(patty, egg and really soft bread) and although I thought it was pretty good, it wasn’t anything out of the world. I’ve definitely had way better burgers for the same price. You can get a combo with fries and a drink but to be honest, there were only less than 12 pieces of fries. I guess I was expecting way more.

It’s not quite up to speed yet here as Dog Haus is fairly empty most of the time. The food comes out rather slowly even on a slow day and they don’t have a license to sell alcohol. Yet. Once Dog Haus starts serving alcohol, I have no doubt that business will start picking up.(In case you don’t know, the Dog Haus in Pasadena is more of a sports bar and is much more popular than the newly opened one here) Onto the food. Since the staff aren’t fully trained yet, their food isn’t Dog Haus status yet. Everything’s there yet isn’t. The food tends to come out somewhat lukewarm. I’ll have to give this Dog Haus another chance another day when it’s more established.

Awesome brand new location!!! Burbank is a killer spot but this one is much closer. Much bigger and more seating options. Don’t forget #Boxedwaterisbetter Service here is pretty slow. I think since its a little newer, they’re gonna struggle at first so patience is a must here! Especially with people not knowing what they want.

Hawaiian bread, tater tots, awesome toppings… This is everything hot dogs and burgers aspire to be. My favorite is the Sooo Cali, since I love the delicious toppings they add. With prices moderate and college student friendly, this is a great place to visit for a nice lunch or dinner. Just be careful of the wait times though – the line at the cashier tends to move very slowly. However, unlike the Pasadena locations, this one doesn’t have the sports bar vibe, DJ with awesome music, and most importantly, the biergarten!!! I hope they get their liquor license very soon, so that they can fully be the Dog Haus I know and love(and so they can be another option on Fig besides the 9 – 0).

This is opposite of ice cold Dog Haus that fast food gold This one for cowboy Scott Baioli a straight masterpiece Stylin, whilein, living up those hot dog styles Got chilli and fritos on my little leaguer I gotta kiss the hot dog(like in mean girls) it’s so pretty Too hot(hot dog) Gotta call police and the fireman Too hot(hot dog) Make other hot dog vendors want to retire man Too hot(hot dog) This is opening day, you know who I am? A new place to eat at USC = hallelujah A new place to eat at USC = hallelujah Cause their downtown dog will give it to you Their downtown dog will give it to you Friday opening night, look at the line Don’t believe me just wait(in it). (sung to the lyrics of «Uptown funk») So today was opening day and I was beaten to the first review by only a few hours. Not too shocking because the line was about an hour but it’s opening day, that’s expected. The staff however seemed chill and were filming all of us(yay Mom, I’m going on TV!). The staff seemed a bit slow but it’s the first day, they’ll get it soon. I ordered the downtown dog and the sweet potato fries. It’s a bacon wrapped hot dog with mustard, mayo and ketchup. The bun was definitely better than regular buns, the dog was definitely better than regular dogs. I’m really excited to try to the others, especially the little league one. Overall, I like it(and the prices) and I am glad it is right below my apartment. Go here because I will be going here more.
